“Very nice place with digital tap board showing how much is left of each keg. Very nice mix of beer taps, with some ciders and wine also. The food menu has some goodies not usually found and quite tasty. Bartender seemed to know at least half of the 10 or so people at the bar by first name, and was happy to offer tasters of new arrivals. I'd go back without hesitation.“

“A small brewery in a strip mall a bit of the main road. Place is a bit sterile inside but has a music vibe with all sort of memorabilia on the wall. A few TVs by the bar. Service was good. They had 8 beers on tap and samplers were available. I had the nachos and they were solid. Prices were pretty cheap. Decent spot overall.“

“So many new breweries. Seriously…who knows where they all are? These guys popped up last year, with this mixed mission of live music, light kitchen, and new brewhouse run by guys with no pro brewing experience. You could certainly be forgiven for having no idea what to expect with all of that going on. Turns out they’re hitting it out of the park.

There are a lot of new offices and warehouse spaces sprouting up on the edges of the Monroe business district, particularly on this side. People are out walking along the little pond in the mornings, and it seems like they swing around later for beers and foods. We showed up right when they opened. Actually, given that they’re on their winter hours, it was right before they opened, but they were happy to welcome customers even while they straightened up the place for the day’s work.

There’s a good-sized bar and there are plenty of tables in the taproom, which doubles as a live music space in the evenings. You’re clearly in a brewery, with tap handles on the left and shiny stainless tanks straight ahead. But they’re not messing around with the live music, either. To your right are wedge monitors, and behind the bar, behind curtains, are Vox monitors and other cool vintage guitar equipment. Not to mention all the guitars of various vintages displayed on the wall.

If you look closer around the taproom, you see that all the photos are shots of musicians playing live around the Seattle area. I got the distinct impression that somebody who works at the brewery took all the shots, but I didn’t confirm that. The kitchen faces right out onto the taproom, and if you get there first thing, you’re pretty much chatting with everybody, from chef to bartender to brew crew, who are all stoked about what they’re doing and happy to welcome you.

The menu is straightforward, focused on sandwiches. Mostly paninis. There are one or two other things, but this is stuff they can do well out of a small space with minimal waste; it’s a very well-designed menu for a new business.

The beer list is solid, with one of the better blonds I’ve had in a long time, and a super-solid APA, very dry, lots of crystal clear hoppy bitterness. When we were in, our bartender was one of the assistant brewers, who also sings, plays guitar, and writes songs. The TVs were playing live concert footage with full sound, and there was a turntable behind the bar, with a decent stash of vinyl stacking up.

They’re getting to the point where they’ve gotten good feedback consistently everywhere they have taken kegs, and are ready to step up and find a path to getting kegs out to more places. Looking forward to trying their beers without having to drive quite so far, but, still, I’ll happily hit up this place again for pints. “

“Great food, service and ambiance in the restaurant and the tap room is awesome for tasting, darts or watching the game.“

“An interesting little watering hole out on the way to the mountains. Couple of dining rooms, small bar area, long physical bar. You can bring the kids up to practically arms’ length of the bar itself, which is kind of surprising because the place looks like the standard neighborhood dart house in a lot of ways. Stage at one end, arcade games, plenty of room to stand or sit. The lineup is certainly solid enough, if nothing crazy. Macros aplenty, but lots of good craft brew, and they have carefully trained the staff how to describe it, sell it, and ask you questions about your tastes. The food’s just a pile of burgers, sandwiches, soggy fries, and fried appetizers, but you can get fed if you’re on the way back from hiking or wheeling, and get a decent beer while you’re at it. The more expensive option in town would be Adam’s Northwest, but they’re still a very new entity as of this writing, so I can’t say much by way of comparison.“

“If you are on the way back from Leavenworth or Stevens Pass, this isn’t a bad place to stop. On tap, they had a few good ones; Georgetown’s 9 lb. Porter (best bet there today), Deschutes Red Chair and Green Lakes Organic, Full Sail IPA, Mac & Jack’s African, etc.. Average bar food; I’d eat first at excellent Teddy Bear’s BBQ just a bit west on Main Street.“

“Eddie’s Seems to be trying to please every beer drinker, and succeeds to some degree. Out of twenty taps, there are about eight for the BMC crowed, another eight for ’standard’ microbrews like Mac ’n Jacks Amber, and then about four ’interesting’ microbrews like Deschutes The Abyss. The fact that they had The Abyss on tap a month after release seems to say a lot about the amount of foot traffic they get from beer geeks. The food is hit and miss: sandwiches tend to OK, while dipping sauces tend to excellent, my french fries were limp and soggy, while my wife’s sweet potato fries were tasty and crisp. Service in general was quick an efficient, the kitchen was glacially slow.“

“**Still called Twin Rivers Brewing**

This is a fancy restaurant in Monroe, and that alone makes it ambitious. Monroe didn’t really have anything fancy until these guys took over the place. It has always been called Twin Rivers Brewing, but the brewery sold with the bistro in early ’11. The new owners are slowly reviving the brewery side, though they’re restaurant people, not brewers. But they’re learning. The food here really is good, they’re ambitious and they’re very experienced. I’m eager to get back in here and try more of the beers again. They were always kinda hit or miss before, but the hits were really good, and it’s cool that they’re out here doing something aggressive in the middle of nowhere.“
