“A cool little brewery located in beautiful montclair nj. The taproom is old school with recycled materials, corrugated metal, recycled wood panels. Service was excellent and friendly. Flight of 4 for 12$. No food. Beers are ok to solid, but their interpretation of lambics are a bit too much like gose. Cool music selection.“

“Large, multichamber, high ceilinged brewpub with a large deck and parking space at the back. Quite a large food menu, five of their own beers and an additional 22 beers on tap, around 30 bottles, nothing terribly exciting but some NJ beers available. Flights of 4 are also available. Nice overall for a lunch or dinner.“

“Visit date: 12/15/18
New brewery that just opened in Montclair this fall. Located right by the Walnut street train station. Nice spot with a decent amount of bar seating and other table, seating areas. My first visit here was a quick one, got in just before closing with enough time to have a quick flight of 4. Crowded, but not overly so on a Saturday evening. There was some seating available. Service was friendly. Beers were solid, though maybe could use a bit of refinement. Overall beer impression was probably above average homebrew turned brewery type offerings that don't quite pop yet, but drink nicely / cleanly. No food (BYOF) or non-beer (alcoholic) drinks, but they do have housemade sodas. Good to see Montclair get a brewery, and this one makes sense in this town.“

“Good taps, not nearly enough bartenders. Took me 15 minutes to get a drink. Then I got cut off for no good reason after like five beers. Wasn’t drunk, wasn’t making a scene, wasn’t being loud - my best guess was that I was smoking too close to the window outside. I didn’t leave a tip, and I’m usually a very generous tipper. Decent taps, decent ambiance, the food looks pretty good (though I didn’t eat there), but the service is absolutely atrocious.“

“Ok so first off couldn’t figure out how to get in this place, or maybe I had too many drink prior! Anyway place is nice, more on the fancy elegant side. 4 house beers on tap, no flights, and only 20oz pours. Our waiter was a real douche! And if you use the bathroom, be prepared to have some pictures of creepy old drunk dudes staring at you while you take a whiz! Most likely the last time I visit!“

“Not a terrible place for a couple of beers. The three house beers they had were fine. The bartender was okay, but seemed mostly uninterested in the customers. I didn’t try any food. Don’t go out of your way.“

“Not a great selection, all the basics but nothing really rare. Great staff though, very friendly and willing to help.“

“This is not really a craft beer place. As others have said...they have some craft beer made for them by Cricket Hill. Otherwise their tap and bottle selection is weak at best. The food is decent though. Also, the building and atmosphere are quite nice, although your opinion will vary a lot based on the day and time you go. The place can get quite crowded and often be more of a youngish singles crowd. Nothing wrong with that...but again...not really a place I would recommend for a craft beer experience.“

“nice looking wine shop not small and not big with modern lighting, nice wood accents and a surprisingly interesting collection of bottles. made more so with ecclectic pricing that will enable you to walk away with a bargain from time to time. the friendly staff and the quaint neighborhood keeps me driving out to this place time and again.“

Amanti Vino (Beer Store)

“While mostly a wine shop, Amanti Vino has an excellent craft beer section. They don’t have a huge selection but they often have hard to find and higher class selection. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeble. They have a montly beer club and often host tastings and pairing dinners at local restraunts. Parking can be difficult!“

“Not quite what you’d expect from an Irish Pub but I guess this is what you get in Montclair. The beer is not brewed on site. It’s actually from Cricket Hill of Farfield, NJ. An enjoyable but unspectacular line up of brews. Worth a trip if you are in the area.“

“Good place for dinner and a Corsendonk. The clientele are really snooty, cheesy, and annoying. The house brewed beers are at best average.“

“This place brews its own beers and usually has 3 or 4 on tap. In addition, they carry about 10 guest taps. The home-brewed stuff is the reason to visit. Lagers and ales run a tad toward the bitter side, much like Heartland in NYC. A nice, if sterile, ambiance. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.“

“Nice store, very clean and helpful people. Very good beer selection in a few coolers and even had some Utopias last time I was in. Very large wine and liquor selection. Good prices and wide variety. Nice part of downtown Montclair, Valley rd. Selection ranges from Otter Creek, Victory, Troegs, Belgians, most Sams and some other locals.“

“Place is pretty nice and you get a good mug pour of all the house beers. The food is excellent. Last time I was there I had the corned beef and cabbage that was to die for. mmm. Not sure the final word on who brews the beer but it is usually good and pairs well with the food. Slightly upscale pub type place that I enjoyed.“

“Nice ambience. Bar staff could have been more attentive, but was friendly. Tap selection could be expanded a bit, but the standards are there; House brew is average. A seat at the bar during a slow hour can be a good time.“

“This is the place to go if you live in the Upper Montclair area and want good beer without going for a ride. Coolers in the back with a pretty good selection including Weyerbacher, Ommegang, Heavyweight, and a nice variety of Rogue bombers. They also have a really nice selection of Saki, with some being kept cold along with the beer. You can browse their beer selection in alphabetical order on their web-site, but newer offerings aren’t updated (Weyerbacher Decadence is currently available).“

“A nice bar, somewhat expensive for New Jersey, but this is gentrified Montclair you’re kidaddling in. Young professional crowd, very crowded these days, but it did just open. Lots of standard quality beers on tap, as well as four of their own... about two of which are creative. Worth a look for an expensive night out. Go to Trumpets around the corner for good jazz afterwards.“

“It is a pretty nice place, new so I hear. They ID everyone at the door because it is 21 to enter, but when you get back to the bar they ID anyone who looks under 30 again I think. It is a real pain, but I think it is just this one bartender. They take forever to get to you and even when they are there, they are incapable of taking a second order, they can only do one at a time. I was there for 90 minutes and only got 2 beers. It was crowded but not overly crowded for a Friday night. They have a decent amount of beers on tap and I know they have bottles just not how many. They had 5 of their own beers on tap, I had two and they were not bad. The brewery is located right there on the premises so I was told. It was not a bad place to go, but they could do with some better bartenders.“
