62 /100 Mockbeggar Hall (JDW) (Bar) 239-241 HOYLAKE ROAD Good clean cheap bar, but no atmosphere, typical spoons |
58 /100 Frampton Arms (Bar) HURST ROAD Large, extended pub right by the Station in Moreton, between 2 camping sites. There are several rooms available, mostly given over to eating, but one bar is retained for drinking. Dorset ales are mostly featured. Worth a look. |
60 /100 Mockbeggar Hall (JDW) (Bar) 239-241 HOYLAKE ROAD In the middle of Moreton’s commercial centre on the slightly rising main road on the way to Hoylake, this Wetherspoon occupies a converted twin floored shop unit with both levels open for the usual drinking and dining, although it’s still a pretty small Wetherspoon pub even with the double floor. The bar on the ground floor is set back into the pub against the right wall but is long enough to sport two rows of rotating real ales. There’s also a small enclosed patio area at the rear of the building. This pub has a very local focus as the area is not on any tourist trail. |
