56 /100 Chichester Arms (Bar) CHAPEL HILL The Chichester Arms is picturesquely set in a small village close to the North Cornwall coastal path. It's quite large for a small village such as Mortehoe but proved to be very popular. The beers are pretty much standards for the area with one guest from a local brewery, well served. The outdoor seating area takes up most of the car park with a small garden area. It has occasional beer festivals, which I missed by one day and no beer was left over. |
68 /100 Mortehoe Village Stores (Grocery Store) BARRICANE HOUSE Popped in here for a Devon Pasty and saw the beers lined up, it's a pretty impressive range of local beers with a few nationals thrown in, for such a remote spot. Business was brisk on our visit, looks like a decent turnover of the beers. The pasties were excellent too. |
64 /100 Mortehoe Village Stores (Grocery Store) BARRICANE HOUSE Small old-style corner shop in Mortehoe with around 50 regional real ale and cider bottles, some I'd not seen in other shops. Good place to collect some scoops before heading to the northern cost for some seal-watching. This place and Londis in Woolacombe seem to be the best choice for the tick-minded in the area. |
