“Located in an industrial area, there is a nice taproom with outdoor seating, and the ability to wander around the brewery. Service was great, but not a huge selection. All in all, definitely worth a trip if in Myrtle Beach.“

“Fairly typical Total Wine. Solid selection of local and national craft beers. This one makes a big commitment to local brews. Importantly, they sell singles - always a huge plus. Don't expect too many exotics, but a very solid shop.“

“Patty and I stopped in on way back from Disk golf at Splinter City Disc golf course. I got a nice hazy NEIPA in a to go plastic cup so we could walk around as Patty say what she wanted to see.“

“Well, I finally did it, drank Beer in a grocery store. Bob has talked about it for years. When my picture finally updated in untapped, Bob named 3 of the people standing in line behind me for beer. Last day for $2,50 pints. I gave her $4, Limited amount of $1.99 singles and pic 6 for $11.99(12 oz) they can't break up the 16oz 4 packs. I got one good 4 pack to split with Pete. There is good beer there, Bob just does not buy it to bring back to Rochester. “

“Pretty nice place, in the heart of the tourist district of Myrtle Beach. Bar food only, but a decent variety of beer styles and a knowledgeable staff. I enjoyed my visit here.“

“Really great location and vibe, service was nice too. We played trivia and ate here too. Recommend both of those too. Beer selection a bit thin, and beer a bit on the mediocre side. But still, because it's Myrtle Beach, and not lots of alternatives, worth a stop.“

“My friend Bob LOVEs this place! It has great pricing on Thursday around happy hour, and decent pricing other times. They also seem to do pony kegs, and the selection is constantly rotating including one high boost beer. Not really my thing, I'd prefer a more relaxed atmosphere but if you are into price number 1, and decent variety, you may want to check it out. You can walk around store with beer in plastic, or sit nearby and get it in glass.“

“Bob showed me this place a year or two ago, and I had my picture taken here, to remind me it was a very solid place to buy beer. Going to this area of the Myrtle is usually very crowded, which is the main strike about it, but really an enjoyable place to visit, recommend. Giant.“

“When you ask a local where the best place to find retail craft beer and they tell you Total Wine, you kinda sigh. But I gotta say, this was probably the best Total Wine visit we've ever had, and we've been to a lot of them. Myrtle Beach has rows and rows of "local" (really regional, but same thing I guess) beers, with vast opportunities to grab singles. If my wife wasn't along and I'd had more time, I probably could've left with a couple cases of singles that I'd never had. I chose restraint and picked 9 for me and 3 for the wife, plus a couple six packs each. We were approached by a super-knowledgeable staff member who kindly steered us toward some SC nuggets that we may not have otherwise known about. And for out-of-state visitors, it was awesome to find a lot of things we can't get at home. Definitely a stop for out-of-towners and locals too!“

“So your GPS will take you to the right spot, but you won't see any signage for Independent Republic Brewing Co., but rather The Boathouse. Apparently IRBC is a subset of the bigger Boathouse venture, which initially comes across as more of a southern USA, waterfront (nice views!) redneck-y pub. They had about 7 house-made brews to offer on tap, but they were all kinda unique by craft beer standards, at least mimicking Corona or some such, plus some other fruity offerings. They did, however, also offer about a dozen other pretty decent, mostly regional craft beers. An ultimately, the staff was super efficient and friendly, the food was excellent, and the house beers we did try were pretty good. A bit off the beaten path in MB, but worth a visit for a weary beer traveler in the otherwise mostly beer wasteland of beach country South Carolina. Brewery #911.“

“A bit of a touristy bar. Nice big selection of beers, some you don't see elsewhere. Staff is beer educated and very friendly. Very good deals off season, at happy hour. Worth a stop.“

“Nice tasting room and brewery in a warehouse industrial building tucked into an out of the way little industrial area just a few blocks from all of the tourist shps and restaurants. The beers I tried here were really great. I only tried 3 as they do not have flights (SC Liquor laws - because they are a production brewery and do not sell any food, they are limited to a certain amount of ounces per customer - they actually give you a wrist band to count the total ounces consumed). Despite the wierd liquor laws, I had an outstanding visit. The bartender was extremely friendly and liked talking beer - and really knew what he was talking about. Very unexpected this close to the touristy Myrtle Beach scene.“

“Going to dirty Myrtle? So, this is a typical grocery store, but they have a mixed six and its only $10. Many of them are locals! Yes, 12 and six packs as well on the one kind deal. Hey, their fried food is some of the local best! Very affordable, and the italian hard crust homemade loaves are some of the best, thank you! Make sure you ask for the local discount card at the checkout, if you are from outtah town!“

“Right on one of the main roads in Myrtle beach (US 17). Small free dedicated parking lot. Run down small bottle shop. Small selection with a few gems. Prices are fairly high. The lady working didn’t really know much about their stock and didn’t seem to interested. They don’t break up six-packs.“

Around 60 small format singles, around 20 bigger bottles, six taps for growlers, and a dozen or so cans. Prices are good. I didn’t find anything I wanted to buy and wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.“

“Came here on 21.5.2016. A very commercial bar with some interesting beers on tap (e.g. St Ambrose Evil Twin). Around 50 draft beers including the Miller’s and Bud’s. Came during the Harley week and most of the people had Bud Light. Waiters not beer knowledgeable at all. Due to the beer selection still worthwile to come here.“

“Stopped in here everytime in Myrtle back from ’04’ thru ’08’ When we stayed in town for spring break. One side of the building beer. The other side hard liquor. They had the best supply in the area of craft beer. It was not much as compared to places up here in NY though. It did the job.“

“Was there over the summer for a tour and growler fill. These guys know their stuff, are passionate about what they do, and they know their clientele, and make beers they can sell to said clientele. That being said, they brew small batches of really good beer that they keep on the premises. You can get these on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and if you just want a growler fill, you go in towards the end of the tour time. Hope these guys stick around a long time.“

“Rating from April 2009 and April 2011. This is simply a place to stop if you can’t get to a couple other places nearby. Decent selection, prices are ok. It does the job. Looking at some of the recent reviews, I will be sure to pay attention on my visit soon.“

“Not a bad selection at all. Basically little of nothing on the import end, but a good selection of American craft brews. Prices were fair. I saw a few overpriced beers, but most were reasonably priced. Some were downright cheap for what they were, (Southern Tier for $6.99?!! They go for $9.99 in Louisville). No mix and match, unfortunately. But on the plus side for the traveler, most of the beer is warm. Though they do have a cooler that houses some stuff not available warm. They do have taps now too, 6 of ’em. Looked like mostly brewery flagship beers though. Didn’t really talk to the people working about any beers, but they lady who rang me up seemed friendly enough and engaged me in small chit-chat. Not quite the selection that the Market Commons Piggly Wiggly has, but nice none the less.“

“Recommended by a local. Even though this is a "chain" restaurant, it is locally owned and run. Food was excellent... try the "Philosopher’s" pizza... steak and portobello, artichoke, olives, feta ... really good. Noah Byrne was the bar (restaurant?) manager and is very knowledgeable about the beer that they are serving. Seek him out for the details on what is being served.“

“Recommended by a local as a place having a good selection of craft beers. Good variety, but not that large. They do have a "singles" selection, which is always nice. Mix of 6-packs, 22oz bombers and 750ml corked. Right off the Rte 17-Bypass.“

“Another of the T-Bonz Restaurant Group’s offerings in this area. Menu selection was different as was their beer selection. Some regionals on the list was well as the draft locally made "Liberty" beers. Food was very good as was the service... not crowded when we were there. Seemed to be a gathering place for locals after work.“

“One of the few places in the Myrtle Beach area with a decent selection of craft beer... not large by comparison, but enough to make the trip worthwhile if you are tired of looking at piles of AB-InBev products in the other stores. Your typical crowded beer store. Property includes a Green’s liquor store (separate entrance). We were a bit disappointed that there were very few local/regional offerings in their selection. Nobody at the store was knowledgeable about the beer selection and could not tell me why no locals. I thought the prices were pretty high compared to what we found in other local stores carrying craft beer.“

“As far as available beers, they did much better than anyone else in Myrtle. What a beer graveyard. Selection was good for the area. Found some Founders, Terrapin and Harpoon I was unable to get back in MD. Two price scales: Cash or Non-Cash. Cash prices were not even that big of a deal. But, I was not picky for what I had to work with.“

“Selection has apparently improved since the last rating. I found many hard to find beers here, some of which I drank on our hotel patio, others which I brought home since I can’t find them within an hour of my home. Selection included Orval, St Bernardus, Westmalle Dubbel, Rochefort 6,8,& 10, Ommegang Abbey Ale, several Rogues, Great Divides and lots of micros. It took a while to browse through everything. Prices seemed a little high, but I did enjoy a couple large Lion Stouts for 2.95 each.“

“Blah...they weren’t kidding when they said Myrtle Beach was a beer graveyard. This was the only store that I found that had more than the usual BCM swill. Had some German and Oriental(?) imports mostly but here’s the giveaway..I asked an employee if they had any Belgian beers he said "Belgian?"..I said yes. He looked on the shelves for a minute and said "Do you know who makes it?" He thought it was a brand. Nuff said“
