68 /100 Vinmonopolet Narvik (Beer Store) NARVIK STORSENTER, KONGENS GATE 66 Vinmonopolet w Narwiku to niezbyt duzy sklep monopolowy. Niestety dominuja mocne alkohole i wina, piwo obejmuje jeden regal. Wsród piw bylo kilka perelek z USA i Skandynawii |
42 /100 Rallar’n Pub og Kro (Bar) KONGENSGATE 64 Felt more like a restaurant than a bar. Most interesting beer selection of all bars in Narvik (in 2017) but still not a great beer destination. Nøgne Ø IPA and Wit in the fridge were the only decent beers I saw. Not good enough! One of the young barmaids said that they were planning to offer more bottles, time will show. Free newspapers. 40 /100 Narvikguten Pub (Bar) DRONNINGENS GATE 60 Lets face it, Narvik is not a craft beer destination. This pub hardly deserve an entry here at RateBeer. Ambiance is not bad and and the barman was properly dressed and offered friendly service. Beer selection is a disaster since this is a Ringnes pub. But, I needed a cold beer after a long drive this day. (Visited July 18th 2017) |
50 /100 Narvikguten Pub (Bar) DRONNINGENS GATE 60 Visited on a Friday evening in June 2017. A rather small place located in central Narvik with a friendly service. The small patio was full of locals. The selection was nothing special although I found one new beer, E.C. Dahls Pepra Saison. |
54 /100 Rallar’n Pub og Kro (Bar) KONGENSGATE 64 Visited on a Friday afternoon in June 2017. I kind of liked the wooden interior and the sunny patio. The service was pleasant but the selection was nothing special. A couple of beers on tap and 11 bottles. (Corona, Nøgne Ø Pale Ale, Birkebeiner, Guiness Extra Stout and others) Located in central Narvik, close to Vinmonopolet and the mayor hotels. |
62 /100 Vinmonopolet Narvik (Beer Store) NARVIK STORSENTER, KONGENS GATE 66 Visited on a Friday afternoon in June 2017. Centrally located, not far from the Train Station and the mayor hotels in Narvik. The selection was ok, I found some new Norwegian breweries. (Harstad Bryggeri and Lofotpils) |
42 /100 Narvikguten Pub (Bar) DRONNINGENS GATE 60 A classic, informal, street corner pub established in 1996, supposed to be the most popular one in town. A Ringnes pub with taps from Frydenlund, Ringnes (Nordland) and Carlsberg. Bottles from Brooklyn, Guinness, Kilkenny and a few more. Friendly service and background music from the up and coming Norwegian artist Sondre Justad. A little pavement patio outside. Good pub, poor selection of beers (visited with Yngve after talking about early modern witchcraft in the church 09.11.2015). |
48 /100 Rallar’n Pub og Kro (Bar) KONGENSGATE 64 There are about 10 different pubs and bars in Narvik, but none of them can be called craft beer destinations. This one is perhaps the closest you get, at least there was a pale ale from Nøgne Ø, a German Weissbier, Brooklyn’s East India Pale Ale and a few more. Frydenlund Pale Ale and Mack Pils on the taps. It’s an inviting and cozy, medium sized place in old timber décor divided into different sections. On one of the walls there is photos of all the Svarta Bjørn women from 1959 until today. It was a great pleasure to look at the beautiful photo of Ellen Alm, holding the Svarta Bjørn title in 2003/04. Oh, happy days! Food was tasty, I had a Braised lamb with carrot, asparagus, Anna potatoes and lamb sauce from the a la carte menu. Friendly service. Johnny Cash in the back. Rallar’n Pub og Kro is a part of the Quality Hotel Grand Royal but with its own entrance. Central location in the main street close to Narvik Storsenter where the local Vinmonopolet can be found (visited 09.11.2015) (Place rating no. 500). |
54 /100 Vinmonopolet Narvik (Beer Store) NARVIK STORSENTER, KONGENS GATE 66 An ordinary Vinmonopolet store, located in a shopping center, Narvik Storsenter. Beer selection was what I expected: nothing special, but better selection than in smaller towns in the region. I didn’t see any beers from Skavli Brygghus, which I doubt have ever been on a regular basis in the shelves. When in town, why not visit some WW2 attractions? I did! (Visited July 17th 2015) |
