72 /100 Johnsons Market Place (Grocery Store) 69 ROUTE 11 Smallish building on the main drag in New Durham if there is such a thing. Its mainly a butcher shop but they do carry a very nice selection of the craft beers that are available in NH. I stumbled into this place after a service call far outside my normal area. I managed to find an
Allagash beer I hadn’t seen closer to home. Service was about what you’d expect from a grocery store. Pricing seemed about normal for the area. I’d go back if I was nearby but wouldn’t make a special trip. |
86 /100 Johnsons Market Place (Grocery Store) 69 ROUTE 11 Just 10 minutes from my house and a real gem at that. First off this isn’t just another beer store. Here we have quality seafood, meats, desserts (love the pies), wine, cheese and yes beer. And if your up in the lakes region for vacation and forgot your favorite drinking vessel, fear not they sell glassware too.
The quality is top notch. The food is always fresh and can be prepared and pre-ordered per your convenience.
Ben, (Benjamin you know who you are), Zach and Matt are at your service and ready to help whether you know your stuff or not. This trio you can surely trust.
For the most part to the left is wine (which is where I find my wife’s Urban) and to the right is craft beer. For the area you won’t find a better selection of either. Just bear in mind this is NH and our beer restrictions are a bit of a challenge. We’re improving each year but we still have some hurdles.
The prices are fair in terms of quality so the value is certainly within reason.
I recommend anyone who is visiting the Lakes Region via Rte 11 stop in here and check it out.
