“I could basically say "ditto" to esjaygee's review below. Just ticking this place cause its already here. Big standard grocery store; a little bigger than the typical Pick N' Save. Big liquor selection with craft beer and a BYO section. However, BYO singles are a little meh for a local. And there are better places to go to pick up groceries and ticks nearby (Woodman's).“

“Great selection on 12 oz 12 pks of malt liquor. Woodman's also sells pure happiness for 10.99 fresh.“

“Typically massive grocery store as with the other locations. Cash or debit only. Lots of singles, solid well rounded selection. Saw a couple singles here I didn't see elsewhere. Markedly better selection that the other nearby Woodman's locations, which makes up for the fact the grocery selection is the weakest. Prices quite good. It's a grocery store but a decent stop for ticks if you're nearby.“

“Came here to hop on the shuttle to World of Beer festival. Returned after the fest to have dinner before going home. I was quite impressed with the beer selection, my only regret is that it’s currently under construction and kind of a pain to get into the lot. If I lived closer, I’d be a regular for sure!“

“6 shelves x 50 feet of Wisconsin craft beer alone! The staff has kept me informed of when the new releases come out, and even the distributors who stock the place do the same. Single bottles abound here!“

“Found some Belgian red here when most others had sold out. Dedicated parking lot, actually had a car show in the lot when I was there. Employees not necessarily real knowledgeable about beer, but held some beer until we got there. Descent selection of New Glarus and Germans.“

“This is the beerhall/resturaunt that I take my wife (and other friends) to, since she’s not a beer lover. A wide variety of excellent food at good prices, always great service, interesting seasonal decor, and good accoustics in the dining room. With 30 taps, there’s always plenty of great beers to choose from. Even has great outside summer patio. My only complaint is if you come late at night on a weekend, there’s sometimes loud entertainment in the bar.“

“Exactly like every other Woodman’s with a decent selection of New Glarus and other WI breweries. Decent mix six selection.“

“Fantastic selection, a tiny bit overpriced. Who cares about ambiance at a beer store? The people were nice, but they didn’t really offer to help. Great to look around and find special things.“

“Wonderful, friendly staff. Very good selection. The organization is very logical, on the far wall from the main entrance they have malt liquors, ciders, domestic craft brews, singles, and finally wisconsin craft brews. Adjacent to that wall are the imports. Then 12 packs and larger are around the other walls. The beer also seems to be replenished often, I have not yet had a beer that had peaked from them.“

“Milwaukee’s southern suburbs are not known for establishments with adventurous beer selections. Most places with this many taps have all the Miller and Bud brands and little else. Erv’s not only has an excellent selection that is frequently changed, but it also has beer menus with good descriptions of current offerings. The bartenders don’t rush you and are quick to offer a sample if you’re not sure which to get. They also cater to those who want to try a little of several with flights of 5 4-oz glasses for $7. There’s an excellent selection of appetizers and sandwiches to go along with the beer.“

“If you can get past the lack of any appreciable ambiance and a sales staff that is polite but clueless about the products they sell, then you’ll really enjoy this beverage store on steroids. The refrigerated section goes on for miles (OK, maybe just 200 feet) and there is nearly everything from the most nasty cheap-o Wisconsin beers (and we have several to go along with the gems) to the priciest Belgians. Prices are more than competitive with nearly every other liquor store in town (except, of course, Discount Liquor) and there’s the added bonus of nearly everything being refrigerated. To fill out your grocery cart, there are aisles of wines, vodkas, rums, whiskeys and the latest fru-fru 20% alcohol mixers, but you’ll come back for the beer.“

“Hardly any service. A lot of mid level breweries, nothing spectacular. Prices are very fair, especially for the area. Make your own 6-pack is nice. There are a good amount of imports, but again, nothing overly exciting. Not a bad place to go if there is nothing else nearby.“

“Hidden gem in Oak Creek that serves craft beer and decent food. They had about 30 beers with craft beer offerings - stuff like Oak Aged Unearthly, Raison D’Etre, Nitro Snake Chaser and Great lakes Dopplerock. A handful of taps are left for macro swill, I’m sure that helps pay the bills. The menu has appetizers, burgers and a handful of dinner entrées. There aren’t too many places in town to grab a steak a decent IPA. The decor was nice, old tap handles and brewerania all over the place. Service was a tad sub par on my first visit - I had to ask for napkins, ketchup and have my table cleaned. Service was much better on my second visit. They now offer beer to go in growlers of any of their tap beers.“

“This place has been here a long time, but has just recently become a craft beer haven. There is no better place in the Milwaukee area to get the combination great food and a great beer selection. Steaks ribs the best fish fry in town and one of the best buffalo wings in the city. Founders KBS,DFH,Avery, Bells Hopslam, Ale Asylum and a sample tray option. A secret that has now gotten out“

“My second Wisconsin Woodman’s does a great job of filling in my jones for beers I can’t find in Chicago. Plenty of loose bottles stickered at $9 per build-your-own sixpack. Even the imports are worth checking out, if not for the chance to pick up some cheap-ass generic Baltika brands in a 1.5 liter plastic bottle. And something else I should bring up: the wider variety of cheap mass brews. Sure, we might not care for Genessee Ice, or Hamm’s, or Blatz, whatever, but seeing pallets of these beers stacked in the aisles reminded me how the Chicago market is all tied into the same BMC. Are there no old timers left in Illinois that would want the old and cheap brands, even from our corrupt three tier system?“

“This place was not my favorite. Yeah, there’s a large volume of beer here, but it’s mostly the non-seasonal lineups of a lot of mediocre mid-level microbrewers. Very few limited or seasonal selections here. Little good or rare imports. The singles selection was just a mish-mash of whatever they felt like putting up. It was as if they’d dropped a bunch of six-packs and just put the 4 that made it as singles. The store employees were abominable. Don’t go here, go to Discount Liquor. That place was beer heaven.“

“The liquor department alone is the size of a small grocery store. The beer is perfectly orginized. With almost all of it kept cold. They have a decent selction of single and bombers too. The selection is only matched by Discount Liquor. Plus the prices are almost unbeatable.“

“This is a large grocery store with a medium liquor store in the corner. Mostly macro fare with some Wisconsin micros, but a small amount at that. Go to Woodmans, Three Cellars or stop at my house around the corner - you’ll find a much better selection. As for food, go to Woodmans too, cheaper, better, 24 hours and three times the selection (beer is like 10 times the selection). (Updated). They’ve added a craft beer section with many of the trappists and several bombers plus stuff like Founders, Big Bay, Lake Louie, etc. Their craft beer wall is out in the main store under constant light. They have qa few singles available in the walk in cooler. An upgrade, but I’d still look elsewhere.“

“What better place to buy beer than the supermarket before heading to Dave Matthews Band tailgating at Alpine Valley!“

“An impressive display of open-air coolers full of microbrews. When you stand at one end it looks like those perspective drawings we did in elementary school, the coolers just faded in the distance. Like the Kenosha store, if their whole back wall was dedicated to only US micro beers! It is full of 6ers, bombers, 750’s and singles. Wow. A smaller cooler, about 1/3 size for Euro beers and part of the back cooler is for micro 12’s and cases. Many WI brewers are available. The prefered place to stop in the Oak Creek/Franklin area since 3 Cellars does not open til 3.“

“An OK fallback if I can’t get to my regular stores. Fairly decent selection but prices are a bit above most places and there’s no build your own six pack section.“

“If you are looking for service this isn’t the place. “Rude and tattooed” Huge selection of liquor. Fairly large selections of Beers. Nice range of European beers. Not a lot of singles. Also a good selection in the coolers. Prices are pretty average to the area.“

“Strip mall liquor store with a decent selection of beers. An entire aisle devoted to foreign beers, with a decent selection of Belgians. Decent selection of domestic six packs and sampler packs and many are available in the cooler as well. There are a handful of beers available as singles but no real build your own section. There’s beer around every corner it seems, but some of the six packs they had were obviously sitting around from last year (I picked up New Glarus Yokel and Bells Sparkling Ale). Not the most pleasant store, but overall clean and prices seem on the level with stores in the area. If I were in the area (and I am), I’d rather go to Woodman’s or Three Cellars but will stop in if driving by.“

“I have been a fan of Woodman’s for years. But This was the first time i shopped for beer at the Oak Creek Location. I was very happy with the selection. But what makes it so good was that the singles are in the coolers. Great for picnicing and the like.“

“The beer section at this Woodmans is nearly 3 times the size of the Kenosha store. Very large singles selection with build your six packs and a nice selection of Belgians to boot. The person running the beer section knows his stuff.“

“When I lived in Madison, Woodman’s was a regular stop for beer. The vast selection, excellent prices, refrigerated stock, and clean atmosphere always kept me coming back. I was a bit worried that this store might not measure up, but it (at least initially) exceeds the Woodman’s in Madison on all counts. One of the things that bothered me slightly about the Woodman’s in Madison is that the singles selection was horribly managed... What could have been the best in the state was sadly a few straggler bottles with no organization whatsoever. But, Oak Creek Woodman’s appears to have a good start on singles with a lot of unique and rare beers broken out... I just hope they keep it up. Overall a fantastic place to go for beer, and although they might not have quite the same beer atmosphere or singles selection as Three Cellars down the road, it’s by far, the best place to shop for six packs in Milwaukee.“

“I’d never visited the other Woodman’s in WI before, but this one is in my neighborhood, so I made it a point to stop in as soon as it was clear it was open. It is huge! And has a liquor store-within-the-store to match. I was shocked by the giant six-pack selection of crafts, and pleasantly surprised to find a mix-your-own-6-pack section as well, both of which I thought were unusual for a supermarket. There was a single cashier manning the giant section, so I don’t know if I’d visit anticipating a lot of attention or expertise, but the selection and prices that were below what my local liquor store charges were pretty impressive. Esjaygee was correct - I had not been before and I was NOT disappointed.“

“The newly opened gigantic Woodman’s in Oak Creek has a new gigantic liquor store to go with it. Quite a large selection of beer available, lots of Wisconsin & Midwest micros and an excellent selection of Belgian & Belgian style beers. The cooler is filled with six-packs galore, and plenty of bombers and even a few growlers and there’s a very large selection of sampler packs along the back wall and of course tons of macros. There is a build your own six-pack section for domestic beers that’s a little pricey and a little limited (not all the beers in the store). Not that I should be putting in a plug for the grocery store, but wow - check it out if you’ve never been in one, you won’t be disappointed.“
