“Large place with a patio, old warehouse decor, tons of own beer on tap and some cans to go, flights available, decent food. Place was pleasant until an idiot working there turned up the volume on all TVs to max for a sporting event and I left.“

“There are at least several of these around town. We were by the TPC in North Scottsdale. Monday night, 5pm only 5 of us there and one girl was pouring here own refills(friend of the Bar maid) The Bar maid did the mandatory welcome and get you a Beer, but was not thrilled about any more talk. She wanted to get back to her friend. I got my Hazy draft and Hazy can to go and left fast. They have about 100 Beers on tap and 20 something ready to buy singles to go. Small outdoor seating area.“

“In contrast to the regular location this is more of a classic US strip mall type of place. But a nice one, because you go in and there's a big oval bar, and the place focuses more on lagers and Germanish type food. So it's a different experience entirely from the regular Wren House. Now, I wasn't knocked out by the couple of lagers I tried, but at the same time, the place gets good reports from those who know more than I. So I'll get back for a more proper visit.“

“Self-pour place in DTPHX -- tickers' paradise. But the quality isn't amazing. They have 35 taps, 30 of which are beer. Selection wasn't terribly exciting. Some of the IPAs seemed old, but the bartender assured me nothing lasts more than 2 weeks (were they fresh when put on?). Maybe my experience was not representative. But the taplist just wasn't that interesting. You can tick a lock for almost no money, so it's fantastic in that respect. Worth a look -- I'll definitely revisit next time I'm in town.“

“This place is wasn’t on my radar to visit until I stumbled upon it walking back to the downtown core. Well, it’s damn impressive beer-wise. They had about a dozen taps, many of which are big standard styles, but I found a few of interest. They do flights of 3 x 6 oz pours. All 3 I tried were fantastic: a blood orange IPA, a mega-hopped WC DIPA, and a classic RIS. No ridiculous adjuncts, no fancy stuff, just classic beer styles done very very competently. They also have a full kitchen and lots of pizza, but I didn’t eat here. Bartender was nice but somewhat MIA attentionally. Definitely worth a stop when in DTPHX.“

“Great spot that's primarily a bar, but has another ~150 can/bottles, many of which are only available in 4-packs though. The taps are well-chosen and all available in 5 oz pours -- some of the sexier ones are quite expensive ($7). The bottle/can singles selection is small but had some good stuff, including a few Bottle Logic BA stouts. Service was decent. Another very worth stop in DTPHX.“

“What a place: an absurd amount of taps on one side, a well-curated bottle list on the other. The taplist had tons of rarities, extreme beers, even some imports -- all available in 5 oz pours (or more). Staff are friendly and will do sips as well. The bottle shop side had a shelf of big BA stouts (Bottle Logic, Goose Island BCS, etc.), reasonably priced. This is definitely a destination spot in Phoenix.“

“An absolute gem of a place I can't believe I didn't know about on previous trips to PHX. Well, I learned that they do a crazy Bottle Logic extravaganza every year, so I managed to visit before most of them kicked; there were over 10 BA impie stouts from BL, and many other well-chosen taps, plus meads pours. 4 oz pours available of everything (-$0.50 for happy hour). Extremely friendly, competent service. As Oakes said, I can't imagine my experience is at all representative given the epic taplist, but still. What a place.“

“My experience here... I mean it's a nice little pubby sort of place and the service was very good. I was there for the Bottle Logic event and that was fucking epic, so excellent vibes all round for this place. Not sure what it's like outside of that event but how bad can it be? Sounds like others have had similarly amazing experiences here.“

“You see, I really like this place. The main Wren House is a great little space, a house, and has a neighbourhood vibe, even when there's lots of people from out of town there. Casual, chill, and of course it's also one of the best breweries in Phoenix.“

“Great bar down the street from Arizona Wilderness in a cool area of town. These guys have quite a few good Arizona beers on tap, as well as others from around the U.S. and elsewhere. Flights available, with upcharge for fancier beers on tap, and there are usually a few rare ones worth trying here. Service was great and they have a big outdoor area if the darker pub like atmosphere of the inside doesn't suit you. I didn't eat but menu looked good. Best beer place I checked out on a long layover in Phoenix.“

“Cool outdoor area with a firepit and picnic tables. Pretty decor inside and outside. Food was decent, I had the quesadilla. Service was good, and flights are available. The beer left a little to be desired--I guess I was expected better quality from visiting this place, but they mostly just had a few average beers on tap and none of their really highly rated good stuff. I'd go here a lot if I lived in town I guess but I wouldn't probably return given so many breweries even in the immediate area, and in Phoenix in general. Prices average.“

“Nice location up here, just about 10 mins driving from downtown. Decent selection, but a lot of it is in 6-packs only, so that sucks. They have a mix-and-match section, but that is mostly standard year-round beers and not so many seasonals there. There are some singles in the seasonal / specialty section, so it's worth perusing that aisle. Worth checking out when in Phoenix.“

“Cool spot in downtown Phoenix, close-ish to AZ Wilderness, Angel's Trumpet and Greenwood. Relatively big interior with a pretty large taplist. Flights available, or single 5 oz pours available, priced by the beer. They had plenty of more extreme beers when I went, including a couple double IPAs, 3 imperial stouts, and more. Of the 5 beers I sampled, I was happy with 2; 1 was OK; the other 2 were off-base or just badly conceived. Service was a bit slow but decent enough. Fun spot that I'd return to see how they're doing, but it's not a top spot by any means.“

“Nice spot near the airport in an industrial area, with a pleasant patio in front. They do flights of 5 for $10 plus tax, but the beer list wasn't so interesting, nor was the beer quality anything very special; in fact, I didn't really care for anything on my flight. Very friendly service and a nice place, but the beer quality isn't anything special. Skip.“

“One of the best breweries in Phoenix, rivaling AZ Wilderness IMO. When we visited, they had nearly 20 taps, with tons of heavy hitters: 4 x imperial stouts (at 15.5%!), a barley wine, a WC triple IPA, fruited Berliners, and more. Flights of 4 available, or 5 oz pours of anything. The beer quality was very high, with almost everything being pretty solid. Very friendly, personable and sarcastic (in a nice way) service, tailored to beer geeks. Not too far out of downtown and easily reachable via the freeway system. Top spot in town nowadays. Highly recommended.“

“Well this is pretty much as good as mead places get. It's quite a different feel to their Prescott location -- this not being a dark basement of a country jam shop. It's gorgeously designed, in keeping with their brand, with plenty of both inside and outside seating. Their mead selection is insane: north of 60 meads available, pretty much all available in 1 oz pours for somewhere between $1 (for sessions) and $10 (for their most expensive, $100 bottles) -- what a treat. Service was super friendly and helpful. All in all, a world class place that I hope does well. Mandatory stop and the type of place well worth going out of your way for.“

“Awesome spot, right in downtown Phoenix closer to many other bars and breweries, and it's AZW. They had over a dozen taps when I visited, with flights of 4 for $12, plus $2 upcharges on some more expensive beers. There's a massive patio, with misters and fans, so even in the summer it's pleasant. Order at the counter for drinks; same deal with food and the bring it out. The food was tasty, and they have lots of vegan options. I wasn't actually blown away by any beers on this particular visit, but all beers were solid. Good guest ciders as well. If you're in town, this is a mandatory visit.“

“First stop; near the airport and all. Industrial area. Very small parking area, but plenty of free street parking also available. Not busy on a Saturday afternoon, although it was picking up by the time I left. Mix of outdoor and indoor seating. Outdoor stage and there was a band in early warmups when I left. About a dozen taps, including a few guest taps. Flights available and they will mix the guest beers with their own on the flights which is a good thing. Service was pretty good, although they forgot to put in my pizza order. They did give me half off my beer tab when I asked about status of the food. Beer quality varied quite a bit. They had a coffee cream ale that was pretty nice.“

“A cool bar in downtown Phoenix. A decent sized space, chill and laid back atmosphere. They have about 25 taps, with plenty of local/regional beers. A good stop if you're visiting the area, plenty of good beers to try. No food. This is a convenient stop if you're in the downtown area, also near the Arizona Wilderness location. Worth a stop.“

“Really cool place in downtown Phoenix. Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions, there was quite a line to get into this place, but it was worth it. There is a large outdoor patio as well as some semi-enclosed seating (which is beer hall style, but in COVID times seating is well spaced). It is "cafeteria style" where you get in and get your seat, but then have to get up and order beer and food separately. Beer was awesome, lots of interesting styles - barrel aged saison in apple liquor and French oak barrels, pastry stout with cherries, cacao, RIS with smoked jalapeno peppers, and others such as IIPA. So many delicious beers it was hard to choose! The food was awesome too. Menu is mostly burgers, also some sandwiches and tacos. My grass fed burger was delicious. This is the place to get some unique (often boozy!) styles, good food, but be prepared for a wait as it seems to be pretty popular.“

“Stopped in for dinner and beer outside on a pleasant AZ night. Really liked the food menu and what we had. Enjoyed the tap list with local, regional, national, and international brews. Had 8 beers from that huge range, favorites were Alesmith brown ale and spectacular wit from Belgium. Great beer location. Local favorites we had were a couple of AZ English style ales. Talk about contrarian, that we could even find those, and if you like the style they were done fairly well,“

“Oh, I like this place. I mean, first the beer is AZ Wilderness. Second, it's a lot closer to anywhere I go than Gilbert is. Sit outside, get misted, drink good shit. I mean, what's not to like? Super happy they opened this location. It's close to the airport, for those who have a longerish layover, and yeah, I'll be back pretty much every time I'm in town.“

“Visited on a Sunday afternoon around 2 pm. The beer aisles are pretty well laid out, mostly sorted by style. You can buy individual bottles or cans of anything. Most aren’t cold, which is fairly normal. I found a lot of beers I was interested in and made a couple six packs. Prices were decent, usually about $2 per can or bottle. I can see myself visiting again before we leave the state.“

“Visited for dinner on a Sunday evening around 7:30. Paid parking lot is close by, but starts at $10 for 0-4 hours. They weren’t very busy at this time, which was nice. Our server was helpful and nice. They have a pretty large draft list here with a good variety. Lots of Arizona stuff on draft. Food here is actually really good. I had a Copper Burger with their house made chips and my wife had the quesadilla. Both were great. Prices were fairly normal. It was a nice place to just stumble upon.“

“Visited on a Sunday early afternoon. Normal while foods. The bar is toward the front right. They had a pretty nice draft list, pouring several La Cumbre beers, a Big Bad Baptist variant, a five year old Bourbon County Stout. Servers were both very nice. They offered samples of whatever I wanted to try, which was pretty cool. Pint prices were higher than I would typically expect. Overall a good time though.“

“The downtown Phoenix branch of this suburban brewery is in a heritage building in one of the older parts of DTPHX. It looks gorgeous. The service was pretty good on a Friday, as there were a few people scattered about. Lots of house beers on tap, and most of them were pretty good. Didn't know this place existed; ended up here by accident basically. But all happy.“

“It's kinda strange having one entry for an airport but at least it's not a bunch of additions for average/ overpriced places. This is for Humble Pie across from gate C4. “This is a fun, if noisy, place to visit in downtown Phoenix. You may want to visit on a week night as it is very popular and can get hopping during the weekend. They offer lots of beers from the west end of the country, as well as a couple imports and a few from east of the Mississippi. Their food is quite tasty, and goes well with their six-glass flights. You'll want to trumpet this joint's virtues to your beer-loving friends.“

“In an nondescript strip mall in north central Phoenix, this is an unassuming place. It's not that big, but it's 100% dedicated to good beer with about 15 growler fill taps and a sturdy lineup of regional craft offerings and quality imports. They have a somewhat limited selection of singles to choose from, but my wife and I still walked away with 12 new (to us) beers ... and we could've picked more, but didn't have time in Phoenix to finish them! The owner was super nice and wanted to give us tastes of every single growler offering! I'll be back next time I'm in town to visit family!“
