“Quick stop in July 2023. Smallish brewpub with around 6 kegs and one cask of their own beers. Friendly, chatty atmosphere and good beer.“

“A nice pleasant bar to go if you like artisanal beers. Also they have a tiny nano brewery on which produce their own "Belgian style" ale. They are also the official tap for Birrificio Artigiano. They have 6 taps all Italian craft beers and lots of hard to find ticks in the fridges, great for beer nerds. The owners are great. Every day as soon as it is open it's full of people. It is basically the most famous pub in Pisa and you'll understand why. Very nice food as well and the staffs are so nice.“

“Nice little beershop in the center of the city with some taps rotating. Has a fridge with some decent bottles, and some shelves with italian and international ones. Not the widest selection, but you can find some interesting beers. They offered a chance to have a taster of the Xyauyù Kioke, which was an absolute experience.“

“Excellent paninoteca with great paninis and selection of Italian micros. Very popular with locals so getting a sit might be not so easy. However you can easily grab a beer, panini and get out on the embankment to have it with a nice view over the river. As confirmed by the owners this is not a brewpub, they don't own any outside brewery as well. Though a very good place to go.“

“This is certainly not a brewpub! It is a restaurant allegdely famous for its paninis. Beer wise there is six taps, four of which has Italian micros. The quality wasn't that high though. Some bottles in the fridge. Fair prices, ok service“

“6 taps and one cask, all from Il Piccolo Birrificio Artigianale. Good beers but nothing out of this world. Selection wise this place has something to wish for. The bartender was super friendly and enthusiastic and the free bruschettas was excellent. Prices are very decent. If this place had a wider selection, it would be the bomb“

“Nestled in the center of Pisa, this is the exclusive pub for nearby Birrificio Artigiano. With a cozy college pub atmosphere and windowed front, it's a fun place to take a break and enjoy a rare Italian-made craft beer. We had pints of two of their six offerings, both average to good. The bar had an array of varied bruschetta for free during the early-by-European standard happy hour (they don't even open until 7pm). Definitely worth a stop for the traveling beer geek.“

“Nice bottle shop/bar in central Pisa. Contacted them via Messenger and had a very helpful conversation with Francesco with whom I sorted out an order of 6 bottles from new to me Italian breweries which he put to one side ready for my wife to then collect when she was in Pisa last week. She loved the place when she then collected them for me!“

“Visited the 4th May 2016 - Good beer place is the centre of the city. Very nice beer selection, huge Italian beer selection with also some nice foreign beers. Price is ok and service is smart and friendly. There are some taps if you want to have a drink. Beers on tap are quiet cheap. A nice place to visit if you are in the area.“

“Decent beer shop located in central Pisa. Selection of Italian beers was nice, but after the other reviews and from other shops I visited I had expected a bit more, but still nice enough to keep you busy for a while. International selection is good too, but nothing too exciting there. On my visit they unfortunatly did not have any italian beers on tap. Tap list consisted of mostly belgian beers, a german micro + 1-2 others. Big plus: very nice and friendly service. Overall nice place if you are in Pisa, but I wouldnt make a detour for it..“

“Really nice beershop, with the possibity to have a drink there... The shop is held by two young and passionate guys and there is a large choice of beers from Italy and everywhere else in the world. There is also a room in the background where you can take a drink while reading some books or magazines about beers...“

“Nice place in central Pisa. Very nice atmosphere and interior. On taps beers made by Birrificio Artigiano. I wasn’t a big fan of them, but overall it was ok. For me lacking a good IPA :)“

“Not really nice place for beer geeks. Looks like a kebab place. Just 1 or 2 beers on tap which might be interesting. The service was quite rude not letting me sit at the table because I didn’t order food. It’s not a fancy restaurant! Not recommended for beer geeks.“

“"Orzobruno" is the tap house of Bientina’s Birrificio Artigiano; the beers are all quite good, and the selection has a small rotation during the year. Food is splendid and the atmosphere makes it one of the warmest pubs in Tuscany.“

“Nice little cafè in the south area, called "Kinzica", VoltaPagina offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks during the day; the evening it is not rare to find readings of poetry or acoustic live music. Some books available for the public in the shelves near the entrance explain the "letterario" part of the name; selection of beer is not very big but has some truly interesting bottles from Italian micros. In any case, a truly nice address for the whole day.“

“Famous in town for the huge panini (a full meal), "Il Mediceo" has also three fridges packed of Belgian classics and Italian craft ales; the owner Daniele is a beer-lover and knows his selection very well; in the weekend reservation is recommended as it is very popular among students and locals.“

“Orzo Bruno serves the fine ales of the Tuscan Birrificio Artigiano of Bientina, near Pisa; the bar has a warm and lovely atmosphere and is located in the centre of town, in a street just behind Borgo Stretto. Food and beer are excellent - low priced, too - and as a brewpub might be, this is the best I can imagine: I am no more a true "beer hunter", I confess, hence this is sure my favourite pub in Italy. The guys of Orzo Bruno have built something truly special: you are given my warm recommendation.“

“Easily the best(only?) place to drink beer in the hideous tourist trap that is Pisa. The beers represent a range of styles (Belgian, German etc) and are all pretty tasty. The couple that run the place are very enthusiastic and welcome opnions on their beer. They are friends with the people from Hopback. The food is pretty good too.The beer is far cheaper than the crap sold in the rip-off joints near the Tower where they tend to add on huge service charges.Note the limited opening times.“

“Some of the best beers in Italy; I tried five and rated all of them highly. The food menu is very limited although there are free snacks on the bar which, however, disappear within an hour of opening time. A students’ pub, with all that entails but the beer makes up for the noise. It’s a pity they don’t open lunchtime or afternoons. I had travelled to Pisa fro Firenze and had to leave earlier than I would have wished to get a train back. I should have thought also that in a city well populated by tourists they would do good daytime trade. After all, when you’ve seen one leaning tower, you’ve seen them all.“

“Very nice pub on the Lungarno, you may need to reserve a table if you go there for dinner because it’s very popular. The fridges are awesome and full of Belgian specialities and some Italian micros, food is nice, they serve mainly sandwiches but with good ingredients.“

“Very nice pub in the heart of Pisa, near the Borgo Stretto: they’re the only place to serve craft beers from Il Birrificio Artigiano in Bientina (PI). The beers are in fact very good, food is delicious, especially sandwiches and piadina, but there is a big selection of various food. My favourite pub in town.“

“went to this place twice as it’s the only decent beer place on Ratebeer in Pisa and it was recommended by an Italian friend. It was packed on a Friday night and on a Sunday night. The beers were great and great value at only 4 Euros a half litre. Full of local Italians :-) The food looked great but I didn’t get a chance to try it :-(“

“Just off the main drag of Borgo Stretto in a pleasant alley. The doors open at 7pm and on a Saturday night was packed within minutes. A great mix of locals and students enjoying well crafted beers. There is six house brews from Il Birrificio Artigiano available and all solid brews. I didnt order food off the menu as they served bread and dips on entry which kept everyone happy, myself included. The beers were ridicously cheap even by Italian standards although it was happy hour as well. Unfortantely I couldnt stay long as I had to get back to Florence the same night but definitely get here if you can fit it into the schedule. Great value!“

“This small family operation is the taproom for the Il Birrificio Artigiano brewery and is ideally located in the center of Pisa. Everything they do here is homemade, bio, fair trade, etc. The testaroli al pesto I had was delicious (homemade pesto can’t be less than very good, imho) and the rest of menu filled with paninis and insalatas looked good. The beers I had here were all in good condition, unfiltered, unpasteurized, served at decent tasting temperatures (which is a rarity during the Italian summer) and were all tasty. None of them stood out to me as being world-class, but offering solid artisanal beers to Tuscans is already a huge step away from the ordinary. Prices for beer go up at 8:30 even though they open at 7. If you happen to be in Pisa, this is most likely your number one beer stop.“
