“The largest taproom in town, easy walk from Twin City. Service was disinterested. They had 15 on tap, so I wasn't able to do them all, but the 6 I had were mostly good. I thought they might have the best quality all round of the three breweries in town. I didn't eat.“

“I'd say that of the three breweries in Port Alberni, Dog Mountain delivered the coziest brewery experience. Staff engaged, friendly. Beers are hit and miss but there's a good variety. I didn't eat here. Single cans available to go.“

“I'd say a fairly standard tap room. The beers are okay, but they have a solid kitchen. Above average brewery food for sure, and that might understate it. In Port Alberni, eat here. The beers aren't bad, there's a few interesting selections. Service was fine. You can buy single cans to go.“

“A modest bottle shop with a good selection from around the island, but really no better or worse than the other bottle shops in town. Maybe a bit closer to main drive and parking is ample, but that's a common thing in Port Alberni.“

“Downstairs is a clean but cramped little tasting room but the real gem is their big patio that makes the place rather kickass, probably the best patio in Port Alberni. Friendly service but many of their beers on tap were simply mediocre in these early days. Nonetheless it's nice to see a growing craft beer scene in town.“

“2019-08-16. Small bright space with long tables and a small patio. Order at the bar. Friendly server. 10 taps, including 2-3 guest taps today. We shared a tasting flight and a pizza. Beers were generally decent with one exception. Worth a stop if you are in the area. The Maui Wowee pizza was amazing. Great crust and delicious mix of prosciutto, pineapple and a healthy dose of buffalo mozzarella. Damn! “

“Set in one of Port Alberni's town centres this is a hip little place with around 8 beers on tap. Growler fills are easy and beers seem good so far. Clean and bright with plenty of street views. Food is excellent with some of the best pizzas for miles around. A worthwhile stop, feels very trendy compared to other places in town.“

“Surprised to find such a good selection in Port Alberni. If you are driving through here (en route to Tofino or whatever) and you need beer, this is a good place to stock up.“

“Being stranded in Port Alberni after the car died, I needed something tasty. With no local breweries, I wasn’t sure what I would find. Liquor Depot was a pleasant surprise, with lots of craft beer, craft cider. Not just the usual suspects with Tofino thrown in - they have a pretty good selection including a number of recent releases. Coming from Vancouver, I liked the prices, too.“
