“A few minutes further north from the town centre, the tasting room is located in Old Townsite. Small place, with little seating despite ample room for it. They had their regular lineup of 6 beers, plus 3-4 seasonals on tap, plus a few guests. Flights of 4 available for $8, or single tasters for $2.50, a bit steep for a place this far removed. Friendly service. If you’re ever in Powell River, it’s certainly worth a visit.“

“While every place in town carries multiple Townsite handles, Coastal Cookery has many, plus a couple of others (Brassneck on our visit). It’s got a nice view despite being set back from the water. Service was fine. They use those nice Townsite goblets and have a variety of happy hours. Nice stop, especially if the brewery has already closed for the day or if you need food with your Townsite.“

“Small tap room in an old brick building. It has a nice look, though there’s hardly anywhere to sit. If it was ever busy in here, forget it. The arcade game is free. They offered up a basic selection of beers on my visit - the brewery has a lot of specialty beers but none where there when I was, which was disappointing. Every Thursday at 3pm they tap a cask. The service was friendly. Great glassware. The growler station is old school, without any sort of counterfiller, which is something you don’t see very often anymore, and a little disappointing. It puts the beer at greater risk for anybody who isn’t from Powtown and wants to get the beer home.“
