62 /100 Witty’s Liquors (Beer Store) 870 SAINT GEORGES AVENUE Not a bad stop. Had some unusual things that I bought. If you're in the area. |
72 /100 1435 MAIN STREET Visited Jan '18. Smallish brewery tasting room with a glass wall open to the brewery and some extra seating in there (that was definitely needed when we visited). Fairly crowded and the service was only okay, but that may have been due to volume of people. Good # of taps available in tasters and full pours. Solid quality level to the beers as well. Worth a visit for sure. |
80 /100 1435 MAIN STREET ok i really liked here. Small square room that could do with more seating, brewery through glass wall. that had a big table and looked like some privacy party going on day i was there. the beer was decent selection and range though id have preferred a 2nd stout.
12 taps and 1 can... they did samplers which were great, and all told i was pretty impressed with the quality, and condition. also love the fact by law they need show you the brewery, before they can serve you a beer. |
78 /100 1435 MAIN STREET Nice modern facility store front on Main Street in Rahway. Parking garage across street is $1.25 for two hours. More time than you will need. Currently seven beers on tap. |
76 /100 1435 MAIN STREET Great new brewery in Rahway just opened about 1 1/2 months ago. Stopped by a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed the place. I got a great tour, pictures on the brew-deck, and good beers and conversation to follow. The staff/family owners were great...especially Tim, Salena, and Cory (thanks guys!). The décor is pretty nice as well as the whole high-ceilinged, storefront, taproom space. There were 7 beers on tap (not bad at all for being opened so recently). the Hoppy Kolsch was by far my favorite beer...really great...so much so I bought a 32 oz growler of it only to leave it in my car that night which went down to 7 deg...next morning I didn’t notice it had exploded on the floor in the back...lunchtime when things warmed up I sure did! What a mess...cars still smells like hops 2 weeks later (wait...is that a bad thing? lol!). Other beers of note were the Spanktown IPA, the Double IPA, the Pale Ale, and the Imperial Oatmeal Stout. I recommend a visit here soon...I think this place will do well (and note that it’s not far from the GSP for those warm weather shore trips!). |
62 /100 Witty’s Liquors (Beer Store) 870 SAINT GEORGES AVENUE Stopped in while on business. They had a decent selection of locals and Belgians but wish they broke up their six packs. Friendly staff when asked questions. Didn’t eat at deli. Somewhat disorganized. |
72 /100 Witty’s Liquors (Beer Store) 870 SAINT GEORGES AVENUE Stopped in here while in the area for work via a recommendation from illnismitty. Large store with most selections available both in the cooler or at shelf temp. Lots of North East locals to select from with some national and Belgians. The staff was friendly and helpful. Wish they would break up sixers! I did not eat at the deli on this trip but it looked very inviting. |
68 /100 Witty’s Liquors (Beer Store) 870 SAINT GEORGES AVENUE There is a decent deli/ sub sub inside this liquor store if you need to get lunch. Nothing rare here, but the selection is pretty solid if you are in the area and do not want to make the trip over to Somerville Super Saver. Typical liquor store atmosphere. They also do not break sixers...boooo! Moderate to thin selection of Belgians (but good choices) and very little european beers. But here is a highlight of micros that you can get, Unibroue, Victory, Stone, Climax, Weyerbacher, Brooklyn, Three Floyds, and so on. |
