| 88 /100 HAVERSMOSEVEJ 21 “A short detour from the main highway E45 and absolutely worth a stop. This winery was on our way to Meny in Bjerringbro. Two beer geeks who also appreciate good Ice Cider/Ice Perry! The store was packed with fruit wines, ciders and ice Ciders. Their whole range was available. Free tasters were offered by the friendly owner Jens Skovgaard and a young knowledgeable woman gave us a mini tour showing their production facilities. If I remember right, here name was Astrid. I have visited many breweries and it was interesting to see a winery too. Their barrels are also sought after by local breweries for aging beer. An example is Agile Pomme Fatale. Their web site provides information about tastings with or without gourmet dishes. Adjacent to the store there is a big dining room for groups. Outside there is a barbeque area with seating inside big wooden barrels or along a table made from a gigantic spruce trunk. I purchased Pyrus Danica (2016) and Malus Danica (2015) both 37,5 cl. Price? Not cheap but this is quality! (540 DKK) My mate chose a fruit wine and some local cheese. In all, this visit was a pleasant surprise out in the Danish countryside. Shop packed with mostly own products mostly fruitwines and spirits and food-delicatesses. But the most important subject are the iceciders/perries. They have just presented 3 new versions all available in 10, 20 and 50 cl bottles. Also a couple of ordinary ciders usually present. Very high quality.“ |

About 12 taps, mostly macroes, Thor, some english beers, but also Nordenfjords IPA and Randers Tap Dancing Hippo. 2 fridges with bottled beer with a decent selection of danish, norwigian, english beers. Nice service, and good prices.“ |

As a subscriber, you are offered a seasonal box four times a year that may be ordered or declined as you prefer (usually 8 different beers, three of each). Any beers ordered together with the box receive a 10% discount. Their prices are very fair, even without the discount. In fact, they are probably the best I have seen. I have never seen Westvleteren 12 this cheap anywhere else. Nearly all of their beers are of very high quality, but St. Feuillien are missing for some reason. The service can be a bit slow, however, but as far as I know, this shop is run by two guys in their spare time.“ |

Not much going on, bit you can kill an hour or two here.“ |

Only mainstream tap beers but they do have one from Randers Bryghus (Vinter which is an alias to Raasted Schwartz!). Deasent bottle selection with many easy to come by beers (in Denmark that is). Some nice english stuf such as Samuel Smith Fullers and Yuong. A few Randers beers. Some times I find one I havent rated. last time was Huber Premium Beer.
Interesting thing about this place is that it is one of the bars connected to Thors Pipeline which is draughtbeer in huge scale from tank underground supporting 5-6 bars close by.
The only place in Randers to get Microtap (Indslev/Ugly duck 3 taps)) is Blichers Cafe close by.“ |
