Restaurant was full but the locals gave us the stam-tisch.
Good food and good beers.

The place was packed with the local fire brigade and half the restaurant was booked for a 80th birthday.
We had too sit out-doors.

Very busy / lively with locals seated both inside and at the tables at the front of the building ; since this brewpub is sited on a fairly busy main road for the area the latter did not appeal. Just the one draught beer, quality decent, and this place is worth a visit and is less than a 10 minute walk from the train station. Train Service to and from Bamberg is hourly, so this must be taken into account when timing drinking up & paying.“ |

This small place wins the Creepy Bar award in our 2017 Germany Beer Trip (and the night before we were drinking in front of proudly presented license certificate from the jolly ol' days of the 3rd Reich, right?). Small room in a godforsaken village. I was the only woman in the room, we certainly looked, well, not from around and the staring was quite blatant. Had 2 beers, but I guess only one is brewed there and we'll probably never know what the other one was. Both weren't in optimal condition. Old curmudgeon mentioned by 3fourth was still serving. Would repeat this unheimlich experience any day though.“ |
| 60 /100 HAUPTSTRASSE 38 “Small gasthof in a big building on the main street through Reckendorf. Old curmudgeon serving beer. One beer on tap, the Ur-Trunk, seemed to not be in great shape. Watery, grainy, apple-y and simple with no drinkability. Quick short glasses and we went elsewhere.“ |

In a quite a large tap-room with a low ceiling and some dark wood on the walls one rural house beer is served. Bottles available. Worth a visit, can be easily combined with a visit to the Schlossbräu nearby.“ |
