“Located in the old Silver Peak, then Huntsman, Brewery. They opened this location in July 2023. It looks similar to what it did when it was Silver Peak. Except they fixed the biggest complaint I had, they got rid of the poker machines that were in the bar top..... I didn't try the food, just by chance drove by on Sunday night 15 minutes before they closed. The beers on tap are brewed at that location. I had the IPA and it was solid.“

“What a cool vibrant feel to this brewery in Midtown Reno. Great beer selection with a good variety and food as well. Definitely recommended if you are in the Midtown Reno area.“

“Interior is industrial but not coarse, definitely itely has a canine theme. Seating is plentiful and apparently all indoor. Thry have a variety of seating to satisfy nearly all bottoms. Servers are well-trained, both efficient and welcoming. Music is not too loud. A must if you live in the Reno-Sparks area.“

“This gets my vote for best tasting room in the immediate area. They had a whopping 22 beers on tap. Flights of 4 available for $8 after tax, which they don't normally do on the weekends, but the bartender was nice enough to do them for me anyway. Beer quality is decent; nothing overly complex or notable, but many were competent. Expansive, comfy interior, and good service. Worth a stop when in Reno, but it's still nothing all that special.“

“Right next to The Depot and Lead Dog, we visited on a Saturday evening when there was live music playing. They only do session meads, so there's a low ceiling to how good these meads can be. Flights of 4 for $13. They were perhaps a tad better than expected, but I still wasn't too enthralled by them. Friendly, informative service. This wasn't too interesting a stop for me.“

“Right across the street from Record Street and close to a couple other spots, this is a beautiful tasting room. Rather ambitious taplist, with flights of 4 available for $10. Unfortunately, they don't really have any clue what they're doing brewing-wise; I didn't care for any of the beers I tried, especially the IPAs, which were totally off-the-mark. Friendly service. Amateur brewery.“

“Great place to finish our beer tour for the day, right on the main Midtown strip. Fairly sizeable interior, with lots of comfy seating areas and a spiffily done up interior. Over a dozen beers, with custom flights available. Beer selection included some ambitious styles, including a IIPA, IIIPA and barley wine. Beer quality ran the gamut -- some excellent, some needing plenty of work. Service was over-the-top friendly and excitable. We lived our visit here despite the variable beer quality. Worth a visit when in Reno.“

“We visited on a Friday evening and there was a 30-minute wait to get in. It's a beautiful spot, quite expansive, with separate sections, and decked out like a Belgian pub might be. Once seated, we grabbed a flight of 6 of their beers ($12 after tax, a screaming good deal). I don't know how they're so highly rated though. I enjoyed their top-rated saison and their west coast double IPA was solid, but the rest were all misses, especially their crappy plum lambic (how is that sweet vinegary mess rated high on here?!) and their estery tripel. Very friendly but rather slow service. I wouldn't prioritize a visit here.“

“Right on the water in a beautiful setting in downtown Reno, this is a really cool spot. They have a big screen with their taplist, which is pretty varied between NV beers and other stuff from CA and beyond in the US. 5 oz pours of everything available. Not sure about their keg practices, but I have a suspicion they have some old kegs, as both (west coast) IPAs I tried were very tired and washed out (Revision doesn't do hoppy beers like that!). The beer selection would be good if the kegs were in good shape. All in all, great spot, just not so sure about the execution.“

“Suburban shopping mall location with tons of parking. They had a large number of their beers on tap and also many singles in a cooler available to go. Very worthwhile stop.“

“Pretty much like any other Total Wine, except that it is in Nevada and offer a ton of local beers available as singles. They are sitting on a warm shelf, which for modern hazy ipas is far from ideal. Still worth a stop to acuire those hard to find Nevada tics.“

“This is a new place, opened about a year ago during the pandemic, and quite the find. They have successfully created a casual lounging environment that is quite different from the typical Reno bar. With 32 taps focused on local breweries and with a wide range of styles, you are guaranteed fresh and new beers. As a bonus the sell some single cans to go. As a final plus, the lady tending bar knew her stuff and was super friendly.“

“Came in looking for Nevada beer singles and found about 10. They had many more in 4 or 6 packs. A bit disappointing. Across the street was a new place, Local Beer Works, with 30 Taps, many of which were Nevada beers on tap, plus a nice selection of Nevada beers available to take out as singles. Combined, they killed it!“

“Stopped in Friday night after work and place was full. Nice selection with emphasis on local and regional brews. They do 4,8,16 oz drafts and 32 oz canned to go. The 8 oz pours are a great deal and a way to try more local brews which were of variable quality. Staff were great, excellent beer stop. No food.“

“Decent place to load up on local stuff and California beers. Not really a lot of selection in terms of styles - mostly just an IPA store it seems. Perhaps that's the way the craft beer world is going in general. Prices OK“

“Dodgy brewpub in downtown Reno complete with the typical VLTs on the bar table - doesn't leave a lot of room for your beer, especially if you get a flight. Flights are available. Service was pretty bad late on a Monday. Beer almost unanimously sucked. Definitely a skip if you're short on time.“

“Nice brewery with some decent beers. Good food as well. Flights are available. Beers are mostly decent, with a focus on Belgian styles. Nice tripel. Good service and prices are good for the beer. Among the better breweries I've been to in Reno. Cool looking place inside.“

“I got a strange vibe here. Beer selection is entirely within a large walk-in cooler. OK Sounds like a good idea. Poor lighting inside though. Beer selection OK but not stellar. Everything seemed overpriced, beer and especially the spirits. Service was horrible. Cashier was talking on phone while attending to other customers while trying to cash me out. I will not be back.“

“Small taproom and brewery east of downtown Reno. Lots of wood. Visual and aromatic. The bar is small but there is plenty of seating in various high top configurations. Large selection of very unique barrel aged and sours. Lot of creative items. Some better than others. Small selection of snacks offered.“

“Quickly becoming my favorite local brewer. Brew list is tilted toward IPAs but is continually evolving. Excellent service and pricing (esp. 4 packs). Good to see them distributing to local places. Hope to see more Lead Dog stuff in stores soon. They often have a food truck outside too.“

“Touted as a beer garden and community space right along the river in downtown. Big open turf lawns, games. Bars (2) and tables are in shipping containers. There's giant jenga, bocce ball, etc. Kid and dog friendly. Decent beer selection for only having about 10 at a time, but unfortunately I don't trust the age on them as the only two hoppy beers I;ve had were old. Not a beer geek place, but a nice spot to hang out.“

“Went to this old NW bar & grill for a Wednesday trivia night, which was fun. Small but quality selection of local and regional beers (though the Red Rocket I had on tap was not fresh). $5 pints and $6 22’s from the taps. They let you sample before ordering, which is rare for this type of place. Decent pub food menu. Had a pretty nice burger special (spicy thai). Would go back for sure.“

“My first visit to a Total Wine… very impressive. As soon as I walked through the front door I easily identified the location of the craft beer and took a few minutes walking up and down the aisle getting a few for what was where and how prices were. Obviously the selection is incredible. Tons of locals and regionals, as well as some of the bigger broadly distributed offerings. I focused on the locals and got a few bottles from Brasserie Saint James (each was $2-3 cheaper here than at the local grocer), as well as a several other local brewers. Prices were much better on bombers & 750’s than the singles… build your own six pack could get pricey. I could have spent a long time here, and would have loved to, but it was time to head north. I’d definitely stop here again next time passing through Reno.“

“Brought the family in for dinner on the last night of our vacation, Great Basin had a nice restaurant layout and was very family friendly. Kid’s menu, crayons, high chairs, and plenty of other families around. Nice interior and bar area, lots of outdoor seating. The food was good and priced fair, beer options were plenty; GB had 6 flagship beers and 12 seasonal/special beers, plus a few guest taps. I did the sampler thing which was unlimited in number, a $1.50 per 4oz pour. A couple of the beers were very good, most were good, and only a couple were lackluster. Service was very good. Overall this checks off all the boxes for me in a beer stop… good beer and family friendly at a good value.“

“I apologize in advance, as this place, and every branch of it, seems to have a different name. The brewery itself is currently called Mill St Still & Brew. Why? You got me! Also if you look on their website the beer is under a 3rd name. That aside, this building in the east of downtown crap part of Reno is really a diamond in the rough. Small parking lot and street parking available. Attractive brick building that’s an even better looking brick and wood combo on the inside. Lots of space, big bar, Huge outdoor area with tanks. Really really nice space. Only a few beers on so far ($2 5 oz.) and vodka, that will hopefully expand as time goes by. I’d get 4 of the 5 again, so it seems the quality is legit right out of the gate!“

“Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. Large open bar with plenty of seating inside and out. Friendly service. Probably the largest tap selection in town. Something for everyone. “A nice addition to the south of downtown (Midtown). No food, but food places on either side or easy walking distance that you can bring in. Small space with a bar and a few tables. 30-ish rotating taps of beer, cider and kumbucha, with a heavier local/regional lean to them. Good pint prices...tasters are a flat 2.50/4 for 10/6 for 12.50 - a good deal if you’re getting fancy beer, not so much if you’re drinking lighter or cheaper beers/styles. Knowledgable and super friendly staff.“

“So far operating as a distillery that happens to have made one beer (3 versions of a barreled smoked stout), with more to come in the near future. The beer was ok. I think as they expand their brewing capabilities the possibilities will be encouraging as they will be barreling in their own very good spirit barrels. The oated bourbon and wheat whiskey will be particularly nice to age beers in. Spartan as far as the look, with a tiny tasting room up front, with a small standing bar and couch & table in the back, which are exposed to the distilling/brewing equipment and barrels.“

“a nice addition to midtown Reno (south of downtown). big open bar with a couple coolers of songles and bombers behind. 36 taps...not a lot of crazy stuff so far but a decent size of good solid selections. prices are fair. best part is one of THE best pizza/wing places is next door, and they share the large outdoor picnic table seating area. Gotta doc the value a couple points as their prices have climbed enough for me to question how much I want to go there. $9 8 oz pours of special beers that’d be $7-8 for a 10 oz pour at Craft. $24 for a 4-pack that should be at least $6 less. Selection up a point. Overall down a point or so.“

“On a quick visit to Reno en route to points south, we chose to visit here for dinner and a couple beers. In a standard, suburban American setting, it has a great layout with a big bar and outdoor seating. They offered an above average array of beers, and we sampled many -- all very good. Split a burger , which was delish. Super friendly staff, beer to go. Top tier brewpub! Brewery #748.“
