78 /100 3156 ROUTE 9 SOUTH Spacious taproom that offers about 10 different draft brews ranging from wheat beers to dark stouts. Also offers cans to order at bar. Four-packs of cans and growlers available to go. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable of their beer offerings. Owner is usually there , as well and will answer questions about the beer and brewery. Quality of brews is average to outstanding. Worth checking out when in the area. No food on site but you can bring your own or order from local restaurants and have it delivered. |
66 /100 3156 ROUTE 9 SOUTH Strip mall brewery type front. I wasn't expecting much for some reason and was a pleasantly pleased with the # of beers on tap, the styles and selections. Average to slightly above average. |
56 /100 3156 ROUTE 9 SOUTH We came here on 10.8.2018. Located around 5 miles from the Cape May Brewing company, this is a mich smaller place. Long bar with a small outside area. On the way outside you are passing through the brewery, which looked a bit grubby. We tasted two whit beers. They were ‘ok’. |
70 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD We came here on 10.8.2018. The tap room is located close to the small Cape May airport. They moved the brewery a few miles away and left the sour beer fermentation in this location. Spacious outside area and a merchandising shop (great T-shirts!!) are attached. The beers - 15 on tap - are ‘ok’. I am not a big fan of the flagship IPA. The watermelon White Beer was interesting. Overall the best brewery in this area. |
78 /100 Joe Canal’s Discount Liquor Outlet- Rio Grande (Beer Store) 1613 ROUTE 47 SOUTH Good place for a larger shopping. Wide selection of cold booze reasonably priced. If you planning a party, give them a visit. |
66 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD Based on two visits, it appears that the service is often under staffed but that the beers are worth the wait. No food but there's a taco shop next door. Wi-fi available. Really poor root beer, although this may be the fault of the server who had to mix it. |
82 /100 3156 ROUTE 9 SOUTH Great little brewery. |
78 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD Solid place, lots of good beer, no food, enough variety to keep you entertained, will go back again, |
82 /100 3156 ROUTE 9 SOUTH Impressive brewery opened very recently near Cape May in Rio Grande. Also impressive was the beer list with "15-16" beers already when I visited last weekend. Nice, clean, open taproom in a storefront location on Rt.9. Nicely but sparsely appointed (which is fine...works well) and plenty of seating at the bar and tables. There are some shore related decorations...but again...lightly decorated. The beers were mostly very good...great hoppy offerings as well as a variety of other choices. My favorites included the 7MIPA (session), 7 Suns Double IPA, Knee High Mosaic APA, and the Neck High Nelson Sauvin APA. Also of note were the Beach Bubbles Belgium wit, the Trippel 7 (tripel at 9%), and the I Saw Red saison. Not only were the beers very good and plentiful...but the owner and staff were great to talk to. I expect 7 Mile to do well...especially next year during their first full tourist season. |
78 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD Liked this place. Beers are good and service is friendly. Lots of stuff on tap and a surprising amount available to go in bottles. Flights are an option which is nice. |
72 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD Fun Place with a good local crowd, definitely a Beer Hall feel to it. Beers were solid, not great. Service was excellent on a busy, rainy afternoon in January. Pleant of Swag....worth a stop if you are here as they are the only brewery in town. |
80 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD Cool little brewery in Joisey! System in Jersey is a bit different than what i,m used too, the tokens for the 4oz pours and such, no biggy. Quaint "tour" that is pretty much a walk from the bar into the brewery where a employee rattles off the history of the brewery, no tasters but did receive a token for a free beer. Pleasent staff and lots of friendly locals and non locals to enjoy the beers with. Clean pissery also.Lookin forward to the new, bigger brewery! Good time! Definately worth stopping in if your near Cape May. |
48 /100 Joe Canal’s Discount Liquor Outlet- Rio Grande (Beer Store) 1613 ROUTE 47 SOUTH Aucun service, relativement bonne sélection de bière, mais impossible lors de mon passage de trouver des bières locales... |
72 /100 Joe Canal’s Discount Liquor Outlet- Rio Grande (Beer Store) 1613 ROUTE 47 SOUTH Warehouse feel, beer, wine, booze, cheese and snacks. Decent selection with some neshaminy Leon, lost abbey, north coast brandy old stock, solid |
80 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD Light industrial area with parking near the airport. Open garage feel with a dozen or so taps all house beers. Each beer was average to above average, growlers to go, tasters, nice to have near the beach |
88 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD Great tasting room and a Awesome selection of their Brews. You can bring in outside food to have while your sampling. |
80 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD Nice little tasting room, that more like a bar with a good selection of their beers. |
82 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD Awesome new place here! Easy to get to and some great brews. Any where from 8-12 beers on tap and rootbeer also. Nice swag for sale and growler to go. The staff is very knoledgable and friendly also. Sample or pints at the bar, and a nice little tour of the brewhouse. Check this place out if your in the area! |
76 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD Nice place. The people are fantastic. Really nice. The brews are good but not great. IPA is my favorite. Lighter than most IPA’s but tasty. |
74 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD Solid beer destination if youre nearby. Wonderful atmosphere inside the tasting room - awesome Persian rugs, cheers playing on loop on the big screen and great music selection. Friendly staff, tours every hour on the half hour and tasters of all available beers. |
84 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD Since we have a house in Cape May I have stopped in here quite a few times now, figure its time for a review. It has a very industrial feel to it, mostly from being in an out building at the local airport. Once you get inside it has a nice ambiance to it, very welcoming. Service has been good. They know their beer and can answer your questions about them. No food to speak of so eat before or after. Selection is tough to grade. Sometimes they have 10+ beers on, other times only 5-6. No matter what they will have a nice variety of beer to choose from, nearly all of which will be 7% and under. Value is quite good, you can get a sampler for $5 or a pint for $5. Overall they are making some of the best beer in south Jersey, maybe the best. Definitely worth a stop if you are in town. |
74 /100 Joe Canal’s Discount Liquor Outlet- Rio Grande (Beer Store) 1613 ROUTE 47 SOUTH Stopped in here earlier today while visiting some family close by. Larger than I expected it to be from outside appearances. Lots of people milling about all over the store buying all kinds of booze. Service was good, I was approached multiple times to ask if I needed assistance, and they seemed to know their beer. Quality was pretty high. They had a wide array of booze and lots of beers from all over the country. Selection was as expected, quite good. I was able to pick up some B. Nektar mead’s that I hadn’t seen anywhere else and a Lost Abbey Red Poppy for about $10 less than anywhere else I had been recently. Now that my mom has moved into the area I see this place becoming my go to bottle shop when I visit her. The selection is good and the prices are quite good compared to what I am used to. I look forward to visiting this place in the future and seeing what I can find. |
88 /100 1288 HORNET ROAD I really enoyed this place. Visited the Saturday before Easter...great weather...we drank outside at the picnic tables. This is a relatively new startup less than about two years old that has already expanded their equipmemt and capacity after winning best IPA in the 2012 AC Beerfest. It’s run by a father and son and son’s friend. The beer is really good. Had the regular IPA along with a Blonde Ale, a Honey Porter, and a Sweet Stout. Unfortunately they were out of the CIPA (double IPA) that won at the AC festival. There is a local business that was selling homemade empandas while we were there...nice touch. We did the short tour and enjoyed the conversation with the owners and staff. This place is a must visit while anywhere in the area...AC or south. Unfortunately they won’t make this year’s AC beerfest as their success that caused them to expand prevented them from getting the new equipment ready in time to brew for the beer show. I’m sure they’ll be back next year though. |
68 /100 Joe Canal’s Discount Liquor Outlet- Rio Grande (Beer Store) 1613 ROUTE 47 SOUTH Stopped in during the winter "off-season" so I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was fairly well stocked and pretty solid overall. One row of craft beers. Four/six packs and bombers with a couple coolers full, too. Some local stuff (Tuckahoe, Cricket Hill, Philly area stuff) as well as a small Belgian section and popular American craft beers. Probably the best craft bottle selection in the area. A decent bourbon selection, too. Solid. |
54 /100 Joe Canal’s Discount Liquor Outlet- Rio Grande (Beer Store) 1613 ROUTE 47 SOUTH For the area it is definitely the oasis of beer. One aisle of cold but mostly typical brews. The opposite shelf is full of local micro, very light amount of belgians, rogue, stone and other US micro’s ..... Looks like they are adding a huge addition to the back so hopefully they add more beer aisles |
48 /100 Joe Canal’s Discount Liquor Outlet- Rio Grande (Beer Store) 1613 ROUTE 47 SOUTH In this area, this store is Mecca. They have all your normal macros and a decent amount of micros, more than anything between Wildwood/Cape May to Ocean City. If your headed down for the weekend or for vacation and taking the Parkway, get off at Exit 25 and hit Boulevard Liquors in Ocean City for a wider variety. This store isn’t bad though. You’ll find a few different Rogue, Stone, Troegs, & other micros. Pretty decent actually. |
76 /100 Joe Canal’s Discount Liquor Outlet- Rio Grande (Beer Store) 1613 ROUTE 47 SOUTH This place is kind of new, They have a young beer manager (Steve), who cultivating his passion for real brew. They had a a dozen Belgium’s, The hole spectrum of Victory, lots of American east coast micros. This was an oasis in the barren Wildwood shore. They love to talk beer. |
