“Just a brewery and taproom. Good beer, new stuff time to time. Just a shame they are not allowing to refill any kind of bottle, but just their own bottle.“

“2016-05-24. Primarily a bottle ship and place for growler fills they do offer samplers. It’s too bad they do not have more of a place to sit down and have a drink given the number of taps they have on offer. 500ml Bottles of a limited number of products, and rigger fills starting at 1.25L (an odd size...) of the rest of the taps. Beers were generally all pretty decent. Well worth a stop. In hindsight I wish we had bought more to take with us to Abel Tasman.“

“On the road between the towns of Motueka and Nelson is this small taproom and brewery offering their four beers in bottles and growlers, with samples from the tap. Open daily at 11am, it caters to wine travelers and vacationers going to and from Abel Tasman National Park. This is the building of the defunct Monkey Wizard brewery, new equipment, new owner and brewer and of course new beer. Golden Ale, Brown, Pale and Red IPA with a Double IPA planned. I chatted with the friendly owner and another guest, sampled the goods from tap and left with a bottle of Red IPA. The brewer seemed to know his stuff, he identified things in his current batches that he liked and disliked and is still tweaking the recipes. If you can’t visit the brewery, all four bottles are available at Fresh Choice supermarket in Nelson.“
