“New rating 2019: The brewing processed has ceased, now its the same bar without any home brewed beers. Now the name is just Hollywood Gardens, evidently the brewer and owner came to terms. Old rating: This is a medium small bar on a back alley in Rochester. Quite well hidden and even tho it’s been in business since the 1950s, and I’m a homie, this was the first time I visited. Evidently the original owner passed the bar over to his son a few years ago and now its become a craft and import beer haven. They even have their own nano-brewery in the basement called Brixton Brewing. They serve the brix brews upstairs, reminds me of a speakeasy. A little dark inside but my eyes adjust after a few minutes. Fine list of tapped beers. I easily found 5 new beers I’ve never tasted before even after rating 3500. Big bonus is the Brixton beers. The place also has a beer cave in the back with 4 coolers of singles to make a mixed six. of other brands Barmaid Bianca was very friendly and catered to my every beer whim. Lots of parking and the flight of 6 five oz beers cost me about $15. OK, I guess, one sample was about $5. Good overall beer drinken experience, has become a monthly regular.“
