“A brewpub in a 1930s building in Rašínov, Rokycany's villa neighborhood on the other side of the train tracks from the old city center. Leaving the train, go into the underpass and exit to the left. Outside, stick to the right till you see a mural for a tire shop, that's when you turn into Tyršova. Stick to the right side of the road and follow it right at the second intersection into Sokolská,near the end of which you'll see the brewpub. Classic interior, copper tanks visible. Empty when I visited - which was a boon as they support "choice" on mask-wearing. Classical Czech small town pub service, Czech-only probably. I believe only 4 taps were taken, unsure, the Stočeská 10° (perfumey, best lager I'd had from them), Weizengrimm 12° (again, a hefe in very good shape), the Cascade Ale which I gad disliked not that long ago and a Grapefruit Radler which I skipped. Big 10° and a small weizen for 52 overall is a very good deal nowadays too. I'd missed lunch time I guess and was told they were out of it. Oh well. Cheapish food - pork schnitzel and fries were the most expensive at 115czk, but smoked cow tongue in a horseradish sauce for 95 was what I would've gone for out of curiosity. I was amused how they scribbled on all coasters - they are selling them for 10 CZK each and I guess they were tired of people stealing them. Noticed that too late, I like having them as mementos of visited brewpubs. Dunno, the brewery definitely wasn't making itself interesting at festivals, both beers I'd had from them were sub par, but what I'd had there was in good shape and fairly well made, and one has to wonder what the norm is. The place, regardless of its policies, has to be a boon to the area and is a pretty decent brewpub however you look at it. If you have an hour to waste going between Prague and Plzeň, you could do worse than to hop off at Rokycany and visit it, but preferably once the pandemic is done away with.“

“brewpub and restaurant near the town centre of Rokycany near Plzen. Nicely decorated, all their beers (7 when I visited) are available on tap and in 1.5l plastic bottles to take away.“

“This place is just behind the centre part of this village. Ony locals were to be found here and the staff didn’t speak English nor German. This made it extra difficult when we got served our tasting plate with beers, they didn’t remember in which order they put it and after some blood, sweat and tears we got it all in the right order. The girl serving us tried her best with English. Got some new beers to try and some others weren’t available at that time. Same goes with the food, a lot of blood sweat and tears (and luck to have a translater on our side, so we know what meat it was they serve). Food is typical Czech food: a wooden plate with a piece of meat along with a cut onion and pickle. It’s a nicely renovated place and prices are pretty cheap. The brewery is in this pub, so you can see what they all use. Nice to have been here. Don’t feel like going back any time soon.“
