“Stopped in after hiking Balsam Lake and Graham mountains. Kitchy place empathizing the fly fishing culture of this town. Comfy leather couches, wood, stone fireplaces. 10 beers on tap plus extra 4 you can pour yourself with wall card, interesting. They had BBQ pitmaster out back that looked real good but I ate on trail. Friendly bartender. Enjoyed my time athough beers are just mediocre.“

“Should be a definite stop on any travels between the Hudson Valley and Binghamton...although not too far for a day trip from either as well as northern NJ (include nearby Catskill Brewery for a nice 1-2 punch). First thing you’ll notice is how amazingly cool the décor is...lodge like...but with a lot of attention to details...and local Trout Town (Roscoe) character & culture. I especially love the large fish tank with trout in it from the nearby hatchery. A local artist from nearby Orange County designed the taproom and did a great job. During my recent visit they were featuring 10 beers...so it looks like they are getting their game on since the previous visitor. The Eagle IPA and the Two Headed Stout were very good. Notable also was the Darwin’s Theory which is made each time by making a new batch but then mixing 50% from the previous batch. By doing that the beer slowly "evolves" over time. Nice idea...although this was only the second batch and my first visit. Regulars will likely want to track the beer’s progress over time. The prices here are reasonable and the staff very accommodating. You won’t find any bad beers here...and hopefully some you like...but you will likely think the stop is worth it given the very cool design of the taproom.“

“Had a nice visit here on a recent fishing trip to the area. They only had four of their own brews on tap, they usually have more but said they hadn’t been brewing lately. The ones they had were a little off, so I hope they get their production back on track. The place itself was nice and lodgey with good service and the guest taps they had filling in were pretty good.“
