68 /100 151 E 300 S They just opened this store a week ago. It has 2 stories, the top floor is mostly wine and some allocated things. Bottom floor has is all. Finally, ALL the beer is in coolers! Slowly, the state has been adding coolers to newer stores, but they still have some beer on shelves. This place is only coolers!
They have everything (mostly?) that is available in Utah. No running to different stores for different things. Finally, a selection of liquor for Utah made stuff.
The isles are a little narrow, especially if you're pushing around a cart.
Anyway, looks like Utah has finally taken notice and brought a real liquor store.
Parking on the street (300 S.) or in the parking lot in the back (on Edison St).
Bonus: They have a little display that shows some of the things that they uncovered while getting ready to build. Bottles, plates, bones, etc... from the late 1800's, early 1900's. |
72 /100 HK Brewing Collective (Bar) 370 W ASPEN AVE Located a few blocks from TF Brewing. Currently they brew NA Kombucha, but are waiting for licensing for Hard Kombucha soon.
Nice big tap room with views into the brewery. Lot's of seating at the bar or at the tables. 4 - 5 local seasonal beers on tap with a nice can/bottle list. Full bar. They also have there NA Kombuchas on tap.
Nice laid back place. Plenty of parking. Worth the stop if you are in the area.
Fast and friendly service. "Picnic bites" to snack on. |
62 /100 474 N 3700 W Located near A41.
Small restaurant and bar area's. Wrap around bar with a few tables. 8 taps and 6 bottles. Decent prices for an airport. $8 on tap, bottles are a little more.
Fairly small menu but a variety of different things, pizza, sandwiches, salad and breakfast options.

74 /100 550 S 300 W, SUITE 100 Medium sized space, brick and glass, 12 taps of own brews plus cans, flights of 4 available, decent beer, didn’t try the pizza |
70 /100 550 S 300 W, SUITE 100 Located in Post District complex. Plenty of parking. Nice place, lots of exposed brick and wood. Pizza oven takes up a big corner of the space. Plenty of seating inside or on the patio. 12 beers on tap, their high point beers available to drink there or to go.
I didn't eat this time, but they have great pizza and other food at the brewery, I'm sure this is location is just as good. |
68 /100 2020 INDUSTRIAL CIRCLE From 2019 - Located in an out of the way industrial park. It was absoltuley dead on a Friday eveneing. Beer was plentiful, but weak and bland. No food available. Neat racing memorbilia including an F1 race car. New location openign next year. |
70 /100 608 WEST 700 SOUTH Visited midday on a holiday Friday. Place was empty. In accordance with Utah's weird alcohol laws, the bar only offers 5% beers. They had plenty, but like a lot of beers in the area, they were pretty underwhelming, unable to deliver any real punch or heavy flavors. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and they have a cool array of pinball machines. Unless they have a food truck, all the offer for food is hotdogs and chili. There's a small, separate retail space for higher ABV offerings in cans, which of course you can't consume on site. Brewery #1009. |
64 /100 Handle Bar (Bar) 751 N 300 W Nice big place with lots of wood and bicycles hanging from the ceiling. Big bar area with plenty of seating inside or outside on the patio. 20 taps of mostly local beers and a big bottle list with a full bar. Good, fast service. The food menu looks mostly like bar food, with some vegan options. I haven't tried the food, but it looks tasty.
I've been here several times over the last 5 years. I thought I added and rated it when they opened 5 years ago, guess not. But, I've had several beer & place ratings disappear, so who knows?

84 /100 The Bayou (Bar) 645 S STATE ST. Swung by on a Saturday night. Based on some of the below reviews, I think they've modernized their inventory tracking system since COVID--they have an app now which seemed to be up to date. They basically have the B. United catalog available as bottles, plus a well-curated draft list of around 50% Utah beers and 50% other <5% classics. Most of the good stuff you'll want from Utah (although no T.F. or Bewilder when I visited). Great import selection (including Xyauyus). Excellent food, reasonable prices. What's not to love? |
78 /100 608 WEST 700 SOUTH Swung by on a Friday afternoon. ~16 taps, all (per Utah) 5% or less. Some distinct styles here (mild, cream ales, even a Sahti), generally well done (great use of adjuncts in the cream ales). Would come back here and see what else they have up their sleeves. |
88 /100 936 SOUTH 300 WEST This, to me, is the best place in SLC. Any place that does a rauchbier this good (think apples and bacon) deserves mad kudos. Great pilsner, hefe and kellerbier, too. As you can tell, beer styles skew German, but they also skew delicious.
Seriously, these folks are fantastic. Go here. You won't regret it. Space is great, too, and they have food trucks. |
74 /100 825 S STATE ST OK, so this, to me, the first (and probably only) SLC brewery to really make waves nationally. They got bought up by Canarchy and never really innovated past their core offerings. Their core offerings are good but unremarkable - the Baptist series used to be pretty amazing, but now is just fine by my tastes. Sours are similarly good but unremarkable. Space is very tiny, but I actually like the bottle pour gimmick because things are generally served at the proper temperature.
Definitely unique in Utah, as most taprooms require a full can of anything over 5% (here you can get 2oz pours of anything, and they stopper the bottles). It's a worthy stop, but five or so years ago I'd have been raving about it. Now there are better options locally. |
60 /100 776 N TERMINAL DRIVE Located in terminal A across from A25.
10 taps, mostly Utah beers, bottle list of 20 beers. Nice selection of whiskey.
Good was decent, airport pricing.
They also have a location downtown SLC, but I haven't been there. |
62 /100 147 WEST BROADWAY Medium size place, bunch of taps, full bar, and a kitchen that is actually open even on Sunday night (I know, it should not be anything to write about, but it appears it is not easy to get a meal in downtown SLC on Sunday night….); flights available, free WiFi; decent food; beer I tried was average at best |
58 /100 445 S 400 W Large place, converted industrial style; 14 own beers on tap plus some cans; disappointingly no food was available at 9 pm even though they were open until later, flights available, cans to go; the few beers I tried were average to mediocre; free wifi, dart boards |
54 /100 776 N TERMINAL DRIVE Small place near gate b20 with 12 beers on tap, 4 of which were boring macros. Typical pub fare which I did not sample. Overall about average for an airport restaurant. |
76 /100 Slackwater Pub & Pizzeria - SLC (Restaurant) 684 S 500 W Nice new location just a few blocks south of SLC, near Kiitos and Fisher. Lots of seating inside or out. Open air restaurant with garage doors to the patio. The wings, soup and pizza is great. The service was pretty lackluster, that seems to be the norm at all of the Slackwater locations!
30 taps and a huge bottle/can list.

84 /100 320 WEST 800 SOUTH Visited February 2022.
Not too far from downtown and we stopped on our way from the airport out to Park City. I didn't notice a parking lot for them, but there's street parking available.
Kind of a small place with a bit of an industrial feel to it. We took a couple seats at the bar, but they also have some tables in the tasting room.
They had a large selection of beers on. I ended up doing a couple flights and my wife had a couple pours of their sour beer. I thought in general, the beers were quite good. They do a wide variety of styles, so you can likely find something you enjoy.
The service was super friendly and accommodating. Great prices on the tasters but also the full pours and growlers.
Highly recommend this place if you're visiting SLC. |
60 /100 776 N TERMINAL DRIVE All the charm and ambiance you would expect from a busy airport terminal. Still I was able to find a new beer and the service was efficient. |
74 /100 916 JEFFERSON ST. W A nice new taproom with brewing equipment off to the side. A few tables and a bar with about 6 seats. A few snack options. 20 cider taps. They have a decent beers list of mostly Utah beers, meads, wine and a liquor.
Nice, layed back place. I'll be back.
They haven't started brewing ciders yet, just waiting on suppliers. But have done a collaboration with Etta Place Cider. |
66 /100 776 N TERMINAL DRIVE Had a couple of good beers from cans and a couple good pub dinners. Had a good dopplebock and a good golden Belgian ale- nice. Solid drink and grub for the airport. |
68 /100 1722 S FREMONT DR. Large space next to a modern production facility. Pretty generic looking interior, Large central bar and a lot of restaurant tables. Flights are now available, beer was just OK. Food was just OK too. Just an OK visit. |
72 /100 254 SOUTH 200 WEST Large restaurant style place, L-shaped bar and restaurant tables, cage-like patio with some shade. Beers were so-so, food was much better. Bottles were more interesting than the drafts. Decent service. OK stop. |
72 /100 445 S 400 W Visited with sledutah and ygtbsm. Large place, plenty of parking. Serving bar and restaurant tables. Beers were decent. |
80 /100 857 S MAIN STREET Slick modern place downtown. Nice variety of beers on tap, taster sizes possible. Very helpful staff had solid recommendations. Burgers are tasty too. Hipster vibe but in a good way. |
80 /100 320 WEST 800 SOUTH Industrial taproom in intimate relationship with the brewery - basically a few tables scattered amongst the equipment. Taster sizes are possible, two at a time. Helpful staff. Beers were very tasty. Worth a stop. |
70 /100 147 WEST BROADWAY Large place spread out over several floors in an interesting building. Street parking wasn't a problem. Taplist was OK and flights are possible. Didn't try the food. |
80 /100 825 S STATE ST Small cozy Place. Decent variety of beers on tap, and flights are now possible in Utah, even the allowed abv has risen. Bottles too, and those can be any abv, mostly high. |
90 /100 936 SOUTH 300 WEST One of the signs of a good brewery is their ability to do tasty low abv beers, and this place does them in spades, including several different rauchbier variants. Large space with an intimate relationship with the brewhouse, lots of big wooden tables, smallish patio. Dozen beers on tap every one was on point. Great place. |
82 /100 608 WEST 700 SOUTH One of my favorites in the area. Small bar and some tables in an industrial setting, loading dock sort of thing. No outdoor space when I visited. Nice variety of beer styles including some traditional ones, all were tasty. Freindly helpful staff. Solid place. |
58 /100 Gracie’s (Bar) 326 SOUTH WEST TEMPLE I finally made it here after driving by almost everyday for 27 years.
The beer menu is kinda disappointing though, they have plenty of taps and bottles but only stuff you can get anywhere else in town. The place is huge inside, with a patio upstairs and on the main floor. Good service. We only had wings, which were good. |
60 /100 776 N TERMINAL DRIVE Very spacious for an airport brewery location. In person and app service. A small number of taps and some cans to round it out. Mostly Uinta, but a few macros too. Trip out to Eugene for ASEH 2022 |
66 /100 776 N TERMINAL DRIVE, 84122 SALT LAKE CITY, UNITED STATES In terminal A, just past security. Standard airport setup, u shaped bar, rows of tables. Quick service, tap and bottles/cans available. Food menu is standard bar fare, but I did not eat. |
68 /100 Shades Pub Downtown (Bar) 366 S. STATE STREET Located on the second floor in an older building. Large seating area with plenty of tables, and a few couches and chairs scattered around. A Venezuelan restaurant (Churrasco Grill) just opened in one corner of the floor. I didn't eat, but it looked good and I'll be back to try it.
8 taps and a large can list.
Parking is mostly street parking, but there is a garage a few blocks away on Exchange Place. |
62 /100 776 N TERMINAL DRIVE, 84122 SALT LAKE CITY, UNITED STATES Located in the A Terminal, after TSA in the main plaza. 8 taps of Roosters beer. Nice modern bar and eating area. A small menu of burgers, sandwiches and salads. Good service, they just opened this location so they are going through some learning curve. Good solid beers. |
68 /100 776 N TERMINAL DRIVE Typical vibe considering it’s an airport. That said, the service was great, the selection better than expected, and the food decent. |
56 /100 Poplar Street Pub (Bar) 242 SOUTH 200 WEST Typical big city dive bar motif. Staff was occasionally attentive. Local brews were pretty much it here. Meh |
82 /100 Beerhive Pub (Bar) 128 S. MAIN ST Open long counter bar with a pool hall in the basement. Staff was knowledgeable and courteous. Selection is outstanding. Must visit if in SLC. |
66 /100 Utah State Liquor Store #12 - 402 E 6th Ave (Beer Store) 402 EAST 6TH AVE, STE 1 Open, industrial format liquor store. Beer selection is hidden. Good selection of Utah beer, not much for regional, national or international breweries. People were nice. |
60 /100 776 N TERMINAL DRIVE Decent airport place. Not a great array of beers, but oh well. Friendly service despite the crowd. |
80 /100 825 S STATE ST Nice little brewpub. Cozy confines, attentive service. The menu had literally very little correlation with the beer available. Beer was great, tho. |
82 /100 254 SOUTH 200 WEST Nice open, airy taproom with little flair and a lot of substance. Selection is great, though not huge. Bottle shop literally hiding in the back. Food is excellent and the service is quality. |
62 /100 776 N TERMINAL DRIVE Located in the B terminal, across from B6. 10 taps, mostly Wasatch & Squatters, & Coors light (why??). A good selection of Wasatch & Squatters cans available. Seating at the bar or at several tables. I didn't try the food, but they have a good variety of food to choose from. |
52 /100 Craft Café by Salt Lake City Brewing (Restaurant) 5725 AMELIA EARHART DR A small Cafe located near the airport in an industrial area. 4 beers on tap, 5 cans. Good, friendly service. The food was ok, nothing special. Sandwiches, burgers, salads & soup. Only open during the week. |
70 /100 153 S RIO GRANDE ST SUITE 107 Located at The Gateway Mall, inside The Hallpass. A nice location, 4 different restaurants and the bar. Mostly local beers on tap and in bottle, only 3 out of state beers. A little disappointed from what I was expecting. I was hoping to get some Beer Zombie and Mason Ale Works beers. They only had 1 beer that I haven't had before and it was sold out.
A nice location and friendly staff. I'll come back another day but I'll check the tap/bottle list first. |
76 /100 445 S 400 W Surprisingly excellent place in downtown SLC, very close to my hotel. The website has really no information, so I had no idea what to expect but it was a pleasant surprise. Very large building, warehouse style. There is plenty of indoor seating, but we chose to sit outside on a covered patio. Beers were solid, perhaps not spectacular but certainly serviceable. Rye IPA was good. The food was excellent - sausages with toppings. Definitely worth a stop for the food alone. Overall, a great place to enjoy a beer and food. |
78 /100 608 WEST 700 SOUTH Brewery to the south/west of downtown in an industrial area, right near the highway. Only indoor seating I think. They have TVs and some pinball machines. Pretty extensive tap list, ~20 taps. All low gravity but pretty good and lots of variety (they do have a Finnish Sahti!). They have a small menu of snacks (burritos, chips/salsa, and some dessert items). There are food trucks, but only on weekends it seems. A chill place, good beer, definitely worth an extended stop. |
74 /100 320 WEST 800 SOUTH Brewery about a mile south of downtown SLC. A somewhat small place. There is some outdoor seating (not scenic) and indoor seating. They have food trucks daily (empanada food truck was great!). Around 10 drafts, decent beers. My hazy ipa and Irish stout were pretty good. My husband quite liked his Belgian blonde and saison. They have some old Fisher memorabilia by the bar (history of the brewery is worth a read). Solid stop, close to TF Brewing also. |
78 /100 936 SOUTH 300 WEST Brewpub about a mile south of downtown SLC. Some outdoor seating (not scenic) and long indoor tables. They have a long draft list and also a few cans of higher gravity beers. They have a lot of German styles on draft. My favorite was a canned hazy ipa. They have food trucks most days and they also offer a short menu of German pretzel, mixed nuts, and a meat board (I didn’t get any food there). Overall I thought the beer was quite good and would definitely recommend. |
