“Came here on 30.1.2020. Beer restaurant (do not believe they brew on site) in a small town between Solingen and Wuppertal. Parking is very challenging as it is located in a residentual area. I was lucky. Small bar (two stools!) and 3 rooms with tables. Nice German ambiance. Beers were ok. Tried the Alt, Weissbier and Zwickel. Food was just ok. Service was attentive despite a full house.“

“Mock "brewpub" just a few steps from the beautiful traditional village centre. The pub looks authentical like many houses in the area ("bergisch"):white window frames, green shutters and slate-covered walls; inside a mixture of traditional and modern furniture, outside a smaller patio with a little fountain. The beers are - er - quite O.K., but surely not worth a detour!“

“Semi-tradtional "Brauhaus" in the pedestrian-zone of Solingen-Ohligs, just a few steps from the main railway station aka "Hauptbahnhof"; four beers from the "Gräfrather Kloster- (or Hof-) Bräu" on tap; beers and service quite O.K., even though not worth a long journey. Worth a visit, if You are around.“

“A really cosy place with top notch service, reaonable prices for its food /big portions/ and four on tap. Old school location within an old school high street. Clean, classy, fine atmosphere. Reminded me a of 17th century house - might have been. Beers were good to fine. Food was fine but heavily seasoned.“

“We went to this small brewpub for a small snack in the late afternoon and were welcomed very friendly and warm. Although it was quite busy, it was not crowded or noisy - the atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. The furniture, interior and decorations were kind of old-school but also very modern. We ordered -like always- local and regional dishes: Bergische Kartoffelsuppe ( potato soup) and Hausgemachte Frikadellen / Kartoffelsalat (homemade meatballs with potato salad). The dishes were very tasty, although my Frikadellen were for my likings far too cold (I like it steaming hot) - also the potato salad was too cold (I prefer it luke warm). But nevertheless tasty and well spiced. The service was wonderful and very fast - very friendly and charming. The prices are very moderate and fair. I enjoyed their beers, they were served perfectly with the right temperatures. I enjoyed our visit at this brewpub and would come back every time.“

“In a cosy classic village, with beautiful neighborhood; I particularly like the interior, the old structure and the low ceiling. English spoken, and smiling service. The beers are not spectacular, even a bit flawed (some diacetyl).“

“Nice small brewpub in the center of Gräfrath. Their beers are brewed somewhere in bavaria for them. The food is ok and not too expensive, the beers are ok, but not something very special! “
