This place in an area nearly too small to call a community had Two different offerings from Firestone Walker. The guy working was friendly and very helpful.“

“right outside the small main drag in Southwest Harbor, near a coffee place. Wasn’t expecting much after checking out the local IGA up the road which had an awful selection for Maine, but WOW upon checking out this place blind, this was literally a goldmine of quality offerings jammed into a tight space..the beer offerings are wonderful with all types of hard to find offerings from Maine, the US and abroad. I was shocked by the number of rarities and hard to find beers that I spotted and picked up. Very well worth a stop if anywhere on Mt Desert Island.“

“Just tell them what you like and they will suggest all sorts of new things to try! Very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The place doesn’t look like much outside, but it’s huge inside!“

“Decent place to stop if you are in the area. Best selection no found for local and import beers that are for us geeks, but it is organized a little chaotically and you might want to ask if you can’t find something. Service was friendly enough and all my questions were answered quickly.“

“Doesn’t look like much from the outside, kind of an old rural strip mall with some beer signs. Inside is kitschy and appropriate for a small town liquor store. They have a good selection from the USA and internationally. Prices are a little high, but not out of line for the region or the kinds of items available. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, samples on some Saturdays. Store dog is cute, too.“

“Great selection of bottled beers from all over the world. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and can provide suggestions based upon what you like if you find the selection overwhelming. Also very knowledgeable about what is available from the distributors, when certain brews are coming out, etc. Beer tastings give an opportunity to try new beers.“

“Great place, I rated the ambiance highly because you can’t help but see lots of good beer. I walked in not expecting much and walked out with 6 Saisons I’ve never had the chance to taste before! Next time I’m on MDI I’ll drop in to see if there’s anything new. Worth a detour if you’re within an hour of the place.“

“Wow! After a series of disappointments on Mt. Desert Island, this place took the cake! The best selection of Maine beers that I saw in the state. Everything from Bar Harbor and Portland that I could think of, plus a few more. Full DFH lineup. Even some Southhampton somehow?!? Anyhow, the prices were very competitive and I got a couple good bargains (and that’s by my midwest standards). The guy there really seemed to know his shit too in my conversation with him. If you’re ever in Bar Harbor, make the trip over to the "Quiet Side" to find the best beer selection in the area.“

“THE place to go for Maine beers while on Mt. Desert Island (have all the Bar Harbor and Atlantic Brewing beers - was actually referred here by an Atlantic Brewing employee) with an incredible selection of foreign and other Maine micros (great DFH and Belgian selection at a good price). In a small strip mall on your right just after you come down the hill into town.“
