“A couple of visits over the last 3 years, most recently Saturday, October 14th. This is an old converted bank building, with a bright, warms front bar-room and a couple of more intimate, darker dining rooms toward the rear. It bills itself as a "gastropub" and I guess that’s reasonable; I’ve had a seafood special and ribs - the former OK (previously frozen shrimp and bay scallops with an excellent sauce and rice), the latter much better (oven-baked ribs but full of flavor and chewy but tender). Good salads and soups. Taps are all local with some less common, and they rotate frequently. Not an amazing place beer-wise but as near as I can tell the best combination of good beer and good food in this town (though I haven’t checked out every place yet), which is a must-visit spot if you’re into architecture (Frank Lloyd Wright) or kitsch (The House of the Rock). There’s a terrific small bookstore a half-block away. Oh, they don’t have dessert except in the winter - odd.“
