70 /100 564 MAIN STREET Came here after leaving Bovino's because they were too busy .. 2pm on a Saturday. This place was pretty much dead. They had some people doing Axe Throwing, but suprised this was less than 2 blocks from Bovino's that was full. Beers right at about average. |
76 /100 2332 WALTERS RD Located on a 100 acre Vineyard, really nice building on the top of a hill, great ambiance, wine, simple food menu and nice staff ..... They had four house beers and four from nearby Barley Creek Brewing ..... Brewery is located downstairs with tours .... Simple brews, simple styles and a great view ..... Kind of in the middle of nowhere, but if I'm in the area I'll be back |
68 /100 Siamsa Irish Pub (Bar) 636 MAIN ST Ambiance - the venue is spacious, decor is well designed and tactful, plenty of seating.
Service - service is helpful
Selection - is a little sparse, could really turn this into a really great venue with some more quality beers.
Food - is pretty solid, not exceptional
Value - prices were good for alcohol. Food was fairly expensive.
Overall - cool venue. Would recommend. |
66 /100 Floods (Bar) 732 MAIN ST Ambiance - the bar is nice, but the lighting is a little too dark.
Service - is adequate
Selection - is pretty solid. There is a generous offering in count & an array of good quality brews.
Food - did not have food
Value - is average
Overall - seemed like a great party bar. |
70 /100 Newberry’s Yard Of Ale (Bar) 622 MAIN ST Ambiance - nice interior, clean, with plenty of room.
Service - nice staff, bartender was a little out there. Strange.
Selection - is solid, not massive, but solid.
Food - didn't have food. But menu looks nice.
Value - a tad above market standard pricing.
Overall - it was a good venue. Would return. |
94 /100 Newberry’s Yard Of Ale (Bar) 622 MAIN ST Great food, cold brew that you can’t get anywhere else in town, nice staff. What else do you need? |
56 /100 Sarah Street Grill (Restaurant) 550 QUAKER ALLEY Not a real craft/micro brew bar. Good music and a descent sandwich. |
54 /100 Floods (Bar) 732 MAIN ST It was OK. Bar needs work and a good cleaning. |
96 /100 Newberry’s Yard Of Ale (Bar) 622 MAIN ST Great ambiance with an exceptional selection of beer and a well balanced menu. The basement dining room and game room is great. |
94 /100 Newberry’s Yard Of Ale (Bar) 622 MAIN ST Wow, great place, beautiful bar. Downstairs they have a game room, Cigar room in the back, great food. But the best is the beer selection, awesome. |
72 /100 Floods (Bar) 732 MAIN ST Nice place, bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly. My chicken sandwich was outstanding and the beer selection was surprisingly decent. |
84 /100 Sarah Street Grill (Restaurant) 550 QUAKER ALLEY One of my favorite places in the Poconos. Not a craft beer mecca, but they do have some local Shawnee Craft Ales on tap and a good selection of solid bottles. Also about 20 drafts, mostly macros. The food and service here is exceptional. Just bar food, but prepared with care and beer friendly. Great value for your buck as well. |
70 /100 Sarah Street Grill (Restaurant) 550 QUAKER ALLEY The place is literally located off of an alley which gives it a bit of a secret handshake sort of vibe. The inside is very dark with a ton of tv’s scattered around. There’s a small platform for live music as well ad lots of massive speakers. The taps are mainly bmc but they have a number of local craft options in bottles. I can definitely do without the refrigerated glassware. That being said, I thought the service was really good. The bartenders were personable and curious. The prices, especially for the food, I thought were very reasonable. If I’m driving through, I’ll definitely stop again. |
64 /100 Floods (Bar) 732 MAIN ST Locals and mixed crowd. Good selection of the usual taps plus dogfish head 90min IPA Guiness 250.Very good bottle selection. Friendly service. |
60 /100 Floods (Bar) 732 MAIN ST From the outside in, this appears to be a typical college bar. Quite an interesting mix of college kids and local drunks. Atmosphere and service is just ok, but the selection is fantastic for a place like this. Not the selection you would expect when you walk into Flood’s. |
96 /100 Floods (Bar) 732 MAIN ST My favorite pocono watering hole. |
88 /100 Floods (Bar) 732 MAIN ST Great wings and burgers. The bartenders are really cool and they have good entertainment on the weekends. |
64 /100 Floods (Bar) 732 MAIN ST Used to go here a lot when I worked in Swiftwater. Not a lot of beers, but the food was decent and the service was always passable. |
66 /100 Floods (Bar) 732 MAIN ST This looks like your typical college-type bar where you see students, locals, county employees, contractors and the occasional drunk off the street but they boast a nice international sample of bottled beers. They have a lot of taps but they usually have the typical MBC stuff, Woodchuck, Franzenkaner, a Barley Creek beer like Antler or SuperHop, etc etc. For the bottles they have everything listed by country (Example Belgium they have Duvel, Corsendonk, Sami Claus, etc.). The bottles tend to be pricey. One of the bartenders has memorized a book of baseball stats and they tend to prefer the Phillies in a town full of Yankee fan NY-transplants. The bartenders aren’t really that much into beer but they usually get me what I want quickly and appreciate tips.
The bar has the Irish Pub theme going on with the Irish flag outside and a few decorations inside. If you want more Irish fare, a new pub Siamsa down the road has live Irish music (limited beer selection). |
