“Small bar connected to the hotel reception with a small bar area and a quite terrace on the back where I enjoyed my beers for a few hours. No food but some light snack available together with a few beers from other breweries, soft drinks and coffee. Super friendly service and all over a very quiet but nice Monday evening that I appreciated a lot. Well worth the detour if interested visiting this slightly odd place or just for the ticks.“

“Only hotell in Tau. This is dual, they have bottle shop in basement for beer up to 4.7 and cider. Upstairs is the hotel with pub/restaurant. They produce the beer/cider local on the hotell. Nice selection of own beer/cider as well as few other local ones. Visited 24.06.2023 with Bryne.“

“A butique hotel located in a relatively quiet residental area. Although in a walking distance from the nearest bus station, restaurants and other services. Fairly large rooms for two persons. We had booked a beer tasting, and we got to taste six beers from the brewery, and one by one a representative served and talked us through them. Afterwards we could buy their beers from the bar area by the reception, 15 in total. No food at the premises. The staff is just there occasional at our visit mid november, so he left when we headed for a dinner at Meat&Eat restaurant nearby. Later it was possible to stay in the bar area by the reception and drink the beer we previously purchased. Breakfast was delivered in nice little bags the next day to pick up.“

“New review: the ferry is history, now you take the bus from Stavanger through an underwater tunnel. The bus stop near the hotel is named "Tau bensinstasjon" (Tau gas station) The ride from Stavanger is about 40 minutes and you have to change bus at Solbakk bussterminal. Lilland now have a small bottleshop downstairs. I found ten new bottles! In the bar there was two Lilland beers on tap and lots of bottles available. The foreign bottled selection is nothing compared to what it was back in 2017. But, the selection from Lilland is much better. Service was top notch. But, sadly not many visitors in the bar during my visit early in the evening this Friday. (Visited December 9th 2022) Original review: Finally, Tau is again a beer destination! Since Tou Brewery moved to Stavanger in1901, this area has been a beer wasteland. Lilland Brewery Hotel have a small beer shop were you can purchase beers ut to 4.7% and a bar with a well curated bottled selection: Westvleteren 12, Struise Black Albert, lots of beers from Lervig and a couple of their own beers. At the moment, no Lilland beers on tap and they labels the bottles when you buy one to drink in the bar. We were the only guests at 3 o’clock in the afternoon, but the reception re-opens at 3 o’clock. The different opening times are displayed at their web site or on Facebook. But, as long as the reception is staffed, you can buy beers to go or enjoy a beer in the bar. Nice patio in front and a covered beer garden in the backyard. Nice. And rememember, this is an easy visit if you stay in Stavanger. From the ferry pier it’s only a 10 minutes walk. Well worth a visit! (Visited May 20th 2017 with Untappd-Jostein, the driver...)“

“Small hotell with friendly staff and a beer menu which comes as a nice surprise. Plenty of good Lervigs and some fine Belgian beers. Their house brewery produces a very competent IPA and a Belgian style beer. A must for beer hunters if you’re in the vicinity.“

“Small hotell at Tau with a well-selected beer menu, concentrating om Lervig and on Belgian beers. They also have a small brewery, making an IPA and a Belgian style beer. Friendly atmosphere“

“This hotel has ambitions, brewing have started at the premises, and a bottle shop is planned for later. Beers will be available on tap and bottle from the small bar at the reception, probably late october/early november. For now they have a good bottle selection from near and far, available on weekdays only until the high season next spring when they will have open all days of the week.“

“Small hotel (the only one in Tau) with a nice selection of bottled beers from the Lervig range, and quite a few decent Belgian ales. Lervig Pils is the only beer on tap, though. There are rumours that the owners intend to do some small scale brewing on the premises, but no own beers beers were on when I visited on a Sunday, and the Polish(?) receptionist had never heard anything about them doing own beers. The bar is next to the front desk. However, I had a nice Lervig bottled beer (Softly Softly) on the patio in the sunshine. They used to have their restaurant open for Sunday lunch, but now the restaurant is only open for breakfast, and meals for pre-booked groups (hotel guests). *Update 27.10.2016: Two of their own beers are now available in the bar (unlabelled bottles), an IPA and a Belgian strong ale. I will now add Lilland Bryggerihotell as a brewery.“
