“Solid spot out in the springs (LOL jk it’s a desert). You can hike over the mountain from Sky Valley if you’re so inclined, but you might die. Serviceable beers, 24 on tap when I went. Indoor and outdoor seating with a standard brewery setup.“

“Excellent brewery in my neighborhood. Casual atmosphere and spacious tasting room. They have games, newspapers and stuff. Light snacks, but you can bring your own food in too. They do have occasional catering on site. Staff are great. Extensive beer selection with plenty of specialties. Prices are a little high.“

“I used to go here a lot more, but recently not so much. They have a reasonable selection but the biggest issue is price - it’s retardedly expensive. $30+ for a growler fill of IIPA is nuts, same for their mediocre IPA @ $25. Some of their beers are great - but all of them are overpriced. Good ambiance, the tour is nice, but it costs too much to drink here regularly even as a member - which I have done for the last two years. If you go here you want Harvester or any of its variants. They’re really good, world class IMO. Black Widow and Conquistador are serviceable. If you are ’lucky’ you can convince the manager for a $100 growler fill of Conquistador, laughable. Monumentous IPA is mediocre, don’t bother. Worth checking out if you’re in the area - they’re easily the best microbrewery in the desert, but they aren’t exactly cheap.“

“Coachella Valley Visited March 12, 2015.

Finally stopped in here, not that I spend much time in the Palm Springs area, but I’ve been meaning to check it out for a year now. I’m amazed at how well they’re doing being way out here in the desert. They have some ridiculous number of accounts around southern California. They’re all over Los Angeles and San Diego now too. I don’t remember how many accounts they said they have but it was several thousand. A lot of money must have gone into this place. The system is a pretty good size, maybe 25 bbl. Chris took me on a tour briefly between samplers. They have this really cool system that recovers water from the grain. Basically they press the spent grains and recover a fair amount of the water that would normally be lost. Even if you don’t care about that you’d have to admit that they have a lot of house beers on, so no way to get bored really.

On the topic of beers, I think the house beers here could use some work. Many of them have some apple-y flavors. I guess they need to know what’s going on in the fermenter but my guess is either the beer is fermented too hot or the yeast has been stressed and has mutated. In any event I did enjoy trying a dozen beers and hearing about various collaborations but I think they need some work. I’ll definitely stop back in again on the way through the area (next trip out to Phoenix). “

“About 20 minutes or so from downtown Palm Springs, since there isn’t a terribly great way to get here without doing a lot of street travel. Out in a business park kind of in the middle of nowhere. An oasis of sorts, I suppose.

Firstly, thank you to the person who designed this place and actually put HVAC in here. I cannot imagine how miserable it would be if this were yet another warehouse brewery tasting room.

Anyway, there are a couple of "areas to this place. A lobby of sorts with a table or two and the main tasting room and bar area. They have a lot of beers on tap here, but the list is sort of confusing...they keep just about everything they brew listed on the board, but then mark it with a symbol to show which are actually on tap. Whatever works...

They will only serve each person 4 tasters or one full beer at a time, so be aware of that if you’re a total degenerate like me and want to try them all. They also bottle a lot of their normal beers. The beers themselves left a lot to be desired. Many of them had a fair amount of green apple or some other noticeable defect.

Service at the bar was good, but it was sort of a lazy afternoon shortly after opening.

Besides the beer being mediocre, my biggest critique on this place is the pricing. Full pours were acceptable, I suppose. But tasters ran around $3 each, so to try the ~12 beers they had was damn near $40. If the beers were good, I’d still groan a little about the price, but since I didn’t really care for any of them, it felt like a kick in the nuts.“

“Easy to find in a business complex. High ceiling open tap room that is in front of the brew house with a window looking into the operation. Great service, small pours available to sample a large array of beers on. I forget exactly how many handles they had on, but it was over a dozen with a couple of saisons, a double rye ipa and a malt liquor on...so some variety. Some of the beers were a bit all over the place with ingredients. Some were better than others but worth a stop if you are in this area.“

“We visited this new brewery on 4.1.2014. They have been operating for just 6 months. Nice ambiente - walls made from different wood types, nice bar and the brewery behind a glass wall. The brewhouse is quite large considering they are in business for only a short period of time. They had 8 beers on tap and are already brewing around 15. We tasted a Rye IPA, was ok, and a Chili ale, which was very good. Overall a good brewery with some potential.“
