76 /100 THE LION INN, THE STREET
“This is a very large village pub just by the marina within the village, but somehow I managed to miss it initially. It claims to have the largest beer range on the Broads, which I cannot dispute having 6 cask ales and around 10 kegs and I never saw more in the area. Multi roomed inside, it's a pub grub sort of place, so more for the drinker than normal. Lots of seating outside in the sunshine. Well worth a visit.“

“Stopped here overnight whilst boating the Broads. This pub is at the end of the popular Thurne Dyke, just before the River Thurne hits the River Bure. It naturally does well from the tourist boats given its prime location close to a meeting point of two major rivers and a large part of the pub is set-up for diners. The pub part includes a small bar with 4 ale pumps that will include a local selection, and it’s a cosy enough country pub bar area to sit in if you’ve already eaten elsewhere or on your boat. Moorings on the dyke were few and far between when we were there.“
