Casa del Vino (Beer Store)

“Pretty nice selection of stock that seems to be fairly well rotated. They always have lots of new Short’s beers available. Can be on the high side of pricing at times, but other times they’d had certain beers for extremely cheap. Accident? Who knows. Definitely a nice place to stop if you’re down that way.“

“Specialty is wine but they carry a wide variety of beers as well, and a lot of the upper end hard to find stuff.“

“Great selection of micros. But their specialty is wine. Service is always good. Store is well kept and clean. We usually stop here when we are in town.“

“Located in the Polish/Eastern European side of town, this place stocks a wide variety of Polish, Russian, Lithuanian, etc. imports as well as a selection of American micro’s and more well known imports. Good value pricing, helpful staff.“

70 /100 300 SOUTH BROAD STREET
“(Visited 10/2007): Mill Hill Saloon is located in downtown Trenton on the corner of South Broad and Market. There is street parking on South Broad, and driving there was suggested in the evening despite the place only being a couple blocks from my hotel. The area is definitely economically depressed so it is something to keep in mind. The Saloon is in an old building that dates back to the 1850’s and it shows. Very old-Western looking on the outside. Inside the atmosphere keeps with the old saloon look with old pictures on the wall and lots of wood. The bar is located in the center and there is a bar area downstairs as well. The beer selection here is pretty good all things considered. Local/regional beers from brewers like Victory, Long Trail, River Horse and Flying Fish are available on draught. The bottle selection is pretty limited but they do have Yeungling. Service here is really good. The proprietor was happy to talk about the history of the building and the available beers and poured samples on request. He also made good food recommendations. The food here is really good. My colleague and I both had the Philly cheese steak which was among the best I have ever had. Really good. Overall I would definitely make this the place to visit for food and beer a visit to Trenton. Definitely a diamond in the rough.“

“In the last year they have expanded the selection to almost 100 + beers. Mainly a wine shop with the standard imports and a decent amount of Michigan brews . Not many hard to find seasonals yet. Give them a little time and they should ..“
