“The very close Barfüsser (between town hall and main church) from the same brand is better choice for tasting beer than the QMUH. Spacious restaurant offers beers from the Barfüsser brewery, but most of them are the same as directly in the brewery or only bottled. Staff was extremely slow, more than is usuall in Swabia. Food looked good, but I did not try.“

“We visited here Saturday 8th April 2023 after a long cycle ride from the Wohnmobil Stellplatz, Brauerei Biberach. This was a good find in the centre of town, very centrally located, very busy, it is a large, modern place that appeals to all but today there seemed to be a lot of families visiting. The food was really very decent, I had Flammakuchen (hope I spelt that correct) Loz had the Brezen, with three different dip type things including a lard one which was very good. The beers were ok, nothing special simply ok. Its worth visiting if in the area as it is so easy to find but don't expect amazing beers, btw you can do a sample selection which made it better value to try as many beers as possible.“

“A cross between a bar and a burger joint / steak house. Sells Barfusser beers on tap plus their "modern" beers in bottles. A 1 min walk from the Munster (Germany's tallest cathedral spire) passing the old Barfusser site on your right as you descend. Gets busy at weekends.“

“THIS VENUE HAS RELOCATED 2016 or 2017. A pleasant bar by the cathedral with the tallest spire in Germany doing a standard range of beers but all fairly good versions of those styles, the schwarze being my favourite. Food nothing special but good value.“

“I like the Brewery/Restaurant/Bar a lot. It is central located and they’re brewing their own beer. They have a lot of different sorts of beer from blond to dank and they are changing thair sesonal beers too. If ou just want to enjoy your time with ggod friend and have a nnice food and good beer this is a perfect place in Ulm.“

“Nice robust looking brewpub that wants to look like an old traditional pub but is too new and too clean (too sterile, too little character). The selection is small, but it has the standard beers and the price value ratio is quite good. Also you have a nice view of the münster from the terasse.“

“Visited on a freezing cold Feb night. Upstairs venue about 5 mins from Hbf, had 4 beers on, the standard helles, dunkel and wheat beer plus a Rotgold. Believe the beer is brewed in Neu-Ulm. OK place, a chain so never gonna pick up much exciting“

“Very nice place just around the corner of the cathedral. Interior a nice mix of traditional and modern. Easy going, good service, good food and not expensive. Three beers on draught: blonde, weizen and schwarzes. All the beers only here on sale in 1 liter and 2 liter bottles.“

“A new bar/restaurant in the Hotel Stern. What caught my eye was a genuine wooden barrel on the bar which usually dispenses helles or on my recent visit was Naturtrubes Kellerbier, all by Hacker-Pschorr and in good nick. Being part of a hotel and quite restauranty lacks a bit of character but the opening hours are good and they serve hot food until 2300 daily. Food is good quality and the bread is very special.“

“UPDATE Nov.2017 / Gone are the Memminger beers. Now doing Berg from nearby Ehingen. On tap are a good Braumeister pils and Ulrichsbier, a quite pale dunkel. Wheat beers from Berg and Schneider Weisse are from bottles / A beautiful rustic pub in a former watermill that dates back to the 1600s! In the lovely old part of town where the quaint old buildings are rather chocolate-boxy. There are several bars in this district but this one I fell in love with as the bar area is full of shiny copper and they used to do (before Memminger bought them and promptly closed them) Ulmer Munster beers which were outstanding especially the kellerpils!“

“Paulaner’s chain in Ulm. Usual range of beers and food though quite pricey. No Salvator on tap when I’ve been, but they do the ghastly Oktoberfest bier when it’s that time of year.“

“Get a tram to the end of the line and you are there! Well off the tourist trail out in a suburb. Beers are good and the rare style Eisbock is on all year, both the light and dark versions, worth a visit for this alone. A large outdoor courtyard means appallingly slow service.“

“Have visited here 3 times, most recemtly July ’11. New age brau haus - laminate floor and vinyl walls - not pretty. Have only been here lateish (8.30/9pm+) and never on a Fri/Sat but has always been dead and lacking in atmosphere, basically our group and 2 to 4 other drinkers! beers are average/adequate - service fine ... no pressure! Food was decent. If in Ulm visit - only 3 or 4 minutes walk from the Munster, but don’t come to Ulm for Barfusser alone!“

“Barfüßer right near the Münster, one of four in the chain in southern Germany. Long story short, place turns out to be something of a tourist trap by virtue of its location the beers are meh and my Fladenbrot super salty. Service was fine.“

“Brewery in a busy quarter of Ulm, not as rural as expected. Parking can be difficult, I got the last space in the narrow court. Large selection of different beers, including their Natureis beers, i.e. beers produced/lagered without artificial cooling, but with ice blocks. Souvenirs available. Very friendly staff. I didn’t try the restaurant, but the shop is really worth a visit if you want their bottled beers.“

“The brewery is just down the road from my brother in law´s house, wich is great, cours the beers were good. I look forward to going to Ulm again. You can bye beers out of the house, so you don´t have to sit there and drink 1 od all there beers, wich is good, it´s not that nice there.“
