“Short visit to pick up some bottles. Cash or danish mobilepay. Friendly stuff. Bar, some tables and chairs. Do we need more?“

“Small brewpub with wooden tables and chairs. No bar, no bar stools. 3 taps at my visit. No bottles for sale. As the premises are in a former butchers shop there are still white tiles on the walls resulting in rather bad acoustics. Pictures of fish on the walls. You can see the brewery equipment in one of the rooms albeit not the fermentation tanks. A batch is about 120 litres and they brew almost every week. 4 people working at the pub, 2 of them brewers. None of the staff is working at the brewpub full time. Friendly service, beers carefully poured, prices absolutely fair. Peanuts distributed at no cost for the guests.“

“Small café / bar with Jacobi brewers in the back and therefore on 2 of the 4 taps. Did not count the bottles but the quality was above the level I had expected. Centrally located place with a very friendly staff. Not much food, basically snacks. Did not have any though.“

“Typical Danish version of a British pub. Television on the wall and not many interesting beers. Erdinger and brewmaster IPA (Carlsberg) on tap + the usual suspects. The surprice was 4 Founders beers in the fridge, and I one of them was new to me.“

“Nice "english styled pub" over two levels located at the square. Definitely the place to visit if you are nearby. Mainstream beer at the seven taps. More interesting stuff in the fridge.“

“English style pub and restaurant right on the square in Varde. Nice outdoor seating during summer time.Seems to be popular all day long among locals. A good range of bottled beer from the local Warwik Brewery. Our first disappointment was when what looked like taps with cask ales turned out to be ordinary taps with Carlsberg and other macro crap beers! They also have a small beer menu, but most bottles are quite ordinary. And, there are more beer from Ireland than England. In an "English" pub? We had a bottle each: Porterhouse Oyster Stout and Warwik Blåvand, a local beer. Both were served way to cold! The bottles were so cold that we could hardly hold them. A rather tastless experience.(Visited April 7th 2012)“

“Combined shop and cafe. A little bit of everything: all sorts of organic products, chocolate, coffee, tea, wine, spirits and beer. A rather small beer selection with hardly any from Mikkeller, Bere Here or Hornbeer. But, some interesting stuff from Det Lille Bryggeri and several from England. 66 cl Moor JJJ IPA costs 105 kroner.Quite expensive! They do not accept foreign credit cards. (Visited April 7th 2012)“
