“One of only 2 pubs left in Verwood(3 if you include The Hideaway). Hall and Woodhouse pub, so everything is decorated and maintained to a good standard. Always have seasonal Badgers on offer on draught as well as bottled. On the whole, staff are really friendly. Food is fine - never had a bad meal there. Wednesday is quiz night so best avoided if you want a seat. A nice big fire in the winter. No garden, but patios at front and rear. Wi-fi is a bit slow. The locals are a nice bunch and it’s a dog friendly pub.“

“Best pub in verwood (of only 4 however) gets busy at weekends. Dog friendly, has wi-fi, allows children, smoking at front and rear. Food is chain-pub food, can be hit & miss. Good selection of beers and wines but not ciders (or not proper cider anyway)“
