“Der var 8 ud af 10 haner i brug, hvor 6 af dem var deres egne. Fra der vi sad kunne man se brygger tanke, som altid er et plus.“

“Great to find a brewpub in such a small town. Eight of the 10 taps were in use at my visit, containing six of their own beers, one Malbygg and one American cider. Their own beers are not bad, but they are dull and very safe. The board showed another two of their own beers on can, that you can buy to go or drink in, but unfortunately it was not updated.“

“Vik is such an interesting place, a relatively tiny village, but due to its proximity to some of Iceland's highlights, a bustling tourist town, too. This place is welcoming, but like most of our Iceland experiences, a bit brusque -- not rude, but also not very warm. The beers are good (and they have a great selection), and the burgers were amazingly awesome. Like everything in Iceland, very expensive. Brewery #985.“

“Nice place in the southernmost part og Iceland. Exterior is industry and a bit boring, but inside it is quite a gem with good view to the tanks. Good choice of their own beers and other locals.“

“Modern industrial and open layout with glass seperating the bar from the brewery. 10 beers on tap and a good selection of bottles and cans, also available to go. Fair prices, good standard of beers and food that includes a vegan option. Good service also. You might how all the prices end with 90. Damn that’s eerie.“

“Industrial brewpub in this little south-coast town. Great selection of beers, 10 draft and dozens on bottle. They sell their own beers as well. Of course the prices are high, but on par with most other places and the beer is better here. Food is reasonably priced and nice also. Nice people. Recommended.“

“Cute little place in a tiny village, with late opening hours, making this very convenient if you're stopping in Vík for the night. They had 8 beers on tap, only 3 of which were their own beers, the rest being Icelandic guest taps. Flights of any 4 available for 1900 ISK, which is the cheaper side for Iceland; staff were also nice enough to give free samples of other beers. Their house beers are discounted during happy hour. I really liked one of their house IPAs and their porter. They have a large bottle selection too, including many Borg special releases; however, you'd be paying at least 2500 ISK, and easily double that, for most of the interesting things on there, which just isn't worth the coin. Staff were friendly, but knew little about the beers. They are also a burger joint, and offered a vegan burger, which was nice to see. Definitely a worthwhile stop overall.“

“A modern place right in the heart of Vik (not too difficult, being such a small place). A decent selection of taps (10), with let's say fair Icelandic prices. Definitely a place to visit if stopping in tiny Vik.“

“Great place, when considering the size of the village of Vik (about 300 inhabitants). Located in the dining area of Hotel Puffin.
Honestly, the best beer place we encountered on the south coast of Iceland. And, admittedly, with better opening hours (read: days), though they still close early when there are no customers.

About 15 icelandic bottled beers, and maybe a few Danish ones. Gæðingur, Einstök and Ölvisholt (the only place I encountered that still stocked Lava) and obviously some standard lagers. Only bottles though.

Not worth a detour, but when travelling the south coast of the island, I’d say it’s your best bet for a nice beer.“
