“Karijola is a very well known pizza chain that's been winning accolades for ages and in the last few years - and in the last few years added craft beers (PVP and Varionica primarily) to their menus, sharing friendship & business connections with some of the people involved in the Prvo Viško Pivo project. While the Zagreb locations don't make for instant additions to RB,. what with the relative abundance of craft beer in the area, the Vis location, which I've had the luck to visit a week ago obviously stands out in an area where craft beer is rare. The quaint pizza place with a cute patio is located at the start of the Kut part of the town, between the Batarija fortress/archaeological museum, the town's schools and the Our Lady of Spilice church. Bit of a walk if you're staying at, say, hotel Issa or just have arrived to the port, but easily manageable really. Professional, friendly service. Prvo Viško Pivo Hoppy Lager and Pale Ale on tap and in good condition, a selection of PVP bottles on tap. A selection that's bound to be more exciting when the brewery finally opens on the island... hopefully before next summer. The pizzas are Italian-style and excellent, with prices typical both of the islands and the fancier pizza places in Zagreb really. All in all, while miles from the best beer place in the universe (or in Croatia), a must visit if you're visiting the island next summer.“
