“ICA grocery store in Sweden are normally not a place for ratebeerians. I would still say that there is a reason to visit this place. Because you will find some 3,5% beer from local breweries that you will not find anywhere else. Very central location at the main square (stora torget) in Visby“

“At the moment BY FAR the best place to get a beer in Visby. I can not find a bad word to say about this place. Solid bottle and tap selection. You will find many of the small breweries at Gotland presented here. Knowledgeable and interested staff.
Also very good food. The location is excellent. Almost right at the main square (stora torget). The pub do have some dark corners if you like to chat or drink your beer in peace. Or you can sit in the big patio at the back. Often some live music also.
Check out their web site. You will find the recipe of some of the beers.

“WoW. This place is just what you need. Good food (bbq stuff) and a quite nice bottle selection. A lot of American stuff. Friendly and knowledgeable staff also. That the staff are interested in the product they sell helps a lot.
The location is outside the main tourist traps in central Visby. Still not far to walk. About 10 min walk from store torget (main square). Almost at the south entrance in the great wall.“

“Modern looking restaurant located almost at the main square (stora torget) in Visby. Nice cousy place. Decent beer selection also. Not great, but you get some more than the usual dull lager selection these restaurants normally serve. Mostly a place to go if you want to eat. A little bit hip, but not to expensive. Solid burgers served.“

“Very central location, and yet a little bit hidden from the main tourist traps. I had to use google to find it. Although I know Visby quite well.
The staff had an “off day” at my visit. They wondered why I was so curios about the bottle selection. And would not give me any proper answer. It was not many quests there at the moment either. Well they did not have that good selection as far as i could see. They looked upon me as someone from outer space. Ok I left the building…….many other places to go with a lot better selection actually“

“A really nice and rare place. I would probably not have entered it I had not been a ratebeer user. Mostly a gourmet food store, but they have a couple of beers on tap. And not just some average pilsner. At the moment the only place to buy beer from Klinte Brewery. Family business. And this brewery have certainly broken some codes. Excellent stuff. Even a Flanders red ale.
Lovely kind of patio out in the street. Street are narrow in central Visby. Lovely place to sit and watch all the people. Together with some good food and a nice beer!
The low score is due to the low amount of beer available.“

“Small shop that sells local and national meat and food products. The have 2 taps from the local micro brewery Klinte Bryggeri. Sit inside or outside. Small food menu and some exclusive snacks. The staff are keen on telling you more about the Klinte Brewey, and this brewey really knows how to make beer! Great for a quick stop as you pass by. There is a ice cream bar and a toy store just next to them so great place to stop for a drink if you are in company with kids! Just send them in there and have a moment for yourself. It’s hard to give a fair score on a rating. You get 2 great beers on tap, just make sure u stop by!“

“A must for all beer enthusiasts visiting Visby. Easy to find - situated right down the lane from Wisby microbrewery. Good service and very friendly landlord in the classical British style. Wisby and Hop Shed on tap. Their house ale, Black Sheep Arms Ale from Hop Shed is excellent. Samples provided.“

“This wonderful delicatessen/pub/restaurant is a must for all beer enthusiasts who happen to visit Visby. The only place where you can get beers from Klinte microbrewery. They also had a (limited) selection of bottles from Hop Shed - another Gotland microbrewery.“

“Visited on a Saturday evening in late May 2016. The place was crowded with some kind of live music. The selection was nothing special although I did find a couple of new beers from Barlingbo and Hop Shed Brewery. The service was friendly. Located close to Amarillo. (around 4-5 minutes walk)“

“Visited on a Saturday in late May 2016. A relaxed place with tasty food and with a decent selection of both local and other beers. I tried some beers from two Breweries from Gotland that I had never seen before, Alskute Farm & Brewery and Hop Shed Brewery. Alskute Chops IPA was the best one of the local ones. The service was very friendly and the location is excellent in central Visby. I will return.“

“A rather large store with an ok selection. During my visit in May 2016 they had 6-7 beers from Barlingbo and around 10 from Gotlands Bryggeri. Centrally located in Visby.“

“Not a place I would usually visit, but circumstances forced me. A bit careless service by a cold waitress, food was decent but no more and beer selection minimal but with a few interesting bottles, though the IPA i got must have been a year old. All in all a forgettable place. Visited: 2015-08-14“

“Modern and hip burger bar on the corner of Stora Torget (the main square) in Visby. Service is good and the burgers tasty but the beer selection left something to be desired, with only two on draft (Carlsberg and Brooklyn Lager) and 20-something on bottle of which perhaps a dozen were decent (EPIC, Ugly Duck, Terrapin and Ballast Point). I’m a bit disappointed they didn’t offer a single beer from Gotland. Visited: 2015-08-15“

“Black Sheep Arms is an English style pub about 50 meters up the street from Gotlands Bryggeri, so they have direct lines to the brewery for some of their Gotlands beers. All told there are 13 beers on tap, most are fairly big brands such as Guinness, Kilkenny and Carlsberg but they had 3 Gotlands Bryggeri on tap when I was there. The pub also offers around 25 beers on bottle, many of them from the nearby brewery but they also have bottles from other Gotland breweries such as Barlingbo Bryggeri. Food is good, making the pub a popular place to go out to eat so you may want to get there early or book a table. Visited: 2015-08-06“

“Amarillo Visby lies just off Södra Kyrkogatan and I actually walked past it the first time, because it lies about 15-20 meters down a driveway and they hadn’t put up the signs yet. I knew the restaurant offered a good beer menu, including beer from the small and rare Gotland brewery Redcap Alskute Farm & Brewery. Unfortunately, they were out of Redcap Alskute on the first day of my visit. Instead I tried their Amarillo House Beer, an India Pale Lager brewed for them by Dry & Bitter Brewing Company in Denmark. The food is of the sharing type, with various platters and bacon sliders. All in all a nice and quiet place to enjoy dinner and a couple of beers. On my second visit they did offer Alskute which was surprisingly good. I also realized they had more beer on the menu, served at the bar outside, such as Omnipollo, Rodenbach and Edge Brewing. Amarillo is the best stocked beer place in Visby. Seriously. Last visited: 2015-08-15“

“Nunnan is located at Stora Torget, the main town square in Visby, and seems to be very popular. It’s probably making more money on wine and drinks but do offer a decent collection of beer, mosly the local Gotlands Bryggeriet, 5 on tap and 15-20 on bottle. Not my favorite atmosphere though, too noisy. Visited: 2015-08-05“

“Familjen Jessens Saluhall & Bar is located in the heart of old town Visby and serves as a shop, restaurant and pub, though the selection of beer isn’t all that impressive they do have a couple of small local breweries to offer, such as Hop Shed Brewery and Klinte Bryggeri. The latter is sold exclusively here. I didn’t try the food but the beer, served on tap, was good and the service very nice. Worth a visit if you want to try some Gotland micros while in Visby. “Nice delicatessen with outdoor seating in the very busy touristy Hästgatan, and also some seats inside. The seating outside is kind of narrow, but pleasant if you don’t mind people and cars squeezing by you. Very good service. Music is French crooners, it seems, but mostly unobtrusive. They have only Gotland beers (except Cruzcampo), and have both Gotlands Bryggeri, Klinte Bryggeri, and Hopshed Brewery.“

“Very nice English pub run by an Englishman with a big pleasant back garden and rather dark interior. Good service. If there was music I didn’t notice. The food is normal pub fare, but well executed. Very good beer selection, with some unusual Gotlands Bryggeri beers, plus a few from Barlingbo. Overall a very good experience.“

“A normal Systembolaget with a little bit of selection, but nothing unusual or very elaborate. Central location just outside the inner city. Given that there are only three Systembolaget shops on the entire island and the mainland is 3 hours away by ferry, I have to say the 60’000 islanders cannot consider themselves very well served by this. Plus points for some (4?) beers from local brewry Barlingbo.“

“A rather small calm place with a central location. Not a huge selection of beers, but very well picked ones from differend distributors. Good prices compared to Stockholm. Most dishes comes in half portions so you can have a three course meal at a very reasonable price.“

“Lovely place innside the ancient walls of Visby. The do have all the test brews from Gotlands Bryggeri. Direct line, almost a brew pub for them. It is just 53 steps away from The Brewery :-) They do also have Walkers Salt & Vinegar chips. Nice outside garden when the sun shines (and it always do at Gotland)“
