“We stayed in the Hilton Waikoloa during our Oct 2023 Big Island trip. One of the restaurants in the large resort is the Kona Tap Room. Unfortunately it has no view to the ocean and is hidden inside of the hotel. All Kona beers on tap in good quality. Service was super friendly. The place is lacking atmosphere. Was good for us as our hotel room was quite close, but not worthwhile to come here for the bar only.“

“We came here on 25.10.2023 and a few more times during our Big Island vacation. Maybe the bar on the island with the best beer selection. Up to 24 beers on tap from Ola, Big Island Brewhaus, Kona and Maui. Our favourites were Golden Sabath and Mo Hazy. Great Loco Moco, which they cooked for us although it was not on the menu. Ver friendly service.“

“Plenty of inside seating or at the bar. 24 taps of mostly Hawaiian beers, cans/bottles of non-hawaiian swill. Didn't try any food, but it looked good. Walked into the baño and found a giant cockroach running around. But they are located outside the bar, so not too surprising. Service and prices were average.“

“Located in King's Shops. Big patio area for outside seating, a few tables inside the bar area. Nice tap list of mostly local breweries. Good, fast service. Good food.“

“Came here because our reservation at another place fell through and it was what we could make work. Located in the Waikoloa Beach resort area though a bit tucked away. Pretty crowded late on a Saturday night, but we were able to get a table. Beer list is just okay, though they did have a random beer from Aslan (WA) and a house beer made for them by Knee Deep (CA). Food was just okay and kind of expensive—probably wouldn’t eat here again.“

“Small restaurant and bar located in the King’s Shops at the Waikoloa Beach resort area. Patio seating outside, a few tables inside, and a bar with a dozen seats or so. Draft list and foods menu are the same as the Kona location. They have a decent selection from Ola, Maui, Big Island Brewhaus, and Kona with a few other things mixed in, like a random sour beer from Lagunitas and a Mother Earth imperial stout. Service was decent enough. Pricing is on par with most of the island (beers generally about $8). If you don’t feel like leaving the resort area, this place is fine. It’s also one of the few places open late.“

“Rough spot, but great Happy Hour prices. Had some Big Island beers on. Not much else in the area other than the Kona spot at the Hilton. Worth a spot if in the area.“

“Good selection of beer, food is good too. Spirts bar with loud tv’s. If you like that you’re good. Waitress did turn down nearest warm hen we asked.“

“Not a lot of options for food and beer in the village, so you take what you can get. It's ok-but expectedly expensive and service isn't great. But it will do in a pinch.“

“Stopped in a couple of times during my week in Puako. The atmosphere is a cross between a sports bar and the 19th hole of a public golf course. Up to 25 draft lines now with a decent amount of rotation (according to our server)... mostly larger craft breweries from California and Hawaii, with the odd Colorado or Oregon beer thrown in for good measure. The food was quite solid, especially the ahi poke and the pizza. Likely your best craft beer option in the Waikoloa/Puako area, unless you want to drive to Waimea.“

“We came here first time 22.12.2014 after a round of Golf at Waikoloa Beach. It’s a shame they have no outside tables close to the course. Inside it is ok, a bar, some TV sets and several tables spread around the place, not a lot of atmosphere though. Beer manu is quite good (around 20 draft beers, all good, no Coors Light crap) - we had Dechuttes Chasin Fresh, Breakside Wanderlust, Coronado Hibiskus and BB Rabis Beaver Bite Rye IPA’s. Beers are served too cold, they are using pre-frozen glasses (how can you serve a West Coast IPA in a frozen glas ?). Service is very friendly and recommends beers outgoingly. Food is really really good, we had Fish and Chips and Fish Tacos, great fresh fish, was a real highlight! Overall a good place although they can work on the interior to make it more welcome!“

“Porter was outstanding! Peanut butter stout also very good. Tropics salad very good as were fish tacos. Give it a try!“
