“A nice little bar. Plenty of local taps of craft, as well as cocktails and a good wine list etc. Surprisingly raucous atmosphere. Enjoyable, probably about as good as you'll get in central Wanaka. As noted by Maakun, their tap board often just has brewery and style so ask the staff for the proper name if it's not up there, some of the Wanaka breweries are pretty hard to google.“

“A few benches in the brewery in a surprisingly industrial part of Wanaka, who knew that existed. Flights available of core range beers (very solid well made) or seasonals (pretty well balanced bizarre combinations). I had one of each and left very satisfied. Barman was friendly and helpful. Nice chilled out vibe. Extremely consistent well made beers, not a fault in sight. Shame they don't pop up outside of Central Otago.“

“You can do brewery tours, or buy bottles/fill growlers. Staff is happy to give you some stuff to try while you think about what to buy. Really friendly atmosphere here. They had 10 taps and about 12 different bottles I think. Mixed 6 pack is $25. Really worth a visit.“

“As you can tell by the name primarily a wine bar, but they also have lots of other drinks, including 10 taps of local beer. They also offer flights, so it's a great way to sample stuff from the region.

Bar is very modern and fancy, with large heated outside smoking area too. Very pleasant to spend a little time. Prices were fair, I tink a flight of 4 reasonably sized pours was $25. The only downside is that their menu in some cases doesn't list the beer names, only the brewery and style.“

Bottle-O Wanaka (Beer Store)

“Good sized light store with 5 growler taps, a few fridges of craft cans/bottles and loads of larger brands beer. Obviously a lot of wine and liquor. Prices were reasonable, the service was super friendly, so yeah it was basically like every other quality NZ liquor store. The NW supermarket in town has almost as much craft beer as here, but they stock different stuff so it’s worth a visit.“

“Brewery with taproom inside right next to the fermenters, food truck outside. Very nice vibe, lots of locals on a Friday late afternoon who came in for an after work pint. Quite a working class atmosphere here, very different from the tredy and tourist places nearer the lake.

Ten taps, including one guest. Some bottles too, including some cider. Friendly service and fair prices, they also do flights and growler fills. Nice place, though the beer was mostly just OK.“

“A very cool little place on an industrial estate in Wanaka - reminiscent of the brewery arches in Bermondsey. Solid if unspectacular beer. A great friendly vibe, plenty of seating, live music when I visited. Flights available and recommended. Really enjoyed it.“

“2016-05-XX. Interesting decor, the doors wide open to the air and the layout gives it a Caribbean/Florida beach town like vibe that borders on swanky and dodgy at the same time! Friendly staffer, pretty standard but decent selection of NZ craft beers. Good spot to stock up if you are in town for a while but don’t expect to find anything exceptionally rare.“

“2016-05-XX. Three taps, all Emersons today if I recall correctly. Some bottles in the fridge. Selection seems more focused on wine. Smallish seating area. Very close to the YHA hostel. Worth a stop but Betty’s Liquor Store on the other side of town felt like it had a larger selection of beer.“

“2016-05-18. It’s a bit confusing but brewery sampling takes place in a small cafe inside the Toy and Car Museum. They offer sampling trays of their beers, some from the four taps and some from bottles. We opted to try all of them and they varied from pretty good to not great, with a few showing possible QC issues unfortunately. They have a decent range of styles on offer. We opted to not tour the museum since we had just done the Warbirds and Wheels museum down the road but it looked fairly interesting. Definitely worth a stop while in Wanaka, but probably not worth making a special trip to Wanaka just for the brewery. Navigation tip: It is not in the airport complex as you might believe looking at google maps. It is just past it (towards the town of Wanaka)“

“Bit of an odd place, it feels like an old video store or something. Not exactly overflowing with ambience but had a great vibe nonetheless as it was full of folks having a drink. A very friendly crowd, seemingly more locals than tourists (not that I could really tell). Three taps (mostly Emersons) and a bunch of beers in a fridge behind the bar (which is a bit frustrating because it’s hard to read labels etc.). Lots of NZ wine too. Definitely worth a look.“

“A bottle store that also has some tables and chairs to try some beers and whisky. Loved the friendly owners and i cant wait to come back and visit again. The Fridge is full of nz craft beers at good prices. Also some taps of local changing craft beer, owner knows his stuff too,“

“A small beer and wine shop that seems dedicated to New Zealand craft beer. A half-dozen taps for growler take-aways and a cooler of ~50 specialty bottles offered as well. Friendly proprietor who knows the scene well. Easy to pop into on the way through town to grab a few bottles that you’ll likely not find elsewhere. Recommended if you’re in the area.“

“Wouldn’t call this a brewpub since they were closed at around 17:00. We were quite desperate for some food and a drink, so this was a bit of a disappointment. We drove back to Wanaka and had their beers and some food in a local restaurant. Guess it is more a brewery with some possibilities for a tasting.“

“Beware of this place - it is not located in Wanaka, as previously listed. I corrected the address, but be sure not to miss it on your left of the road, when driving east out of Wanaka - we missed it and had to turn around - only to find the place closed on an early Sunday afternoon. Looked real cozy from outside, but what a bugger after putting in a huge effort to find the place. The problem arises since the homepage doesn’t state any opening hours. I’m disappointed, but will return if my way brings me close again.“

“Very nice to visit this brewery and the small pub. You can taste all the brews with a good chat to the brewer and employees. Very small, but very nice.“
