“In a large older pub building, this new Wetherspoon incarnation has pretty much left the exterior how it used to be, and the interior still has features of its former interior in place such as fireplaces. It’s been opened up a lot and the upstairs area now looks down on the ground floor with an inside balcony. The bar is to the rear of the building where there is also a garden area, but there are a few picnic tables out front as well and its a wide road here so there’s no feeling of being congested in urban East London here. It’s directly opposite the tube station and serves rotating ales on a couple of rows of pumps.“
