“At the top end of Wardle in the historic village area just before the roads give way to the impassable hills, this is an old pub which you can see a 19th century photograph of on the tourist information board placed right outside the building in the small village square. The pub itself is a three roomed affair without doors with the main are and bar in the central sector which the front door brings you right into. The room to the right includes a couple of sofas in front of a fireplace and a very hand flat screen television to watch the live sport that happens here. It’s traditional in its look but it doesn’t eek the historic relevance to the village area in its looks or design which has clearly been updated through the years. Nevertheless its a friendly place with a permanent and guest ale always available here.“
