“The brewery side of Weed Alehouse. Very large place with a lot going on. Long tall bar and restaurant tables. Table tennis, bar shuffleboard, a pool table, etc. Good variety of beers styles and most were tasty, or at least passable. Available in flights of four or eight, except for the Coors Light. Food is flatbreads which are tasty enouh but a small size, accounting for the price. Very friendly service. Nice partially shaded parking lot patio“

“This place reminds me of my Dad's barn. Lots of interesting things and more things displayed in a random manner. The beers are okay. I had a burger, which was okay. The servers were great but at least understaffed by one on a Thursday afternoon. It also reminds me of my Dad's 1970 brown VW bus that we took to Mexico in '89, no AC and broke down twice. I love it for it's nostalgia value. I'll probably stop by again on my I-5 trips.“

“OK, first of all I can't for the life of me figure out why there are two "places" here. I am gonna combine them. The Weed alehouse and Mt. Shasta taproom are in the same building, and share a restroom. The Weed Alehouse is a rustic affair with limited parking - fortunately there is street parking as well. Kind of small town pub feel, rural decor. Tables and a medium sized bar. Not busy on Saturday afternoon. Service was a tad disinterested. I ordered a flight of four, which were pretty average other than the Porter, which was quite solid. Otherwise not-notable.“

“Stopped in for some refreshment after a long drive down from Portland. Man, they love the name of their town here! Just off the freeway, it was a no brainer to swing in for some late lunch and a beer. Very old school feel here. We were the only ones that weren’t greeted by name when we walked in. Very loyal local presence. Good visit for the most part. They had about 10 beers on tap, featuring the ones I’ve seen around, and a few that were brand new to me and seemed exclusive. Prices seemed pretty high, but with a limited selection of places right off the freeway, paired with us being on vacation, we didn’t seem to care. Our server was super nice and knowledgeable. On a side note, when she left for a break or something, the other server took over. We ordered a sampler of 4, and when they brought it over, they couldn’t tell us which was which, and even with my experience with beer, I couldn’t even confirm if they were the beers we ordered. This wouldn’t be such a big deal if I wasn’t there partly to take notes on some new beers that I will likely never try again, and with us being limited on time, we decided not to bother in correcting the issue. I don’t know, maybe that’s an odd thing to complain about, but it was a bit frustrating that they knew they had no idea which beer was which and they didn’t offer to try to make it right. Some of the beers were similar in style to the others they had, and I just couldn’t be 100% sure, though I’m sure my educated guess was correct. As an overall, it was a fun place to stop, and the food was good. Ordered the special, and it was unique and delicious. I’d stop again for sure when I drive back through.“

“Funny little alehouse and brewery in Weed. They have taken most out of the name of the town alright. Decent beers, decent pizza. The bartender wasn’t that talkative but neither were we... :) If you’re driving along the I-5, take a short detour.“

“Decent little bar just off the I5, with an old school feel. Service was pretty lacklustre - I think they were short-staffed, but friendly enough. Beer quality was very poor for their year-round beers, but a couple of their seasonals were quite nice. Price for sampling all 9 on tap was quite ridiculous ($20!). Not a must stop, but if you’re read for a stop on a long road trip, you could do worse than this place.“

“Definitely a funky, rural place. One bartender completely forgot about us and hung outside with her friends for like an hour so we had to find the only other person there to pay so we could leave. The beers that they bottle are alright, but their draught stuff ranges from just odd to outright bad (they were serving a clearly infected barrel-aged stout that wasn’t much of a stout to begin with). Almost feels like a hunting lodge or something and the brewhouse looks very science-fiction. I wouldn’t say that we had a great experience here, but we definitely had an experience.“

“Bowling alley, restraunt/pizzeria, and sports bar all in one. Small selection of craft brews, cheap PBR ($1 during happy hour), loads of spirits. Good selection of food from pizzas to sandwiches to bar food (poppers, wings). Tons of TVs in the bar. Friendly service. Saturday nights they have "Rock ’n’ Bowl," pay $12 for 3 hours unlimited bowling including shoes (though there are tons of youngins around for this).“

“Nice building with a real solid bar, reminds me of an old west style bar. Tons of bottles on the wall with an interesting basic decoration. Friendly staff willing to talk.Didn’t have any food but they have brats so I’m down with that. Growlers and 6 packs to go. Within walking distance of a disc golf course. $3 pints of the standard brews, $4 for a specialty/seasonal.“

“This is co-located with the Weed Alehouse, although the hours of the two operations don’t overlap much. Here’s a rating based on the Weed Alehouse: It’s reasonably funky. Thursday is Bluegrass night, and we were there on Thursday. So the rating is based on a special night. It’s a local with local musicians (on Thursday). No smoking. Staff was continuously available. The beers are Mt. Shasta, and there is a slight variation in availability. The food was hot dog. But really great chile to put on it. So it’s way out of civilization, serves it’s own beers, and has limited food menu. But everything there is fantastic.“

I had to really talk hard to get 2 of the remaining 12 bottles Lemurian, but the owner came in and was agreeable. More is in the system. They don’t brew huge quantities, but it’s pretty good stuff. If this place was in San Diego, selection, food and overall would be less. But value? 4 large samplers, 2 pints, 2 dogs and 2 bombers for $20 flat (plus tips for staff and musicians). Musicians seem to play for stout and tips. Pretty good music.“
