“The last few reviews say it all, and nothing has changed since phaleslu's review in 2021. If I lived in this area, or were staying for a while, I could do all my food and beer shopping here and hang out and chat with the neighbors and staff. And get an occasional pizza or calzone if I didn't feel like cooking. Slowly make my way through the draft list and grab an occasional bottle when the mood hit me. That's all I would need in life. I could sell my car, get a dog to bring along, and while away my hours in peace and happiness.“

“Stopped here for an early dinner after spending the afternoon at Hill Farmstead, which is about 20 minutes south of here. There's a general store in front and the pizza place is split into a front restaurant/bar space and back bar, with a deck and a tent in back. The general store has some good stuff, and some surprisingly good beer bottles available. There are 8 drafts and some good cans and bottles for on-site (pizza/bar) consumption, too. A few basic Hill Farmstead and Alchemist, plus some other local/regional cans and drafts. The pizza is outstanding. They had oysters available when we visited, too. Service was good, even as it got busier as we stayed. There's not a whole lot in this area, so I strongly recommend it for a meal before or after Hill Farmstead if you're up this way.“

“Located pretty much in the middle of nowhere though somewhat close to Hill Farmstead. This place has a small lot behind the restaurant but you can park on the “street”. They have a bar/convenience store entrance and a restaurant entrance. Good tap list with 3-4 Hill Farmstead on tap along with a large bottle list much of it available to go. They also have some pretty solid pizza as well. Worth the trip out.“

“Visited on a Friday afternoon after Hill Farmstead with the wife and AdamChandler. Pretty good recommendation, Adam. The place certainly doesn’t look like much more than an old, run down general store out in the middle of nowhere. Inside is a bit of a haven for beer nerds and pizza craving folk alike. Luckily I was both that day. Their draft list consist heavily of Hill Farmstead and a few other Vermont breweries. Lawsons and Alchemist were there, as well as bottles of Cantillon Classic. The pizza was excellent here as well. I tried the special of the day as well as one other, and both were phenomenal. If you are in the area, especially after a visit to Hill Farmstead, definitely come here. It is worth the time it takea to get here.“

“I’d heard good things for years about the place and when I went after FoFa I had high hopes. The taps for me were dull (Hills Farmstead & Cantillon but after FoFa I was looking for something maltier/hoppier) and the attached general store had been pretty much stripped bare. Pizza was good, vibe was family restaurant (tons of kids running around) but service was brusque. My friends rave about it but I wasn’t impressed, probably much nicer on a non-FoFa day.“

“Visited two times in 2015 after a trip to Hill Farmstead. Rustic place in the picturesque city of West Glover. Looks like an old general store, with crooked floors, hard and uncomfortable wood benches and mined parking. Service was very long the first time I went there, even if we were almost alone in the place. But flavorful pizza worth the wait. They have 7 or 8 beers on tap and always 2-3 Hill Farmsteads and sometimes, you can grab an invited bottled beer (had Jai Alai once). There’s a small convenience store beside where you can buy bottles to go. Small selection but pretty nice North-East stuff and imports as well (de Struise, de Molen...). Prices are a bit high but considering it’s the only place selling craft beers between HF and Canadian borders, I won’t complain.“

“Visited on a busy Friday afternoon in Apr-2013. Delicious "Green Mountain Special" for pizza selection, and we tried a couple Hill Farmsteads. Makes you feel like you’re in a cozy wooden cabin. Busy but friendly staff. Would definitely return if anywhere nearby again. (4/9/12/10/9/15) 80“

“Came here after a Hill Farmstead visit, to drink and eat. Great tap list. I had Brother Soigné and Works of Love. Great pizza. We had a spicy prawn one. Cool staff. The shop is well worth a look for VT food and drinks. The take out bottles was a decent selection, too. A must visit.“

“A must stop after Hill Farmstead! Draft list is really nice with lots of HF on it. Service was quick and friendly. Downer: you can’t order a bottle from the store next door to drink in the bar... Too bad. The pizza was just delicious. Try the apple one indeed guys! Overall, would go back any time after visiting HF.“

“Pit stop after going to Hill Farmstead. Small and rustic place with only a few inside seated tables. There were approximately 6 picnic tables outside but you don’t have any wifi signal. So if that’s important to you, keep that in mind. Unfortunately, even though I had signal inside, I didn’t have Internet with the wifi. Probably some temporary issue. On one side there is the restaurant and on the other side is the store where you can buy multiple things including awesome beers. I’ve bought Anchorage and de Molen bottles. Their on tap beer selection is quite nice. They had 5-6 beer on tap including HF Abner. Also, I heard that they have some beer on tap in the back. I had their pizza with apples. They suggested me that pizza and I was a bit septic but wow! That was the best pizza I’ve ever had. That with my Abner made me really happy and I wanted more. If I had a suggestion to make though: Please change the glasses for proper glassware. I hate to drink an awesome beer like Abner in a 10 ounces flute. Just doesn’t make sense. But aside from that, really nice place that I’ll sure go again in the future.“

“Stopped by in the afternoon and had a fantastic pizza and some beer. Tap selection is small but incredible. This day all of the HF beer were also available at HF but still incredible. The service was fine, there were only a few customers. It wouldnt hurt them to put a more obvious sign and the parking lot nearly destroyed my rental car but overall a terrific spot to stop for lunch!“

“Draft really nice, hill farmstead among others, bottle store selection is pretty good as well. As for pizza I go against the grain, nothing special, probably better than most of vermonts pizza but still has nothing on ny, nj, pa, ma, etc. Really cool bottles available for drinking in, cantillon, enough said. As like everywhere else in the area, speed not really their thing.“

“Stopped in on our recent HF visit. We were convinced we missed the place or that we were in the wrong spot. Went behind the store and found a cozy little spot full of great pizza and amazing beer! The staff was very friendly. We were quite happy with the available drafts and bottles. Some Cantillons even available at the time we were there. Would go back in a heartbeat.“

“Cool little place with food, bottles, drafts and pizza. The pizza was really good. Really nice backyard area good for dogs & children. I can’t imagine this place after a HFS event or when they happen to tap more than one HFS beer. The place is super tiny and as it was, it took a decent amount of time to get our pizza when there were only two other people in the whole place. With all that being said, really cool place and I plan to return next time we’re in VT.“

“This place gets BUSY evenings and weekends, and with a small oven the waits can get long for pies even with only a coupl other people in the place. Service is extremely friendly. Beer selection - HF Edward always on tao, plus usually a Grassroots. Mystic, Maine and Smutty FInest Kind were all n when I visited. The pizza is damn good by the way, with a focus on local ingredients.“

“This place feels like a house party where you pay for things. The pizza is great, the bottle list especially is excellent and super cheap, and the taps are good enough. It can however, be quite difficult to get a seat, a beer, or your food in a timely-ish manner, seemingly because they just aren’t staffed or equipped to handle even a modest amount of business. This makes it feel as though you’re eating and drinking at your talented and well-meaning friend’s place who hasn’t considered any of the details of having people over for dinner.“

“Been wanting to check out Parkers Pie since my first trip to VT but it has just never worked out, that was going to change this past trip for the HF Festival. Stopped in with a whole mess of people from all over the world.

We decided to pack up a few cars worth of people and head up for dinner after the Festival, that was a bit of a mistake, but more on that later. Atmosphere was pretty awesome. Inside was a little packed so we moved outside and grabbed the only available picnic table. It was so nice out so I had no problem at all spending some time outside with friends, new and old. Quality seemed pretty high. Top notch pizza ingredients make for some amazing pies. Draft beer selection was good but painfully slow at the front bar while the back bar was much faster it didn’t have as good of a selection. Bottle list was awesome, we picked up two of the last Lou Pepe’s they had for a more than reasonable price. Now for a bit of the bad. The service was painfully slow and we had to wait almost three hours for our food. I know it was the saturday dinner rush but come on, they said one and a half hours for a pie not three hours. We heard a couple different excuses as to why, seemed to change with each person we asked. Once our food did come it was excellent. Their crust is amazing and the wide range of toppings makes is really easy to find something you like. Also got the maple wings and they were excellent as well. Prices were on the borderline of pricey but the quality made up for a bit of it.

Overall, service aside, an awesome little pizza shop in the middle of nowhere. I will definitely return in the future, I will just make sure it is an "off" time.“

“Arrived at 530 on a Saturday, big mistake with roughly a 2 hour wait for pizza. I get being busy, but the staff was just slow about whatever they did. I talked to a few locals and they said that’s just how they run things. You don’t have many choices in the area so plan to go for awhile, drink some great beer, and don’t have any place to be. Draft list was ok, some local VT stuff but then some out of state like Humulus Lager. Edward was there but the only HF on tap, and it poured so slow it took 20 minutes to get my beer with a 15 beer wait list. The bottle list was stellar with great prices. Lots of tables inside and out back, so you can choose where you want to be. The pizza was great, wonderfully buttery crust. My only complaint was the people we went with and that ordered 2 minutes before I did got their pizza 45 minutes before us. Kind of makes it tough to enjoy dinner with your table mates when that happens. I’d probably head back to a Positive Pie before here, but I’d go back if I was in town for a longer period of time. 2nd time here and this time for a HF post FOFA event. Great beer and food, but again the servers just didn’t want to be bothered with beer crowd or non locals being there. Really frustrating.“

“Jamais je n’aurai aussi bien mangé loin d’un grand centre qu’au Parker Pie, une superbe pizza avec une Anchorage Galaxie. Quoi demander de mieux? La sélection en bouteilles n’a d’égal que les fûts bien remplis. Une petite épicerie bio est adjacente alors il est possible de ressortir avec quelques flacons. J’aime cet endroit et j’espère y retourner bientôt.“

“Conveniently located a few miles from Hill Farmstead, the Parker Pie allows you to draink a full pint of Edward or whatever HF beer they have on draught at the moment, a possibility you can’t get at the farmstead itself. So it’s a fortunate way to mood yourself for a long waiting line. The spot itself is tiny, but feels homey and welcoming. We went on a cloudy, wet Autumn day and seating was available. The pizza was perhaps lauded a bit too heavily before my visit and I ended up not appreciating it as much as it deserved, but it remains a tasty pie, just not in the American Flatbread range for my fork. I would not recommend driving to this place on its own, but there are not any better alternatives closer than Waterbury a solid hour away. Note this has changed a fair bit if you come for beer. Pizzas are still really good, but the number of tap lines went down from close to 15 to less than 5.“

“Waited over an hour for a table they said would take 20 minutes then we never even got it and ended up eating at the bar. Then the pizza took another hour, and it was only OK. Beer selection is solid, though, no doubt. Don’t come on a busy night.“

“Nice little spot tucked into the side of some rolling green vermont hills just down the road from Hill Farmstead. Staff is friendly, food is good, lots of locals stopping in for afterwork beverages. It was rainy but they have a nice outdoor seating area... will probably stop there again when Im in the area !“

“2013-04-26. Arrived for lunch time on a Friday afternoon and it was relatively quiet. Enjoyed a couple of Hill Farmstead beers on tap and shared a small pizza. I wish we had been hungrier as the pizza was great. The crust was a bit different, in a good way. We got the Green Mountain (?) special which had and interesting mix of toppings and drizzled with maple syrup. It was delicious but made me wonder what the more traditional toppings were like. Yumm! Pretty decent tap selection for a small pizza place in the middle of nowhere! When driving look for the general store, the pizza place is around back. We actually drove past before realizing it was the same place. Will definitely be coming pack if we are in the area again.“

“Visited before the HF Harvest Festival. Beautifully set very deep in the Vermont countryside in a tiny community. Has a bit of an old general store feel to it all, great ambiance. Staff was friendly all throughout and service was good. The food is mainly pizzas and they are really good. They have quite a selection of them made with farm fresh vermont ingredients which is fun. As far as beer goes well they always have a keg of Hill Farmstead on, plus several other fun rotating choices. If you ever drive remotely close to West Glover, Vt I highly recommend you stop by, I doubt you’ll be disappointed.“

“Visited Parker Pie after the Festival of Farmhouse Ales to get some pizza. I love the atmosphere, the pizza is fantastic, and the draft pours are very good. I think as pizza restaurants go, this is particularly good for craft beer, especially considering that there are two Hill Farmstead taps on. At the time, it was Edward and James. I enjoyed a pint of James with a very good Margherita pizza. The vibe is great, the service was fantastic and the food and beer are great. Definitely a stop to hit! I love the backyard too.“

“A really fun place. Visited here with Shaun Hill on a slower monday night. Definitely a locals spot but would be a destination for me if I lived within 30 miles. Pizza was awesome, obviously a few Hill Farmstead on tap and some other good regional beers. We happen to come on trivia night which was probably the most relaxed and laid back trivia I’ve ever seen at a bar. Great vibes here.“

“Needed a place to eat near Hill Farmstead and this seemed perfect - and it was. There is a general store up front that is sorta small but you can still eat there before 5, after 5 the back opens up. The pizza is some of the best I’ve had ever, and some of salads and other stuff coming out of the kitchen looked delicious as well - not too mention reasonable. There are 10 taps plus 2 for non-alcoholic interesting things (one root beer one something I can’t even pronounce let alone spell but it was still tasty) - a couple from HF and the rest were decent - plus they sell bottles (mostly DFH) and had bottles you could buy as well - had Pearl Jam and Bitches Brew just sitting in the fridge. Atmosphere is great, very relaxed with good service, and on Thursday (night we were there) they had a folk/acoustic act that was very good (and not too loud). Worth the visit.“

“This review is based on my recent visit to PP for lunch and then dinner on the same day. it wasn’t hard to find thanks to my GPS though i almost past by the place because i saw MARKET but decided to stop bc gps said so! Had nelson from HFS on tap and green mountain pie for lunch. Dinner was hosted by the HFS gang and i had the wings, cheesey bread and a sandwich that were all enjoyable. Overall i had a great experience at PP. Only can comment on the restaurant section and not the marketplace attached.“

“Came out here for dinner after a festival at Hill Farmstead. This place certainly feels like Vermont. Sort of a combination of market and pizza place, with indoor and outdoor seating. There was some live music going on when we came in as well. Good local beers on, including some Hill Farmstead stuff. Pizza was rather tasty, service was quick, friendly (there’s a lot of that in Vermont it seems). Now a part of my must stop list for anytime I’m up at Hill.“
