72 /100 121 MADISON AVE Great spot in West Yellowstone. Good people and service, super chill. About 15 taps of which about half are theirs. Good prices. Gift shop. Food is solid. State #37 of my tick at a brewery in every state challenge. TIIIIICK! |
74 /100 Madison Crossing Lounge (Restaurant) 121 MADISON AVE Low key classy restaurant. Food outstanding. Good selection of local drafts. Worth a visit. |
68 /100 Slippery Otter Pub (Restaurant) 139 N CANYON ST, WEST Traditional bar vibe. Large selection of local beers, flights available. Food was decent. Service was less enthusiastic than normal in this part of the world, but otherwise no complaints. |
76 /100 Wild West Pizzeria and Saloon (Restaurant) 14 MADISON AVE Lively saloon bar on one side, with a karaoke contest on when we visited, with (I believe) a family friendly pizza restaurant the other side. Beers and food are the same both sides. 6 local MT beers on, as well as a bunch of domestic macro stuff. Pizza was pretty good. Probably my favorite beer place in West Yellowstone. |
76 /100 Slippery Otter Pub (Restaurant) 139 N CANYON ST, WEST Slippery Otter Pub in West Yellowstone offered us a nice early dinner. Great beer selection of local (MT) microbrews, alright food (at least the bison burger I had) and good service. The place was kid friendly at least early afternoon (4pm). 27 beers on tap. Almost 20 of the 27 beers on tap were from Montana. Nice "Drink local" approach. Flights of 5 beers available.

74 /100 Slippery Otter Pub (Restaurant) 139 N CANYON ST, WEST Typical American bar, so expect a loud and friendly atmosphere. Quite a big selection of draft beers, mostly from local craft breweries. Food is just good, but nothing exceptional. Tried the bison burger of course. Prices are a bit on the high side, but on par with the rest of the town. Nice place. |
54 /100 Slippery Otter Pub (Restaurant) 139 N CANYON ST, WEST Pub was nice and food was good. Unfortunately we found a not very friendly service. But sometimes can happen to everyone. No problem because the day after we saw al lot of wild animals in the park! |
64 /100 Bullwinkle’s Liquor Store (Beer Store) 115 N. CANYON Odd layout with bar/restaurant and bottle shop. As previous review noted, mix packs of regional beers available. Okay selection. Singles were all warm, but when I went to the bar to pay the bartender kindly switched out for ones that were cold behind the bar. Good place if you’re here, and seems cheaper than the local supermarket with comparable selection. |
74 /100 Slippery Otter Pub (Restaurant) 139 N CANYON ST, WEST Visited this place when I stayed in West Yellowstone in September 2009. Had a bison burger here and watched a Cowboys game. Quite some locals here. Some macro and an occassional micro on tap. Decent selection, especially for the area. Might have even improved last years as the beerscene has grown significantly. Good pub. |
72 /100 Bullwinkle’s Liquor Store (Beer Store) 115 N. CANYON Not a huge selection, but fair number of "locals". There is a large double bin of singles with a bunch of empty six packs beneath. Sign says buy 6, but lady at the counter was helfpul; I bought 4 and she charged me 4/6ths. They claim to have "the most extensive collection
of BEER, WINE, & SPIRITS, in West Yellowstone." From what I’ve seen it’s likely true, and that probably makes it the best selection in 40 miles or more. |
80 /100 Slippery Otter Pub (Restaurant) 139 N CANYON ST, WEST Clean and modern, but suggestive of a much older time. Service was good. Beer selection locally crafty. Elk and bison on the menu. Good place. |
