“We visited here Sunday 1st July 2012, after cycling to Kidlington, Woodstock through Glympton and then onto here before Caulcott, Kirtlington, Bletchingdon, Islip and back home, longest ride we’ve done for a while about 36 miles in total I believe and this pub along with the Black Prince in Woodstock were welcome breaks from the occasional showers. A friendly welcome in this bustling pub with five beers available including local options such as XT8 and Hooky Bitter I had the former Loz had a Betty Stoggs both in excellent condition. This pub has recently won North Oxon branch pub of the year 2012 which doesn’t surprise me. The food also looked very decent. I think this is likely to pop up again on another long bike ride.“
