74 /100 WHITEHOUGH HEAD LANE,
“Large, attractive pub in a small village in the dark peak area of Derbyshire, well off the beaten track. Very well organised post lock down using QR codes and table service, nice and stress free. Not quite up to full steam on the number of beers available yet but enough choice to make it worthwhile, including the new micro brewery in the village and hand pump and in bottle. The food is excellent and filling, the staff very helpful. Well worth the effort getting there.“

“Really nice pub in a small village with a quite big selection of German and Belgium beers besides real ales. Good food (taste steak) and ambiance. Fantastic place in a country small village.“

76 /100 WHITEHOUGH HEAD LANE,
“Attractive country pub and a fantastic place to drink reasonably priced, mostly local, real ales with eight hand pulls as well as unusual keg beers including Timmerman’s lambic strawberry. It’s set in pretty countryside with large outdoor seating areas and I prefer to sit outside as the inside parts of the pub are dominated by its restaurant. “

78 /100 WHITEHOUGH HEAD LANE,
“By no means a particularly cheap pub but one with usually a great selection of beers. I’ve been twice, once for the twice yearly beer festival. There was 60 winter ales on at £2.80 a pint or £1.40 a half for those trying! It gets very full very easily with its low roofs. Overall a good country pub that also does a good selection of Belgian bottled beers too.“
