72 /100 Social Tap - Greenwich (Restaurant) 2244 N GREENWICH RD STE 100 After work spot. They have a an agreement with Nortons and feature a ton of their beers, although per the bartender they are not affiliated. Single size pours only. Great service. Food options seemed interesting. |
76 /100 1710 E DOUGLAS AVE Afternoon stop on a Wednesday. Pretty busy. Parking unpleasant. All of the lots are restricted, street is full of cars. Outdoor patio, some games, roll up doors. About a dozen taps. Flights of four for $12. Service good. Beer quality high, although the margarita gose was unpleasant. Worth a visit |
78 /100 Goebel Liquor (Beer Store) 352 S. WEST STREET, SUITE 400 Quite a selection, all cans sold as singles. Interesting distro, lots of TG and Surly. Good prices. Worth a visit for sure. |
70 /100 150 N. MOSLEY ST Old school place. Plenty of parking, large old style brewer pub feel. Indoor and outside seating. Bar menu. Core and seasonal approach to beers. Half pours, but no flights. Beer hit and miss. Service fine. |
78 /100 156 S GREENWOOD First Kansas place rating - woo hoo! This place has been well described below. Tables inside are largely dining room style, outside are picnic style. Tap list is interesting with good variety. No flights, but half pours are available. Solid service. Above average beer. Did not inquire about food, but there appears to be something available. |
96 /100 Goebel Liquor (Beer Store) 352 S. WEST STREET, SUITE 400 A world-class place located in unsuspecting Wichita, in the southwest corner of the city. Looks like nothing special from the outside -- just a big strip mall and generic-looking big liquor store. Inside is a pretty sensational beer selection. Since KS doesn't have much of a beer scene, you're treated to an outstanding selection of Midwest and abroad breweries from the US and internationally, including an awesome lambic selection (tons of 3F). They also have a bunch of mead (including plenty of the White series from Superstition). Price-wise, this place is pretty cheap, as is the state in general, but a bit more expensive than a bottle shop I visited in Topeka. If you're in Wichita, set aside some serious time to peruse this place. |
72 /100 150 N. MOSLEY ST Visited on 9th November 2022. Large venue in downtown Wichita in the old town. Large venue with large open plan bar downstairs, lots of old wooden beams holding the ceiling up. TVs showing sport. No flights available but do offer half pours. 6 core range and 10 seasonals on tap. Food was good and good value. Beer was OK. Some better than others. Worth a visit |
72 /100 630 E. DOUGLAS AVE., SUITE 150 Visited on 9th November 2022. Small place with patio on the side in the centre of Wichita. Food truck was on site. Small bar in a single room. Nice and tidy venue, locals were super friendly. 8 beers on. Tasting flight of 4 available as well as small pours. Beer was reasonable. Prices good and service good too. Nice spot and worth a stop |
76 /100 1710 E DOUGLAS AVE Visited on 9th November 2022. Single roomed venue with brewery out back on main road about 20 mins walk from downtown Wichita. Decor is plain with merch adorning the walls. It was popular with locals when we were there. Flights of 6 available and tasters were a $2 a pour. 12 on with a core range and seasonals. A few can in the fridge to take away. Service was friendly. Prices good. Beer was decent enough. Worth a visit and only a couple of mins from Central Standard. |
76 /100 156 S GREENWOOD Visited on 9th November 2022. A big corner plot a block from the main road through downtown Wichita. Large outdoor area and sizeable inside space. Nice mix of furniture gives a homely vibe in an industrial space. 8 beers on tap plus 3 guests. A selection of cans and bottles to take away. Beer was good, service friendly. Prices decent. Liked this spot. |
80 /100 The Anchor, A Drinking Establishment, Inc (Restaurant) 1109 E. DOUGLAS Visited on the 9th November 2022. Large 2 roomed bar on a busy main road. Decor is decent and place was really busy when we arrived. Food was popular although didn't partake. A good mix of local beer plus other highly rated US beers from brewers all of the country. Picked up a few catch up beers from Surly, Founders and Epic here. Service was friendly. Decent prices. Liked it. |
80 /100 Goebel Liquor (Beer Store) 352 S. WEST STREET, SUITE 400 I hit this place 9:00 AM on my way out of town. They have large quantity of beers in coolers available for sale as singles. Regional beers (KS, TX, CO) were heavily represented. There did not seem to be anyone present when I was there that were knowledgeable about the beers, or even interested in them. But someone must be to stock such a wide and interesting selection. |
84 /100 125 N. ST. FRANCIS A very pleasant venue with friendly and attentive service. I sampled (half pours) of all their beers on tap, and they were quite good. I also had a nice meal there, Enjoyed my visit immensely. |
80 /100 156 S GREENWOOD Very friendly and cozy brewery with some nice beers on tap. I hit it in the evening when it was pretty busy with a bingo game starting mid way through my stay. Half pours were available and generous. Service was attentive. Nice stop in Wichita. |
86 /100 1710 E DOUGLAS AVE Small place, former storefront I'm guessing. Street parking. Small bar with a handful of stools and scattered bar tables. Very tasty beers in a decent variety of styles. No food. Lots of regulars. Can get crowded. Should be high on your list. |
84 /100 156 S GREENWOOD One of my favorites in Kansas, this place alone justifies a trip to Wichita. Plenty of street parking in every direction, lots of outdoor picnic tables and a food truck. Inside has an L-shaped bar in the rear and scattered tables and comfy chairs up front, brewery off to the side but easily visible. Solid taplist with a good variety of styles, plus a fridge of mainly sours in bottles. Beers were very tasty - the farmhouse beer reminded me of fresh Saison Dupont. Worth going well out of your way for this place. |
78 /100 6160 E CENTRAL AVE A new (?) location for Wichita Brewing about 5 mi easy of downtown in a shopping center. Large indoor space, sports bar/restaurant feel. Plenty of TVs. They have a number of beers on tap, including Tallgrass beers (which they recently acquired). Their menu focuses on pizza and it was good. Worth a stop in Wichita although it’s slightly out of the downtown area. |
80 /100 707 N. WACO AVENUE #105 Slightly difficult to find, but just search for Sweet Allie B’s. Parking/entrance in the back. Cute little cafe. There are tables and a small bar. They have maybe 8 taps? Beers were good. They also have great food - had a soup/sandwich combo which was delicious. Great stop for lunch and a beer!
|
84 /100 125 N. ST. FRANCIS Awesome brewpub in downtown Wichita. Came here after running the Prairie Fire Marathon and it was a great stop. They have 10-12 taps, a bunch of styles, perhaps a slight focus on IPAs. Beer was good. Large indoor space, they had a large projector to display a football game. There is also a lot of outdoor space, but it was quite hot when I visited so we stayed indoors. They have food - mostly burgers and sandwiches. My sandwich was very greasy but tasty. Overall I’d say it’s a must stop in Wichita. |
74 /100 630 E. DOUGLAS AVE., SUITE 150 Small brewpub in downtown Wichita. Not a large indoor space, they do have some picnic tables outside but unshaded. Probably around 10 taps, all solid beers (I had a brut ipa, milk stout, festbier, and pale ale, all good). No food. Overall I wouldn’t say it’s a must stop, as there are quite a number of brewpubs in Wichita. But it’s a fine place to grab a drink. |
76 /100 1710 E DOUGLAS AVE Cute brewery in Wichita. It is a brewery only, no food. A fairly small place. Still a nice tap list with 7 regulars and about 5 specials. TVs inside. No bar but a few tables. Some outdoor tables. Beers were good (especially the coffee stout). Service very friendly. Pleasant place for a beer! |
78 /100 150 N. MOSLEY ST Nice brewpub in Oldtown Wichita. A nice building, there is outdoor seating and indoor (2 floors). They have changed some things for Covid it seems but overall a pretty large place. A bunch of TVs. They have a nice tap list - about 6 regulars, 4 seasonals, and 4 specials. Loved the milkshake ipa! Food menu is pretty extensive, American pub style food. They have pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. Shepherds pie was delicious. Service was very attentive. Great spot! |
64 /100 150 N. MOSLEY ST Solid brewpub in downtown Wichita. Really nice, large interior, multiple TVs. Caters to families. Parking can be a bit difficult, but the food is quite good. Beer is standard for this type of brewpub. |
80 /100 156 S GREENWOOD A cool spot with the bar in the back, open seating up front and a large inviting patio out front. Service was good and while flights were not available the bartender happily poured samples. They only had 6 beers on tap but it appears they tend to run closer to 10 most of the time. Half pours are available though the standard size was 13oz. They had a food truck on site and prices were overall fair. Best brewery I have visited in Wichita. |
78 /100 150 N. MOSLEY ST Patty and I stopped in for a flight. About 16 Beers were on Tap. We tried 5 and the were true to style and good. I liked Emerald city stout the best. Nice big clean place with lots of TV's with sport shows on. |
82 /100 125 N. ST. FRANCIS Patty and I stopped in for lunch. It's a nice big clean place. 12 of their beers on tap. The 4 I tried were all good. The food was good and different. I had the fried green tomato BLT. I liked the 'Don't Pole the Bear' Stout on nitro best. The outside area looked nice, but it was 95 degrees the day we went. I could not use my growler I brought, I had to buy a crowler to take beer with me. |
62 /100 8815 W 13TH ST Decent food and good but not great beers. Selection of beer was like a standard boring 1990s brewpub with a few IPAs. At least it's locally owned. |
80 /100 1710 E DOUGLAS AVE Big fan of this brewery. Easily the best in the city in terms of the brews they make. Cozy interior, free popcorn, and eclectic decor. Walking distance from downtown. Visited with Jess, Erik, Justin and Sasha. |
88 /100 125 N. ST. FRANCIS Beautiful looking brewpub with some pretty good beers served on a fancy flight tray. All were quality. My daughter ordered the fries which were good and came with different sauces. Worth a stop. |
64 /100 8815 W 13TH ST Looks like most brewpubs with wood interior etc. Servers are attention. You can get an 8 beer flight. Nothing special in taste. Food is pretty awful. Pizza is like something my friend who doesn't know how to make pizza would make. Hardly wood fire. But I will stop anywhere and try beer so no regrets other than the bill. |
84 /100 The Anchor, A Drinking Establishment, Inc (Restaurant) 1109 E. DOUGLAS First visit to this Wichita icon. Late afternoon and the place was busy. Great selection of tap beers, did not have time to look at their bottle list if they had one. Service was fine, no flights or half pours available. Well worth a visit. Basically in downtown Wichita. |
84 /100 125 N. ST. FRANCIS Thursday afternoon visit. Was busy at 3:00 p.m. Nice layout in the heart of Wichita. Opened a few months ago. About a dozen of their beers on tap. Thought the five I tried were all very good. Everyone I visited with related that the food was also excellent. Looking forward to visiting again. |
100 /100 Burgardt Liquor (Beer Store) 3027 E PAWNEE They have a massive selection of Avery. Vanilla Bean is my jam. |
100 /100 Burgardt Liquor (Beer Store) 3027 E PAWNEE They have the largest selection in the area. Every time I stop in it seems they have something new they just got in. They have the largest mix a six selection with 10+ doors full of single beers organized by region. Very low prices and if you get six or more you get a 10% discount. They have a whole wall dedicated to bombers. The staff is really friendly and extremely knowledgeable and can help you find something you will enjoy. |
100 /100 Burgardt Liquor (Beer Store) 3027 E PAWNEE Massive selection and all the singles are available cold. Looked like over 1300 different beers from the bomber wall to the mix a six. If it's available they carry it. Really friendly staff and extremely knowledgeable. |
68 /100 756 N. TYLER ROAD New brewpub on the west side of Wichita. Has been open for only one month. Service was fine. Prices were on the high side. Only two of their beers on tap. Five or so guest taps. Think six of their beers nearing availability. Beer quality as to be expected with a new brewery. Will visit again. |
76 /100 707 N. WACO AVENUE #105 New brewery in Wichita. Eight of their beers on tap. Restaurant sharing the same building. Park in back, front entrance not being used. Nice atmosphere. Service was friendly. Prices seemed fair. Worth a visit. |
84 /100 Goebel Liquor (Beer Store) 352 S. WEST STREET, SUITE 400 A must if you’re anywhere in the general vicinity. Close to the airport -- very convenient when I was on a project a few towns away and could swing in for a mix-6 to add to my suitcase on the way home. |
76 /100 630 E. DOUGLAS AVE., SUITE 150 Visited on a Thursday afternoon around 4:30. Nice "neighborhood" brewery feel. On a main street near the heart of Wichita. Not too far from the "old town" area. Staff was attentive and prices seemed more than fair. Fairly new brewery that is worth your time. |
100 /100 Lightner Retail Liquor (Beer Store) 1548 S. WEBB RD. STE. 1 Awesome store!! If they don’t have it they will get it! The staff is on point and Ty has become a leading craft beer store in Wichita! Need a beer or something special chances are Lightner’s will try to get it for their customers!! |
100 /100 Lightner Retail Liquor (Beer Store) 1548 S. WEBB RD. STE. 1 Great selection, the best prices, and the best staff in town! Ty and the rest of the staff there definitely know their products and are always very helpful if I happen to have any questions. In addition to that, they have a great social media presence so it’s never very hard to find out the newest arrivals and their prices. I pass at least 10 other liquor stores on the way to this one because it’s just that good! |

100 /100 Lightner Retail Liquor (Beer Store) 1548 S. WEBB RD. STE. 1 Ty has the best selections at the best prices and the best knowledge of great beers with awesome recommendations. I never leave here disappointed. Much better than the other big beer store in town. It all boils down to personalized attention and honest business. Also social media posts let you know the latest allocations and deals! Check them out, you won’t be disappointed! |
100 /100 Lightner Retail Liquor (Beer Store) 1548 S. WEBB RD. STE. 1 BEST STORE IN WICHITA! Ty and crew have the best selection of craft beer along with wine, whiskey and everything you could need in Wichita! Not to mention the best price on everything! I’m a huge sour fan and highly suggest this store! |
74 /100 1710 E DOUGLAS AVE New brewery in Wichita, that opened about six months ago. Located on a major street, parking was not a problem. Eight of their beers on tap. Service was excellent. Beers were above average. Only had time to try three. Will give it another visit next visit to Wichita. |
80 /100 156 S GREENWOOD Very friendly place in Wichita. Has been open for about four months. Nice selection of their beers, did not ask about guest taps. Crowlers available. Service was very helpful. Nice interior. Will go back for sure next time I am in Wichita. Prices were decent. Looks like a brewery on the rise. |
74 /100 2142 N, TYLER ROAD New brewpub (?) in Wichita. Stopped in and tried 3 of their beers. Beers were decent. Was doing big business for lunch. Bartender was great. Prices seemed fair. Had a pint of their Winter Stout for $1. Will stop in again when I have more time. |
82 /100 Goebel Liquor (Beer Store) 352 S. WEST STREET, SUITE 400 Store front, festooned with beer posters and neon. Lots of coolers and shelves, and a handy locals-only cooler. The employees were very attentive, knowledgeable, and entertaining. Massive selection of singles and bombers, with some interesting options. Prices seemed fair, and my visit on a Wednesday got me 10% off. Well curated selection, and great employees. I’d come back again, if I am in the area. |
