“Attractive pub. Was concerned that there may be nowhere to park but the large cars where hiding empty spots in the tiny carpark out front. Lovely old building on a bank over the neighbouring road. Small interior with low ceiling and beams..it's nice to see a country pub that apparently specialises in food (owner is a chef) also take the beer element seriously. As well as the one beer brewed on site there were three other casks and six or so kegs. Mainly more modern breweries (Fauna, Siren, a couple from.up north I had to look up and now forget the names), plus a few from Renegade (aka West Berks), a keg Pale Ale from Arkells, plus a Lolleys cider. Helpful friendly staff. Sat outside in the Ocotber sun. Would return if in the area. Would like to try the food as well.“

“Nice traditional English inn. Low ceilings. Good service. Nice selection of casks. Five of their own brews available and around 20 taps including ciders.“

“An attractive country pub, the sort of place where you might bump in to Inspector Morse. Having their own brewery is an added bonus.“

“A lovely pub both in terms of atmosphere and beer selection. He stayed here the night and I was not disappointed at all by the beer, 9 cask ale pumps, including a couple of the Innformal beers brewed on site, and a decent selection of local and national ales. There are also about 30 Belgian beers which means there is plenty of choice. The food was good too and there was a nice buzz to the place.“

“Not sure how this is not on the the Rate Beer data base. Visited for lunch on a Monday. Pub was busy, but not packed, spacious pub with a beer garden. All nine pumps were on, and as was all the cider. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. A must visit if you are in the area.“
