66 /100 8 NORTH STREET Visited with the family in August '23. Oldskool English pub with a very large enclosed patio with picknick tables around the back. Order at the bar inside. Had a decent meal and a few beers here. Only one of their own available when we were there, but it was a tasty one. Some other local brands from cask / tap as well. Certainly worth a visit when in the area, nice place to sit outside in the sun and have a few drinks. |
78 /100 Scrattings (Internet-based) 2 LUXTON WAY We visited this online site dedicated to cider and placed an order on the 7th January 2019. This was the first time that I had used the website, and I never really looked/explored the site any furher than the Ice Cider section as I knew exactly what it was that I was after. However the website worked well, it was simple and straightforward and easy to navigate. The order arrived very swifty, three days I think but to be fair they had tried to deliver the day before, I think that it was sent via Parceforce 48hr. The order was very well packaged, (I'd only ordered two bottles). The prices were very good in fact the cheapest I'd seen for the one particular Ice Cider that I was after. I would definitely use Scrattings again. |
68 /100 8 NORTH STREET This has a village pub feel, mainly filled with locals. Two main rooms with big group tables. Mainly set up for lunch but it was a Sunday when I visited. They had 3 of there own beers on as well as 2 others and some cider including on hand pull. Prices were reasonable, although only tried there own beer. |
