| 70 /100 Anglers Rest (Bar) 66 PARK STREET “Associated with the Geeves brewery in Barnsley. They have 5 Geeves beers on tap, 1 guest beer and 2 macro beers. One of the Geeves beers was a handpull cask. The rest are tap beers. The barman was friendly as were the locals. There's free wifi. The keg beer was 2.60 a pint. The taps beers were about 2.30 a pint. I liked this place and will be back“ |

| 58 /100 Horseshoe (JDW) (Bar) 30 HIGH STREET “Set back from the road at the end of the wider pedestrian area amongst the main High Street shops in the small town centre, this pub is a conversion of an early 20th century building although the decor inside is relatively bland. It is recognisably a Wetherspoon inside with the usual set of wooden tables and chairs, but there’s lots of wide pillars breaking up the open plan ground floor space, and just a few pictures of the local area in its past adorn the walls. There are two rows of real ale pumps at the bar and a side patio area that isn’t too easy on the eye.“ |
