60 /100 Wyoming Package Store (Beer Store) 1199 MAIN STREET Nice selections of Micro’s available cold. Decent selections of bombers but at no extra value. Liquor is more of an after thought to beer. Zed kid is real weird and is talking out of his a**. Worth checking out though. |
70 /100 Wyoming Package Store (Beer Store) 1199 MAIN STREET I’ve stopped in here a few times over the years and just realized it is listed on ratebeer. Its a small store with one set of shelves for bombers and imports and several refrigerators full of craft and macro beers. The selection is decent and there seems to be an effort to carry local items, which I like. My last trip I picked up a couple of New England ciders in addition to some CT beers. I usually stop in a few times a year and find something I haven’t had before. |
80 /100 Wyoming Package Store (Beer Store) 1199 MAIN STREET I like this place. Small, but with a decent singles selection, completely fair prices, and some fairly rare and sought after beers. It’s also quite a bit of a beer museum. In April 2010, I saw Stone 08.08.08, Left Hand Goosinator 2007, Samiclaus 2007, and the GABF 25th Anniv. beer. Very friendly staff who comped me a nice Newcastle glass from a relatively small purchase of beer and wine. |
78 /100 Wyoming Package Store (Beer Store) 1199 MAIN STREET Fantastic location right off of 95, minutes from the CT/RI border. Great local selection of cold six packs, but the real find is the shelf of Belgian and German bombers. Brassierie, St. Bernardus, and Chimay to name a few. Really competitive prices too, and if you are a wino they have a good selection of wine. Friendly staff too. |
72 /100 Wyoming Package Store (Beer Store) 1199 MAIN STREET There isn’t an amazing selection of craft beers, but there’s enough there that I found several I hadn’t had, and the owner seems committed to bringing good beers in. The selection isn’t as good as Wakefield’s, but it’s a heck of a lot more convenient, being right off I-95. For that matter, if you’re coming from the South, you basically go right past Wyoming en route to Wakefield, so there’s no reason not to stop in. There was a limited singles selection, but I forgot to ask if they would break up 6-packs. |
88 /100 Wyoming Package Store (Beer Store) 1199 MAIN STREET Very surprised to see this place has not been entered yet. The store is located a minute off I-95 and Route 138 and is incredibly easy to find. The store itself is not large, but holds a small armies-supply of beer. The ambiance has always been great on my visits and the service has been awesome with well beer-educated staff. The selection is excellent with a large number of micros: Stone, Lagunitas, Dogfish Head, Avery, Anchor, Great Divide, Flying Dog, Victory, etc. and a large collection of Belgian and German brews: Rochefort Trappistes, St. Bernardus, Orval, Aying, Schneider, etc. This place has become a regular stop for me and has something new everyday it seems. Check it out. |
